playing for 1 or 2 days with friends while doing the season journey is pretty much all D3 has been for me in the last couple years, so adding an extensive follower revamp that is only available in singleplayer.. dont wanna complain about free and new stuff but..

Non-Lifesteal Skorn and WH means only 3% total Lifeleech, probably gets you killed if you face electro/molten/plague/reflect dmg combos on mp8+
maybe try playing with Rend-Bloodlust or switch to dual wield with at least one weapon having Lifesteal on it?
Ah and, cleave and frenzy? I know you dont want a cookiecutter build, but Dnno maybe try out Bash-Punish+Hota-Smash/Thunderstrike for left n right mousebutton, Battlerage - Into The Fray is almost mandatory too, at least if you want to use HoTA frequenty.

2. not 100% sure about this, but mighty weapons (mainhand) and animosty are not very popular anymore, people mostly used them back when it was best to farm mp1 for XP. you did run low on fury often because mobs died too fast if you had semi-decent gear, so people used mightywpns and Animosity for more perma-WOTB uptime
id say 95% of the mid to top level barbs use axes or maces in mainhand today, the 10% crit chance is just too good to give up, swords in mainhand can compete in DPS but you need a lot of CC on your other gear to maintain the "fluidity" of your fury generation, imo
3. check this page http://i.imgur.com/57kGJ.png
its somewhat outdated, for example RLTW tornados went from 20% to 8% coefficient
the site talks about lifeonhit but its basically the same for battlefrage-intothefray chance to generate extra fury
only 8% of the tornado crits will give u the 15 extra fury, while Bash-Punish crit will always give u the 15 fury
spamming HoTA nonstop with a full fury bubble works best if u stand in plagued&molten, hit something with reflect or w/e and get fury from damage taken, I guess it might work if u got a Stone of Jordan and/or IK Belt with Hota cost reducement, but generally people either spin thru packs of mobs and get the fury to spam Hota from RLTW tornados or by using Bash-Punish (which Id recommend) because you will get the 24% damage buff that will make your HoTA hit very hard - you spam HoTA when your fury is maxed, and after a couple of swings you bash 1,2 or 3 times to fill your bubble again and go back to HoTA
4. not sure about Rends fury gen, it has about 33% coefficient so if anything its not reliable but Rend is usually used as a fury dump (for WOTB toC) not a fury generator

the topic is 2 month old but 1.0.8 hasnt done anything to VoA
most ppl did run voa mp5-7 eventho they have access to extremly good gear

Tom Hardys shoulders or what?
cant really judge them not many shoulders with similiar stats on EU SC GAH, any ideas/offers?

both specs "require" critchance and critdamage for fury generation and damage output, the more the merrier
attackspeed helps by boosting the amount of ticks a tornado will do ( http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4902400739 ) and will also help a HotA build by swinging the hammer faster and so on
before Ive always played WW for normal runs and switched to a "Hota/rend/overpower/butnoSprint" spec for Ubers, nowadays Im playing WW with HotA as the optional skill instead of warcry/rend/overpower. Some people play Hota with run like the wind sprint but I'm not a big fan of that
to your playstyle
like you said yourself, if you want to keep looting as you do now, you will lose your zerker many times and might wanna consider a spec without zerker or at least without the Thrive on Chaos rune.
if u havent, check this thread out http://www.diablofans.com/topic/92606-nerf-to-wotbtoc-what-are-us-barbs-going-to-do-now-new-build-to-tryout/
also good to fall back onto incase Blizzard goes ahead and nerves the Thrive on Chaos rune sometime in the future
if you want to play 2handed you will need a skorn, the only viable 2hander. Skorn-based barbs work very well with builds that utilize Rend and possibly the Bloodlust rune for it, dealing a ton of damage and healing you a lot aswell and again, Rend can be build into both WW and HoTA specs if u so desire
I can understand the urge to loot everything, I have the same thing with killing mobs, I hate leaving that one stray white mob with half hitpoints alive that eluded me and will almost always turn around and make sure I kill it and everything on the screen and check if anything dropped
I'm not trying to change your mind, by any means, go ahead and loot all you like,
but Ive also played the whole identify and salvage game for so long and it cost me quite an effort to quit that behaviour
but looting blue items and even yellows that u know will never roll anything to be worth using or selling, ive given up on that, i mean once u get to a certain magicfind/monsterpower level that will bascially fill up your inventory every 2 minutes. even only looting yellows becomes an annoyance when you know 99.9% of it will be trash, but that is your call to make

my char:
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/captainchaos-2479/hero/10636038
total budget is 600m
Considering a 3%cc mempo but thats 600m on the EU AH right now for about 10k dps
crafting bracers to use 90str Innas but I'll need a pretty sick roll to make up for the hp+allres lost from switching out my Blackthorne's
I guess im focusing too hard on +IAS from what I've been reading on these and other forums but I wanna hear some more opinions before I do any changes to that

black weapon means it ONLY deals physical damage - the "+xxx minimum damage and +yyy maximum damage mod is considered physical by the game engine (which leaves the weapons background black)
a non-black weapon (wtf) is basically a weapon with build-in elemental damage (if its arcane for example the background isnt black anymore, its purple, golden for holy dmg etc,)
the "+%elemental damage" [what is on your Stone of jordan or zunimasa boots, trivumvirate etc} will only "buff" the weapons physical damage and leave ANY weapons damage that is ALREADY elemental (arcane in this example) "unbuffed"
thus making black weapons receive higher benefits from your +%ele dmg items ending up in more total DPS shown on your inventory
this way "colored weapons" benefit a little bit from the [SoJ, Zuni boots etc] but just not so much cuz a lof of their DPS comes in this "unalterable elemental damage"
blizz has stated its considered a bug but they re undecided yet as how to deal with it to not punish players who have acquired black weapons
correct me if im wrong
edit: ok Jaetch beat me to, I blame 2nd language and 7am
