I've collect 8 of those damn machines now, but never tried an uber. Clearly, i need a build that will give me a chance, ideally around mp 6/7. I'm facerolling mp4/5.
Yes, I know it's easier to just get a group (and more efficient).
I've seen a bola shot/traps build that was facetanking, but I'm not sure if i've got the EHP for that.
I've run a similar build (if fact i think i'm using it right now). With a Spike trap SoJ, the traps do HUGE damage with the pulsing trap (forget the name). Just keep dropping traps and spamming nades. In fact, with a good high dps xbow, it works even better with HA. Pop gloom, spam traps, mobs melt. I dont bother with turret, since most mobs are done before I could even get one down.
Problems are, fast moving mobs that flee, shielding, and not seeing reflect until you've dropped the 3rd trap. Popping gloom after the traps are down is BAAAD! since they dont give LL.
Traps are awesome in A2 for key farming. Invisible snakes explode as soon as they pop!
It's no good for alkaizer, but would probably be good for a high MP build.
Try out:
HA - Devouring
Spike Trap - echoing blast
Gloom
Prep
Vault
*free spot* (i like bats for regen)
archery
numbing
vengeance
You can drop 6+ traps in 1 gloom, which is 6x3x275% = 4950% wep damage in just over 5 seconds. To everything in 8 yds!
I can attest that Multishot rapes mobs in lower MP's. It goes through almost all environment objects (like doors and even some walls), and has a huge kill range. Combine it with some extra crit from DH gear, and it is highly effective, spammable, and instant hit, so it's fast. Sometimes, it even seems to hit multiple times on the same mob if they are very close (can't confirm, but seems to have occasional HUGE dmg spikes).
Manticore, not a question (good dps rare can work too). I was a windforce guy until recently, and loved the extra hatred, but not worth the dps drop.
Perhaps if i had more luck i would of found something that would sell for more then 500k.

If you've been on a budget, pretty nice job. I'd say 7/10. 2 things right off the bat. Get Vengeance instead of Night stalker. You don't have the crit to make NS work well, and vengeance is awesome for the extra hatred.
More CD. I'm at the same kind of place and trying to get more. Ammy looks like a great place, since it can have 65. Plus, you should be fine without all the MF there.
Last, it shouldn't be too hard to find a chest upgrade. That one is pretty middle of the road.
hmm decent dh, but I assume, too low dmg now there is monsterpower. but there's room for upgrades. maybe try to get a 2nd part of the natalyas. I like that you play bow-A-zon. I give you a 5 out of 10.

Yah, dmg is a little low right now, but I JUST broke 100k, so now I'm optimizing. Loving the bow though. Was running Multishot with the Disci rune before, and basically had perma-gloom (do you find Fire at Will better?). As for Nats, i keep trying but every option so far (under 100mil) has been a ddowngrade, even with the 2pc. I'm thinking boots has to be the way to go. Facerolling MP3, but I'd like to be farming MP5.

You could upgrade the ammy on a pretty tight budget i think. And you might be able to bump your health a lot by trading some vit for life%.

Hah! Profile must not have updated, i'm wearing Fire Walkers with 239 dex, 68 vit, +5k Health globes. Old gem ... ah hell, an 3 most recent upgrades aren't showing. Will update profile (i'm a newb poster here).
Gloves, ammy and wrists were just upgraded, in favor of less MF and more CC/CD. Finding trifecta in a budget is near impossible. (but I do have some sweet 100mil+ Lacunis w/str/CC/mf i'm trying to sell).
Oh, and i used to go EA/BL, but I'm REALLY liking the lots of Disc i get. I can basically have perma-gloom as long as there are decent packs, with the globes and Vengeance powering my MS. Maybe I'll give it another shot now with the added dmg??
Big question is, where can i make best use of less MF to get additional CD?
I just passed 100k paper doll, and I'm at a point where I'm finding it difficult to pull the trigger on upgrades, since they involve saccing other stats. Facerolling mp2, comfortable in mp3 with around 250 MF unbuffed.
Plan right now if for Nat's 2 pc for the crit. But then where?
