    I feel like I haven't seen much about legendary plans in the beta - can you craft droppable legendaries, or are they separate like today? If the latter, do we know which ones are craftable?

    Another change to Paragon I haven't seen mentioned much is the new stat distribution:

    Core: Primary Stat, Vitality, Movement Speed, Max Resource
    Offense: Attack Speed, Cooldown Reduction, Critical Chance, Crit Damage
    Defense: Life, Armor, All Resist, Life Regen
    Utility: Area Damage, Cost Reduction, Life on Hit, Gold Find

    Builds like that always depend on the hour-long shrine buffs - it'll be interesting to see what happens when those gloves inevitably gets nerfed hard.

    He's in Torment 3. Honestly I don't think a build is even in the running for being considered OP until it can farm Torment 6, unless there's something else incredibly broken about it.

    Just like with WoW, the purpose of the pre-expansion patch is to update the game to the same version that the expansion will use. So every feature that will be available to people who don't own RoS will be included in the patch. And everything that requires you to buy RoS won't be available until the expansion launches obviously.

    Never ever going to happen, there's just no reason to piss off players like that. Gold will drop much faster in the expansion so no one is going to be set for life based on what they accumulated in Vanilla. Besides, having a disproportionately huge amount of gold doesn't get you that much, everything important has material requirements.

    It's not OP that you can kill monsters by standing still doing nothing, because nobody is actually going to do that in practice. They'll be using their attacks to kill them faster - there's no reason not to do that(one of the legendaries actually adds your Thorns damage to your attacks).

    Now if it turns out that the combined thorns damage + attack damage makes this way better than any other build, then it will be nerfed somehow. The answer still wouldn't be to nerf Thorns damage though, it's those legendaries that make it possible.

Removing the AH sets self-found as the new standard for what gear progression should be, and the difficulties are balanced accordingly. And more importantly, we already know they're doing a dozen different things to address the root problem by improving loot drops, rather than "fixing" it by allowing people to circumvent natural loot entirely.

    Cooldown Reduction should be a powerful stat - it's a primary affix so it's always a DPS or survivability tradeoff. Remember that you only get 4 of those per item so there's no way to get the perfect item with every affix you want like in D3. They can just tweak the values or the cap to make it not too abusable(to prevent a repeat of CM).

    Actually they are apparently adding boss-specific drops, presumably for crafting. There was a "Maghda's Tormented Soul" item that was dropping off of her in the beta (though it couldn't be picked up).

    They're never going to go back to a model that incentivizes "drop and recreate games as fast as possible to kill this one boss over and over" though.
