posted a message on Scrapped D3 expansion?

That's what you all get for bitching and moaning about the Auction House just because other people were doing it. Now we all suffer with no expansion because of Blizzard's lost revenue. I've been preaching it since day one. AH was not a problem and wouldn't be a problem even now. The problem from day one was Blizzard's idiotic decision making. I remember reading about how they wanted Inferno difficulty to take TEN YEARS to gear for WITH the existence of the auction house. So they made their loot drops shit with no guaranteed stats or smart loot of any type because they wanted us to take ten years to grind for gear for Inferno NOT because the AH was there. The AH merely became a scapegoat for everything because the sheep of the public masses kept bah-ing anti-AH sentiment.

Think about it. If the AH was to come back RIGHT NOW AT THIS SECOND, what detriment would it bring? You can still find your own loot. Set pieces and legendary pieces you find will still usually be rolled to your class. But those near upgrades that the vast majority of players would do anything for but are nothing but a Forgotten Soul to you could actually be of value. You can now trade/sell/whatever those items for a tangible medium (gold? real money? either way) and use that medium to get you what you really need.

AH didn't make D3 pay to win. The lack of any other means to get items made D3 pay to win. Reliable self-farming options without a ridiculously idiotic ten year grinding goal was the solution to the problem. AH could've stayed.

posted a message on Non season players get kicked in the....AGAIN

No one cares about nonseasonal players. Your completely empty leader boards are indicative of that. Blizzard sure as hell doesn't care. Why should they? There's no demand. If you're not going to sack up and go seasonal like the rest of the player base, at least don't whine about not getting what you want for a dead mode!

That's like if I sat here and complained about lack of support for Diablo 1. Blizz I can not believe you are not releasing constant new updates for Diablo 3 vanilla. Vanilla D3 players getting kicked in the ...AGAIN.

posted a message on QuinFans ???

Look while I think Drahque comes off like a jackass as much as everyone else does, and I do enjoy Quin's stream when he's actually pushing solo grift (I find watching other people speed gr/t10 super boring and don't know why people enjoy watching that), I do agree with the base reason for this thread. When I first saw "Quin69's Season 6 Guides" on the front page tabs I thought to myself, "WTF?" Honestly, unless money was exchanged and Quin is now officially sponsored by Curse, his name should not be up there. Maybe money has been exchanged. I wouldn't know. I don't follow him that closely.

Also, I do agree that Quin's guide aren't even the best or most popular guides out there.I referenced Drahque's season 6 starter guide a lot the first day. When I look at the builds sections, I usually pick my class then sort by "Top - Month" to get the most popular, up-to-date guides. I play hardcore Barbarian, and Drahque's guides are 1-3 in that sorting. Quin's is 4.

I do agree that Quin is probably the premier Monk streamer/guide maker out there. I followed his guides exclusively when I play Monk. I follow Wudijo for DH stuff.

I do also agree that Quin hasn't finished a season in more than a year? He can complain about botters all he wants, but if he wants to prove he's the best legit player (I use that term loosely because I have no proof whether he uses THD or not, and THD is as bad as botting) he needs to push through to the end and do his best. Him getting top 1 or top 10 or whatever in the middle of the season then quitting because botters overtook him means nothing. Every season, I'm like top 10 or top 20 in grifts in the first few days of season in hardcore. It means nothing if it's not at the end of the season.

Anyway, I think Quin is pretty funny and charismatic. I appreciate that he's probably the last real full time D3 streamer (until he quits each season of course). He has tons of well made videos. But he shouldn't have his own season 6 tab.

posted a message on The meaning of TurboHUD and why it is much more than just a hack
    Quote from CheeseQuiddel»

You can clearly divide the playerbase of D3 (and quite any other game actually) into 3 categories:

    1. Players who use hacks/cheats and dont understand those who doesnt
    2. Players who doesnt use hacks/cheats and dont understand those who does
    3. Players who just dont give a f**k

While there are surely discussions about hacks and what not (i didnt looked actually) i wanted to clearify some things for me personally in terms of TurboHUD specially and let the whole world know it by chance.

The first thing i noticed is, that almost everybody is reducing TurboHUD to the maphack aspect and ignoring anything else. Players who just use TurboHUD for the maphack are plain dumb in my eyes and deserved a ban ages ago. But TurboHUD is not just that. As it states in its name, its a HUD, providing you with informations you wouldnt normally see and only get them on enormous detours.

