Makes me feel sad knowing that we are waiting for patch with minor changes for 2 months. Makes me feel wonder how long will we wait for some real content patches...
Minor changes? "real content" you will get in an expansion, not in these patches, this isn't a subscription based game like WoW where you get content updates every few months.

True enough, but D3 was fundamentally broken upon release. Blizzard has (finally) acknowledged that and new content needs to be added to shore up what has proven approximately a month after release to be a rather shallow game in certain aspects.

They also promised team deathmatch and then took it away, so I do think Blizzard owes us "real content" prior to the next expansion. I imagine they will introduce some form of an endless dungeon in 1.10. One thing you can say about Blizzard is that they do stand behind their games, and D3 is no exception despite several shaky months of denial last year.

Or, buff inferno. Add MP 11-15! :D Yay!
What I'm saying is that WW build is fucking booring as shit, they need to give us something else.

Well, you could try a HOTA build, or a REND/WW build. They also gave you 4 other classes.

Some much needed QoL finally being added to D3. Really looking forward to not guessing when to renew my Punish buff. Guess I just have to remember not to carry two shrine buffs though, lol.

Anyone know if the id-all option is 1s, or does it total the amount of time it would take (so for ex. 10 legs takes 40s)?

No one quests, so I don't understand that tag. However full act clears may make sense given how they will be buffing monster density in the other acts.

They should also add an Uber tag.

so what is actually coming in the next patch, just monster density ??

    ... so much win

No, there's so much more than just monster density. It's just that Blizzard is still discussing, planning and working on these other things that they don't know what to tell us yet. They have to iterate these things to a fine point y'know.
    /sarcasm

So perhaps in another week we'll get round 2 of the answers to their dog-and-pony show, then a week after that the PTR notes for 1.08 will come out. Then a week after that the PTR for 1.08 will be released. Then, after a couple of weeks, 1.08 will come out.

Soooo.... basically 5 more weeks before 1.08.

And that doesn't include any fixes for the $@#&^ itemization that's afflicted this game since day 1.

Far too little promised, implemented far too slowly.

These Ask the Dev segments are just dog-and-pony shows meant to buy Blizz some time to hastily scrap together fixes for significant design defficiencies that should have been identified prior to May 2012. JW really dug a deep hole.

Ok so lets get 1.08 before the end of the month please. It takes too long to fix D3. Even if 1.08 fixes everything wrong with itemization, we'll still be running around act 3. The only difference is now maybe we'll pick up some blue gear to salvage since there'll be less to loot overall.

Either an id-all or reducing the time to 0s would be fine. The latter option is an easy fix from Blizzard's side as it requires no UI changes.

    Nice writeup. :)

Would this build have enough DPS to down ubers fast enough at MP8+? You suggest swapping out for HOTA if you want more DPS, but if doing so I would also suggest swapping out the BR rune for Into the Fray to be able to use HOTA more. I'd also switch out the def passive for Superstition in this case.

That is it for the answers? Talk about a failure. I highly doubt that there were that many high upvoted questions about "brawling" at all; instead they picked it because it was new and shit and as such needed to justify their idiocy to their followers. While the actual hard questions were ignored like usual since they cannot answer them because it is so glaringly obvious that the game if flawed in its' two core aspects: Character Inherent Power and Itemization.

The theme for the Q&A was 1.0.7.

Which means nothing to players. We know why 1.0.7 is trash, why "brawling" is trash, and why anything new they add doesn't actually enhance the game (Paragon did nothing, buffed legendaries did nothing, and buffing damage of skills does nothing). Because the core game is broken. As such, unless they actually answer the tough questions, then why even bother doing a Q&A? All it is is a PR stunt for the loyal fanbase, but quickly disenfranchises the on fencers to go try other games or just ditch the failure that is D3.

I don't agree with any of that. The core game is not broken, and every patch since launch has been a considerable improvement. There are still improvements left to make, but many of them will come in future patches, and the rest I don't mind waiting for an expansion if need be.

If we assume that the core of an ARPG is the combat, what we actually "do", then the incentive to keep doing what constitutes the "A" in an ARPG is the loot that enables us to become more powerful.

This part of the game, itemization, is most certainly broken. Rares drop far too often. Affixes are far too random. Most legendaries no one ever uses, with most are fated for the salvage heap. Only a handful of affixes are desireable on any item, for any class. Items aren't unique enough for builds to be made around.

The other part of the game that is broken is where we do what we do in an ARPG. In D3 there is very little that is random in the environment. That, coupled with the high density of mobs in A3, drives everyone to be as efficient as possible when playing. Paragon levelling was a crutch to give us something to work against, but did nothing to change how we played the game.

This all has the effect of D3 being anything but a social game, with no chat lobbies and no user-named games. Outside of ubers, there's little incentive to group to achieve anything.

And then there's the whole debacle surrounding PvP.

So while the core of the game isn't broken, that being the combat, in my opinion there's been very little improvement to the quality of the game since launch. Team deathmatch. Endless dungeons. Better loot. Bettre crafting. Better UI (6+ buffs shown plz?). It's great that you're willing to wait a year for what should have been included at release. Most of use aren't that forgiving.
