It seems to be working fine for me. Yesterday when we went looking for the plans at MP7, the plans dropped for my wiz. friend but not for me. Up until that point; we both received keys in all 3 acts.
I did Act 4 again this morning in 15 minutes at power 5 and they did drop that time.

Last night a friend and I were plowing through act 1-3 getting keys at MP 7, we went into act 4 and it was not fun. Glad he found his plans because they didn't drop for me (70% means it could still fail) luckily I did it quick at MP5 this morning and he dropped the plans in a quick 10minute 5 stack.

I have a hard time believing that this game sucks or that it is dead when you have put more than 10 hours into it.
Also think about how old you were when D2 came out and how many other games have come out since then. Your expectations as well as others who played these games has changed as new products have been introduced. You can't compare D2 to D3 today when there have been clear advances in the genre and new (very popular) IP's that have been introduced.

Oct 2, 2012The only time I have problems generating fury is in a boss fight. Even then at this point until 1.0.5 I simply spam Sprint in those cases. (I think the richochet is what helps in fury generation since your initial target may not crit but the next or 3rd may)Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
The move speed ice climbers above 200str are at minimum 300M in the ah. Since I already have 12% + sprint it seemed redundant. Definitely will eventually get some with sprint in the future.
As far as the 30k dps you might have been looking at it on diabloprogress not updated.
I also do have an andy's no socket (got it for like 500k) which bumps up the damage to 85K but I haven't seen the need for it at this time (maybe when I start doing monster power 7)
With the current items that I have if I pop cooldowns the ancient spear will crit as high as 650K which is plenty for the current state of the game (lots of champs in act 3 die in 2-3 spear crits)
The amulet is something I have been questioning mainly because I didn't see the initial benefit. The LOH seems to help but it isn't that much of a boon. I also agree with Nuvian since when I picked it up I immediately started to suspect that going for the set bonus was a trap.
The crit ring is my next upgrade when 1.0.5 comes out - will need something with -4 spear cost. Maybe the bracers as well when something shows up with 6% crit and high str. I have been keeping my resists slightly above 500 and when I was on the ptr it seemed like plenty.

With those new pieces I went from 23k hp to 31k hp and the damage went from 66000 to 71000. It seems like a modest gain but I know that I gain more from breaking the set with another neck piece. The main reason why I got the amulet was to get the extra 100vit. I am thinking of simply changing that and gaining 5000 dps while losing 4000 hp.

I have a barb at 38 and I enjoy leveling it. When I start playing WD I don't want to find myself at 60 with 100PL because I did it once with the barb.
Paragon is just a bonus. It is not necessary for you to enjoy the game. The argument I am seeing is "I want the bonus but do not want to play".
Is D3 an economic tool to make the monthly rent now?

I went in to try it out with 80k dps and 6% Life steal. I knew I couldn't do it but I did figure out that I have no problems clearing power level 6-7.
The impression that I had doing MP10 is that it is for a party of 4 that is geared. Do monsters gain more HP when you have a group?
