posted a message on Stealth nerf on APOC (Or mirrorball)
Just tested vs Ghom on T5 - about 40 seconds, still about 45m EDPS (he had 1.8b hp), same as before when I tested. White burn tick numbers were about 40m every half second at the end. I did notice I got hurt from the poison a lot more than last time, with 1/3 the LoH. It would be completely lame if they removed any special *inherent* effects from the extra missiles, like conflag's burn stacks or glacial spike's freeze - then it'd just be boring extra damage. So for now it seems us MB users are safe as far as MM runes go on the offensive side of things..

You could give up Slow Time on the offensive build for something like meteor shower, blizzard, or explosive blast - anything that doesn't interrupt casting MM. It's just that stuff gets cleared out so quickly on T3 and below for me that it's not even worth adding another damage dealer.

The idea is that with a 3-missile Mirrorball, nothing beats the dps from MM conflag, so you never want to stop casting it to switch to something like wave of force, which takes longer to cast and doesn't do any more damage.

I thought I just saw a thread with ignite beating FW for everything but single target, especially with 3 missiles proccing it and with my added fire damage, but I don't have the link at the moment.

I guess you could take Pinpoint Barrier instead of Storm Armor, but when you already have 57% crit chance and 3 missiles twice a second with a chance to crit, it seems like the additional damage everywhere else around you triggered by critting for Shocking Aspect would outweigh the CC - but I haven't done the math on that.

I wouldn't say T5 is efficient for farming for me, in terms of the speed guys go down (I'd run T3 to farm for speed) - the point is that it's totally manageable and fun to play with the added challenge (and the drop rates and XP are high). Elite fights are definitely not long, arduous endeavors. I should record a video..

    Yeah, it's probably that.

Wow, I just did some frost testing (Glacial Spike + X)... and it was really bad. Even with 36% frost damage gear (and 0% fire damage gear), as soon as I switch to Conflagrate the damage goes up (didn't run a full test because I was too squishy and died). I'll stop at this point as this doesn't make any sense before I get Frostburn's or Azurewrath... staying fire for now.
Yeah, I've done extensive testing after getting my MB, and nothing stacks up (HA GET IT) to conflag.

Hey all, I saw the glass cannon T1-T2 Mirrorball/conflag build on the main page, and figured I'd share my more defensive spec that works for me on T5 comfortably.

Since getting the Mirrorball was the subject of many of the comments, I'll point out that I spent about 4500 shards before getting a leg at all - since then (in the past 1500 shards or so) I've gotten about 6 legs. My first two legs were a Chantodo's (bugged 3-secondary) and then a +2 Mirrorball VERY shortly after. :D

    My wizard:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/schmal-1704/hero/15950423 (the only bugs I see with the profile are my pants are actually 90AR/400vit and my MB is 284-322dmg).

13m toughness and 1.2m sheet dps with this spec, although it's actually closer to 45m edps when you have time to get the conflag stacks running on a single target, based on my calculations with T5 Ghom.

Offensive build for T3 and under

    Defensive variety for T4-T6

I have no issues running T5 - the mirror images spam b-hole EH and slow time stuns, so sources of damage are pretty much negated. With Illusionist, you can get new mirror images up right away when you're in trouble, and they'll pretty much immediately throw out more slow time stuns and b-holes. I really only have to be careful with fire chains, electrify, and reflect mobs (things EH won't suck up).

As far as the more defensive variety and what I swapped in: Evocation allows you to get a targeted b-hole up faster if you need to kill an affix in an emergency. ST has about 20 bubbles up when fighting elites and spamming mirror images, so you get tons of stuns with the PoNR rune due to all the overlapping bubble edges (though this requires more pulling of dudes into your b-hole to group them up for MM).

On the offensive end, I see no reason to use glass cannon - you basically want to stand in the middle of all the action unless it's fire chains or electrified, because standing in your BH will keep you safe from most affixes. Audacity does the trick with no downside. I think Unwavering Will is a no-brainer for any T-level, as it has offensive and defensive benefits - you're standing still most of the time spamming MM.

I can maybe do a video if there's interest in that.

posted a message on Transmog on "traded" leg (2.0) doesn't work
My friends and I trade transmogs all the time after ID'ing. I don't think that's it. I think the Firebird set is bugged - I had the chest and after transmogging it to Ascended, it never showed the original legendary skin again in the Transmog window, no matter how many times I checked.

posted a message on Is there something that everybody else knows about arcane torrent that I don't?
Arcane Torrent doesn't penetrate (and thus doesn't hit tons of enemies unless you use Cascade - and even then, the AOE is not the full amount of damage). Frozen Orb and Disintegrate penetrate and hit as many enemies as there are in their path. Same reason people don't really use Ray of Frost (though they might with that new legendary that gives RoF penetration). Also, AT has that delay before it starts firing/hitting - doesn't feel very fast to me.
