posted a message on How to travel on a budget

    Hey guys!

It is not a secret that traveling full time is something many people want to do, but only few actually end up doing it. The main reason against it is mostly the high costs than are connected with touring around the world.

I have traveled through 100 countries and full time for the last 3 years, writing down every single euro in the process and on average just spent 9.563,74 euro per year! That includes everything from flights, food, entrance fees or a local haircut. Considering the fact that I have been to some pretty expensive places such as the Caribbean, West Canada and Greenland, it is a number that could easily be lowered to something like 3.000 euro if you would stay for longer in a cheaper place.

Now I am always asked the question of how I manage to travel for so long and that's why I took some time to write about it. If you are interested in my top 10 tips on how to travel on a budget, please check out the link below and leave me some feedback in the comments!

I would also love to hear how much other people spend in a similar situation for instance and perhaps I missed something very important? Thanks so much! :)

    Cheers,
    Chris

Our first campsite in the Karijini National Park, Western Australia was the Albert Tognilini Rest Area. Got a really cool spot to chill out during sunset before preparing the usual camping dinner.

The staircase to the Moon in Western Australia is basically a full moon rising over muddy sand bank in the ocean during low tide. The main location to see it is Broome, I missed it there though and see it from Port Headland. In the end, it probably looks exactly the same anyway.

One of the reasons why people flock in to Cable Beach in Western Australia: riding the camels during sunset! Nothing I wanted to do myself, but certainly a great motive for a photo.

Another picture from the Tunnel Creek National Park. Coming out on the other side of the cave after wading through some water, you get to these cool looking Stalactites up on the roof.

The Tunnel Creek National Park in Western Australia. Pretty cool hike through little caves and water, my favorite spot was actually this one right at the entrance looking back.

Absolutely stunning atmosphere during sunset at my all time favorite free campsite and also best unexpectedly awesome place in all of Australia: the Boab Quarry Campsite! More pictures to come...

The pool at Lake Argyle was probably the highlight over there, pretty awesome view for sure! It's only this empty in the morning before they open it ;)

This amazing climbing tree can be found in Lake Kununurra, just around the corner of Lake Argyle in Western Australia. Great spot to cool off for a while before hitting the road again!

They say everything in Australia wants to kill you... However It's certainly not as bad as it sounds and you will barely get across any of the really dangerous animals. This snake is probably not even harmful, but still makes for a good picture in Gregory National Park.

Hey guys, I have used my Sony A6000 and you just have to keep the spare batteries in your pocket for warmth. No problems at all.

My first encounter with the kids in East Timor, our planet's newest country. I only spent a few days there, but it felt like a much longer time and I quickly became part of the local community. This little fella apparently liked my company too haha.

Some surprisingly stunning rice fields on the way back to Moni village on Flores island in the East of Indonesia. Had no idea about them and it was one of the prettiest I've seen in the country!

The amazing colors of Indonesia's Mount Kelimutu. The volcano in the far east of Flores island actually has 3 crater lakes with 3 different colors and is certainly worth the effort to get to!
