I played D2 a lot. I used to play a barbarian. IIRC, before LoD one could not re-roll skills, and I did some terrible choices with my char.
I didn't want to start from scratch, so I downloaded a trainer to create a new char with the correct skill choices.
But with the trainer in hand, me and my friends started theory crafting about different builds, until we finally decided to start creating over powered chars just to have fun fighting each other. We got all the best items of the game, made incredible builds, and kept fighting for quite some time. Then it all lost the fun.
When LoD came, we started playing again, no cheats. After a lot of play, we decided to try or luck online in pvp. We got owned so bad, it was hard to justify. After some tries we realized everyone we fought online was using trainers. Then we decided to give another try, and that was the only way to be competitive, as the cheating allowed people to have several times the maximum number of skill points.
We did have fun, for some time, until it was just pointless.
I don't know how was the competitive pvp scene without cheats in D2 as I was never able to find places where people were not using any, but I still had a good time playing it, until it was just pointless.
Was I a criminal for doing this? Well I don't think so. It was only a game, and it's not like I had killed a hardcore fair player.
Just to give some perspective.
I really do like the fact that now we cannot have those things anymore, but hey, again the only thing that was hurt by these cheats was people's pride.
Well, apparently a lot of people here never played a ps1 with game shark :-)
I agree that D3 is not competitive at all, and if you're tired of repeating everything and find a code or something to make it more desirable to play just use it if you're having fun. If that is actually a cheat and you can get banned from the game because of that? It's your call.
Again this is a game, there is no money involved, only pride. The only prize you win achieving the top of the leader board is the right to brag about :-D
That's my opinion, you have the right to disagree, no need to argue, as it won't change my mind.
So if I don't need it for the oh shit moments, what would you suggest putting in it's place? Have you messed around with anything else there?
If you want to keep the fury aspect, there is war cry, ancient spear, overpower, revenge and threatening shout.
War cry is good if you need the defense.
Ancient spear if you wanna get some lone ranged mob.
Overpower if you want to stay offensive and have a high CHC.
Revenge if you want offense and defense.
Threatening Shout also for defensive purposes.
If you like to stay into the crowd, and don't have any problem with defense, I suggest Overpower.
A little defense needed, Revenge.
Some more defense, Shout.
Even more, War cry.
And if you prefer to kill the ranged mobs using something other than tornadoes, Spear.
Furious charge and sprint seem to be redundant. Are you using furious charge as an escape, a mobility skill, a fury generator, or ?
I do like the versatility of this build and will try it later.
Furious charge should not be used as mobility, since you stop moving for a small but significantly irritating time after use.
Furious is for generating fury and "oh shit" moments.
While sprint is for steady fury gen, dmg and also mobility.
hey! just created my account here to congrat you for the nice build. I'll try it and see what I can get!
But.. I can't buy the full IK set right now.
You told it was not unfeasible, but very nice to have.
Could you elaborate on your opinion of no IK 5 piece?

Oh well, I can't stop talking :-)

Just a bit more about the comparisons.
Why do you get a ticket for speeding?
Because while speeding you endanger yourself and others.
Why can't athletes/fighters use steroids?
Because it does harm your body, and in some sports can make you harm others as well.
Things that are prohibited are meant to protect people and property.
In a game as Diablo, the only thing they want to protect is the health of the game.
When you find all the items you ever wanted to have, the game loses interest to you. That's why they have to punish cheaters in D3.
Now, what is a punishable cheat and what's not, that's highly debatable, but the judge here is blizzard, not us.

I agree that there is something fishy.
