posted a message on Whats your favorite Necro build so far?
    Quote from balnagghar»

I was always a big fan of the summoner back in the day - current build I'm working with is all about keeping 10 mages up permanently.

    1 - Devour (aura rune)
2 - Command Skeles (attack speed rune)
    3 - Command Golem (Bone)
4 - Army of the dead (Death valley)
LC - Siphon Blood (aoe globe eating rune)
RC - Mage (The one that leaves corpses)
Passives: Life from death (makes globes when corpses get eaten), Extended servitude (mages last longer), commander of the dead (cheaper skele nuke/golem stun), Overwhelming essence (extra padding for initial skele summons)

Bone set - Convention of the Elements, Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac, and reaper's wraps. When its out, the phylactery that gives another second to skele mage will be vital.
Cube: Furnace, Tasker & Theo, (jewelry idrk, I just use star of azkaranth)
Topaz in helm, prioritize resource cost reduction rather than CDR.

Upcoming notes: Furnace may be replaced by the one that fires free death novas when you eat corpses, or the one that gives a free random curse when minions hit stuff. Main hand I wont know until we get the legendary powers revealed, im currently just using a high dmg roll witchwood.

Basically I just nonstop spam-cast skele mages, walking around to eat corpses and occasionally left clicking to suck up every globe in the room to fully fill health/essence.

im using almost this same build, except with revive in slot 1. its lots of fun.

the whole problem stemmed from the type of playstyle implemented and trying to make game-speed/killing-speed match the fast pace of previos generations of Diablo.

they just implemented FAR too much incoming damage to the game in order to keep that speed up. its too late now to make any decent combat style work. imo leave LS alone and FIX THE $#@%#&^% LOOT BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE

"The 2 billion gold Auction House cap might get raised, but it's a fairly complex thing to do technically"

this is the last thing we need at this point...

also, itemization not untill next year just made me decide to just walk away from the game till then. not worth it since that patch on the horizon was the only thing keeping me interested enough to keep logging in. :(

technically you CAN have a separate self-found mode now.

i'm a US player. but if you open options in the launcher you can choose to play from EU or Asian servers.
sometimes i play on EU and just dont ever enter the AH there. boom! self-found mode!

i wouldnt mind a small raise in the drop rates, but not too much.
my problem isnt finding essences, its keys. i wish they'd move the wardens to less populated areas. key farming is a major PITA now...

it may sound scary at first "less items will hit the ground"
but when the items on the ground are inherently of better quality, its a much better quality of life in game all around.

its a much needed change for the game to continue to survive (imho) because the economy is so bad from everyone thinking every orange item they find, or mediocre rare is worth millions, when in fact they should take any offer they get for them.

its not just blizzard, but many skills. traps, leaps, all the long range point and shoots, then there's soooo much environmental point and click built into the game.
and its not just combat skills either, basic movement for kiting or los or escape are going to be horribly difficult with a gamepad

i really hope this is planned out well...

Why is it not in budget when 1 million only cost 25 cents. 50m = $12.5 !!!!

Some people might not want to spend real dollars, And some of us never got lucky early on to get the god mother of all godly loots to drop back at the start of the game. 99.9999% of all things you find are vendor junk and you need to be very lucky to even get 1 item that sells for more than 10k gold. 50 million is ultra rich budget for most people that wasnt extremly lucky and got the godmother of all awesome drop in the first couple of weeks of the game being out.

That is a false assumption, everyone has to purchase this game to start. The gold is super cheap now compare to $4 a million in the first few months. If you are saying that you don't even have 50 million or more and you have been playing since the release, then I seriously suggest you to buy the golds now. Since the begin of our world, we are trained to do things efficiently and effectively

i could not disagree more with your point of view.

of all the online games ive ever played, i have never once paid for in game currency or items. the fact that it is even necessary in some is either a failure of design, or just a blatant ploy to boost a company's profits. which i as a consumer am less likely to buy a product of that company in the future.

if you cannot complete a game INSIDE the game, then why play it at all?

i refuse to be an ATM, frivilously wasting my money for a few pixels.

as one of the few who despise the AH, i only make 300-500k PER WEEK. i'm tired of these "budget" guides, and "exciting new gems" with pricetags that demand only constant AH players could ever afford.

remember at the beginning, when Blizz promised the AH would never be a part of the game they forced you to use? yet the new marqise stuff now demands it???

i'm not sure how i feel about this. but i will say this: the console PS version of D1 was inferior to the PC, yet i played it more on the PS than i did PC simply for the fact that i was less likely to use a hack or cheat, and it was more satisfying as an experience.
