Fitsu posted a message on Blizzard changing trials mid seasons.I'm surprised about how much hate this guy is getting... He makes a valid point, they've released a patch which makes it vastly harder to achieve a higher ranking, regardless of if you bother to compete or even play seasons some people are and even in the last couple of days people having been obtaining rank 1 spots so changes like this are just bad for the idea of competition.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

xrmb posted a message on Stash improvementMy solution for season stash is: only buy one tab, then when it rolls over to regular stash I get the new 2.1 tab and can put all my stuff there.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'd actually prefer if we could go away from stash tabs at all and have an armory, maybe a building in town. Where I can store my stuff. You can have a shelf for armors, helms, gloves... a rack for weapons or shields, a jewelry box. You can also buy mannequins, and transfer a complete gear setup there (with skills). You could give these mannequins names like "fire super wizard"... just imagine, you use your char, go to the armory, click the mannequin you want and you get automatically redressed and skilled...
...or you just salvage everything... -

Fehfeh posted a message on Blizz let us not Auto pick up potionsTemp solution: Put potion in inventory, preferably above the legendary one which I keep on the bottom right side. Wait till it stacks over 100. Sell the 100 potions and put the excess potion stack back in the same spot. This way normal pickup won't be annoying and neither will picking them up from other players in town. I visit a vendor every ~5h or so. A lot less frustrating than constantly selling/dropping them.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
But I do agree. The game should automatically stop picking up potions as long as you have a legendary one equipped. -

http://www.DiaBro3.com
Hey guys, you can find your Optimal MP level on this website as well as a quick gear analysis. This site is built to give you information quickly so you can spend less time deliberating over what content makes sense to run or which piece of gear is pulling you down.
Hope you enjoy it.
**UPDATE 10th August***
API Limit Increased, thank you all for you wonderful support, an amazing community here.
******************************
---EDIT---
I wanted to post this in here so it could be seen more easily. We updated the website and have had a wonderful response, a large element of these changes were catalyzed by this forum, I want to thank you all for your help. Our site is developed to help the community, and it appears that the community has helped us even more.
Thank You
--EDIT #2--
Zero(pS) suggested I edit the original post with the following, to make it more accessible, thank you..
Post From Page #3
Sorry I haven't replied in a while, we have been very busy working on adjustments for the site which are largely driven by this forum. We have done adjustments to calculated ehp that are live and should be much more accurate now, so please check those out, and we are currently working on other tweaks. We aren't declaring that the site is perfect, one thing it can never predict is how a player wants to play, we do not wish to adjust how someone wants to play and we encourage it completely, thus we will never satisfy everyone. The goal of our website is to supply you with an mp level that will suit your current gear, as well as give a quick overview of your gear so you don't have to spend hours theorycrafting over which items is holding you back.
The feedback received on this forum has been phenomenal, we really appreciate all the support, there has been a lot of time and effort in the criticism of our site, and we treat this as gold. We cannot improve without critique.
Thank You.
===Update September 4===
DiaBro3.com - Update http://www.DiaBro3.com We have just finished an update we have been working on for a while. It is our goal to provide an increasingly helpful resource for the community. For anyone not aware as to what DiaBro3 does, simply visit our site and throw your battletag in the search. We'll take your character's information and help you figure out which MP level is optimal for your character with their current gear. We'll also rate your gear and let you know which items are holding you back. Our latest iteration contains the following adjustments:
- DiaBro3 Recommended Builds We have added a new section below the armory which will display builds that we encourage players to use. We found that we wanted to provide a platform for new or returning players to jump in and this part seemed key.
- Full Calculations Displayed We were always using a more in-depth analysis of your character, which reaches beyond the armory, however, we wanted to show more of this information to you. It has its very own tab so you can view this information if you want, or keep it simple. We located it below armory, and below the recommended builds.
- Nephalem Stack Chart We are really excited about this one. Not only do we analyze the ideal MP for you to farm, but we also dynamically create a chart which grabs your gear, paragon, mp, etc and shows you a breakdown of your experience, magic find and gold find for each stack of nephalem. This is located inside the Full Calculations section.
Thank you all for such amazing support! -

FoxBatD2 posted a message on Ladder concern - character slots?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from Sigma
you have 12 Character slots
SC = Wizard, Witch Doctor, Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Crusader
HC = Wizard, Witch Doctor, Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Crusader
There is 10 slots used, Leaving Two for Ladders. that's more than enough, as when the season is over your ladder character then goes to the relevant mode, HC or SC. at which point, you simply remove all the gear you want to keep to your stash and delete the character. Now not everyone will have that amount used so it is just an example.

riptide posted a message on AH gone, jsp to take its place ?I found selling items for a huge profit was *almost* as good as when I crafted them. I feel the same way about seeing an insanely good deal amongst the spam each of the 999 other ppl in trade channel 1-10. It's also awesome when I turn around and sell that to somebody else and we were both satisfied with the trade.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Don't get me wrong, I love finding good items. Not as much as crafting, but I do enjoy it. I also happen to enjoy trading. Not using the AH, but actually bartering. It's like a separate social game.
Besides what else am I suppose to do in my quest for perfection. Sure I'd rather find it or craft it, but it just didn't feel good having 15 + cruel mats of evis in my stash and none of them were perfect. It did feel good when I traded them though! Btw I did craft not 1 but 2 300/63 cruel mats of evis, one got 1 socket and the 2nd got 2. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I've played through several characters including hardcore and softcore and don't notice worse drops the second time around.

Magic find in this game has been explored exhaustively and proven conclusively that if you are killing the same monsters in the same quantity in the same amount of time, the person with the higher MF wins that competition every time over a long enough time period.
The key there is all of the variables that are held constant. If you have 10% less magic find on MP1 than you do on MP6 and you go through twice as many monsters, you will find more legendaries on MP1, that's just math!
1
From my own personal experience, the number is probably closer to 0.5%
Anyway, you don't want to craft anything right now. When you play anything past Act 2 MP0 (and all of MP1+) every item you find has it's affixed rolled from the level 63 range. Craft items don't currently go any higher than 62. I think myself and everyone else are saving Brimstones for the inevitable crafting patch coming who-knows-when.

4.5% crit chance is top now on rings and is an outlier. If rings then suddenly roll to 10% those 4.5% rings become way less valuable. esp with the rings now rolling stats based to the monster level instead of the random drop level. If every ring you drop rolls ilvl 63 stats now instead of the 20% or whatever chance you had a ring to be lvl 63 before, you're going to have waaaay more 63 lvl affix rings rolling around (~80% more). A 4.5% ring was valuable before because it was the max value and now it's going to be less that even half of that high value... i mean seriously, how can that not be a huge reduction in price? Compare the difference in price between two trifecta rings, both with high crit dmg and high attack speed... the one with 4.5% crit chance compared to 2.5% crit chance... the difference is Millions and Millions.