Thats the point where we come to the very reason why TurboHUD exists anyway; because the HUD from Blizzard doesnt provide us with any useful informations at all.

We dont see Numbers in HP and Resourcebubbles. We dont see Cooldowns. We dont see %-progress in Rifts. We dont see the papersheet dps of our skills. We cant track any sort of buffs properly. We dont see how much mats we have in our stash when we are not in town etc. etc. etc. And that are just the most obvious things. If Blizzard would give us the possibility to see all that stuff in their homemade HUD; none would ever use TurboHUD. Heck, it wouldnt even exist in the first place, because there were no need to develop it.

Now we come to the ironic part. TurboHUD reads the memory of D3 and granting you the informations that it reads out of the game itself on an easy to use and understand overlay, which means that anything that TurboHUD does, is giving you access to informations you could obtain by your own (!) but on such an inconvenient way, that it would be absolutely impossible to do this between the normal game flow. You would need a calculator at least. An Excel chart would be better.

The bottom line is, that Blizzard personally forces serious gamers to use TurboHUD, because Blizzard itself obviously cant provide those informations those players need to play the game properly with their own HUD.

The maphack on the other hand is just a nice bonus. The cherry on the top, nothing else. If it wouldnt be there, none who actually understand all the other informations TurboHUD gives would complain about it. I bet that most banned players didnt even used it actively anyways.

To build a comparison with WoW; Recount and Deady Boss Mods. Same principle as TurboHUD. It reads informations out of the game and provide it to the player on a much better way than the game itself could ever do. Now 95% of all players who use recount do it only because of the dmg meter aspect and nothing else. Like TurboHUD is being reduced to just a simple maphack, Recount is being reduced to a simple dmg meter.

You can do so much more things with recount, that it really helps any proper and serious raidleader to analyse and understand the situations better, than he could it ever without that tool. The same goes for TurboHUD. While anybody only sees the obvious "hack" aspect, almost everybody who wants to play D3 serious uses TurboHUD for exactly the same reason as a raidlead in WoW uses Recount and Deadly Boss Mods.

What i am trying to say is, that TurboHUD is surely a third party tool and violates the terms of service. But on the other hand its not just a plain maphack and a "loosers h4ck3r cheat tool". Its a tool that let you play the game as it is meant to be in the first place.

Blizzard advances the problem from the wrong side in my opinion. All that energy, money and manpower that flowed into the banwaves, and still does, could used better to develop a HUD that provide that kind of informations that TurboHUD gives to the player in a Blizzard style UI. With such a thing, none would ever again see a reason in using a third party HUD and Blizzard would still attract serious and efficient players to play their game.

    Thanks for reading btw.

LOL thud is as bad as botting. cheating is cheating. use your own logic for thud on botting and youll see it "works" for that too. that word is in quotations because the logic is flawed for both.

botting simply takes what you can be doing legally in the game and does it for you. for thud, instead of guesstimating numbers in your head and/or having to mouse over stuff (map hacking aside), thud shoves it in your face. in botting, instead of you having to grind your own gear/exp/mats/keys, the third party app just does it for you. then you can spend your time doing high grs with perfectly rolled gear JUST LIKE THE GAME WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED.

instead of banning people for botting, blizzard should just implement it into the game and make it legit! right?? logic is fun.

posted a message on Will ever be PvP in this game ?

i want 2 things (not even a fleshed out pvp thing with pvp gear and balanced skills around pvp and etc!):

    1. i want all pvp damage to be reduced by 90% or 99% so people dont get one shot. across the board. no need to balance. just massive damage gimp against players. then zdps stunlock wouldnt work cuz theyd never kill you. dps wouldnt work if you get cc'ed. up to the player to figure out how to balance for themselves.

    2. let me hostile players in the open map and try to race out from town to kill them before they can tp back to town. no need for brawling. open world pvp like before.

2.5. let me collect my victims' ears.

when doing splits in pubs NEVER finish your act's bounties. ALWAYS leave one last one (preferably the boss) unfinished until the bonus rotates to that act. more often than not, there is a tard who will "accidentally" click on tyrael. sometimes you're that tard, but a tard there will be!
