If you want to do some high ML farming, I would look into buying some LS or LoH weapon now. You will have a few weeks to find a good deal, and less pressure than after the patch.

I know it's hard to predict, but wouldn't I be more likely to find good deals after the patch?

Violent supply demand shift for top tier gear means decreases in price.

So we're looking at decrease prices across the board, with the exception of low tier gear which drops out completely, and BIS legendary items which will go up in price.

Why will gold supply increase? Just GF bonus for MP levels, or are you thinking something else too?

    What are the jewelry changes?

It's pretty clear that the changes scheduled for 1.05 will have a big impact on item prices in the game.

The question is, what will that impact be? I've been trying to think through that question as I'm planning to adjust gear for farming with MP.

Barbs are losing LOH effectiveness at low and mid-tier gear levels for double tornado builds. Will we see LOH items devalued? Will LS weapons go up in value?

Monks (and Wiz?) who have focused on high dps and life regen via pickup radius and +health from globes are going to need more LOH and LS. Does that balance demand with the Barb tornado nerf?

And the biggest change: Item affixes will now be based on monster level, which will be set at 63 for all monsters at MP1. What will that do to the value of any current(old) lvl 61 and 62 items people want to sell? It'll be dirt cheap I think as people try to dump it all on the AH and upgrade post launch.

Also, more people farming lvl 63 affixed items means better quality items on the AH in general, which may devalue even the good lvl 63 stuff people have to sell currently (pre-launch).

I'm thinking I should hold off on purchasing anything for now. What do you all think? Apart from clearing out your stash, is there anything you are doing to get ready for 1.05?

Looks great. Very nice dps (especially for S& B) and great defense. Only thing I could see was the helm as you pointed out. It's pretty far behind the quality of the rest of your gear.

posted a message on Help balancing gear to farm Act 3
Hey guys. I've seen lots of great advice posts here so I'm hoping you can help me out.

I'd like to start farming Act 3, but I need to balance my stats out. My health and resists are too low, but I'm having trouble seeing a way to increase them without losing a lot of dps and/or breaking the bank. I only have about 10mil to work with atm.

Should I just keep farming Act 2, or are there things I can change around with that budget to get me going better in Act 3?

I'd like to stay around 50k dps, but bump up health to 38k+ and resists to 600+.

    Quote from Windsurfer21

I easily farm Act 3 with only 27k damage, but I found it takes 750+AR and 7k armor with 1100 LOH before things feel comfortable.

I'm not sure if you were replying to me or the OP, but I think you're right about the AR and armor (and i'd add health), but I'm not sure about 1100 LOH. You might need that much LOH because you only have 27k damage.

Unless you are trying to facetank, that seems a bit excessive. With high dps, pickup radius and +health from globes, I haven't needed any LoH even when I was just starting out in Act 2 with much lower dps.

My monk is in a similar state. I've been so focused on increasing my dps, that my resistances and health have lagged too far behind. I can comfortably farm Act 2 without issues with my current dps, but I can't farm Act 3 yet.

My budget is very low (~10mil), but I'm wondering if I can balance my gear a bit better to bring up my resists and health closer to 600 and 40k without dropping dps.

Any ideas? Here's my profile (can't post full url yet)
