The legendary drop rate is pretty high to me. I got 6 through the past weekend, although all of them are crap, nothing worth over 1 million. I found it's funny that I always find 2 hand weapons, I have got 4 sledge of athskeleng so far.
you have to have solid EHP as well as DPS to forgo loh or lifesteal. I am almost 100k dps unbuffed and I still need lifesteal since my EHP is low, without lifesteal I will dies easily to molten and range elite with hard combo.
At the end of the day, EHP governs your defense. My suggestion is has a mockup on EHP calculator before you actually change your gear especially buying gear on ah for an upgrade. Try to get the biggest bang for your buck.
It works like it does on ebay, and what you describe must either be a bug or a typo (forgot a zero maybe?).
Say there is an item with a bid of 2000
min bid is 2100
if you bid 5000 the bid on the item will go to 2100, and if someone else bids on it you will automatically outbid him/her until your own max bid is reached
Now it is possible that the item shows a bid of 2000, but actually has a max bid of 10000. Then if you bid 5000 you will get a message that you didn't manage to overbid, but the current bid on the item should go up to 5250.
That's exactly how bidding works. I suggest you check out moldran's video on how to ah snipe if haven't already done so. And I believe your case is most likely typo.
get a higher dps slow main hand with crit dmg and socket, as high as you can afford, dex does not matter much here.

I am bit like you, I am at the point where I don't need much resist, I have like 450, so I started to drop it a bit and get more DPS, same for life on hit, if you kill things real fast and get some health globe bonus (I have 7k bonus + 6 yard pickup), the LoH is almost pointless.
My next upgrade will be weapon, but I don't know wich way to go, I am still wondering if won khim lau would be a good off hand.

Very impressive dps. I definitely think you need to replace the "Awful Breaker" with a higher DPS slow weapon for better sweeping wind dmg.
