I don't think "Now only drops for Wizards" means what everyone seems to think it means. I think it means the item will now roll as a Wizard-only item. It would boggle my mind if it actually meant the other 5 characters could not stumble upon a Wizardspike. My 2 cents.

I always thought a system of augments would be the best item sink for D3, and would improve the AH experience dramatically.
Imagine if the requirement to augment actually took a while to meet (kill 100 elites, collect 5m gold etc) and then rolled the random affix(es) of the item and bound it to your character.
Buying things on AH would be like buying UNID's now, except "safe", and you'd be able to get most of what you needed on an item at a good cost. Then, put in a little work to see if you have to go back to the AH.
On-topic, this sort of system would work even with these epics (and in absence of AH). Hell, it'd even allow the devs to tune droprates higher if they made the Augment rolls unenchantable!
