The reason to re-roll a socket is because currently CHD contribute to a lot of the damage, and having 130% CHD from 1 socket is huge. Ideally you would want (high weapon dmg, %dmg/speed, main stat, socket) from any weapon.

Secondly, the % damage on weapon is currently bugged, it will only work if the weapon damage is black, but Blizzard has previously stated that they are working on a fix and it 'ought' to be retrospective. Hope this helps.

There has been plenty of debate on whether it's best to go 2h or dw, and it's pretty much down to personal choice.

I went dw since day one, and cleared inferno pre 1.03 without nat legacy 4pc and of course without my current dps. While I do agree some abilities are made for slow 2h weapon, I went dw for several reasons.

1). The superior hatred regen means you are able to use your skills sooner, it makes me feel there's less down time or time spamming hungering arrow etc.

2). The quicker shot animation also means I can effectively move a lot quicker and kite easier.

3). Some DH likes loh and dw is the best choice with its superior speed :)

4). DW is just so cool :D

5). 1h xbow has a lot of potential, if you have the perfect roll you could have 10disc, 200+dex, socket and crit damage and maybe even hatred regen.

Those are just a few points to note, and no matter which weapon choice you took, once you got pass certain dps it's the same anyway. The only slight annoying thing I have with dw is sometimes you hit like wet towel due to the lower base damage of the weapon. Other than that, I believe it offers a smoother game play over other 2h xbow. Imho dw is designed for a bit more kiting with its better mobility.

And regarding your comment about spamable skills, you could give the Infinite Multishot Build a go, http://www.diablofans.com/topic/69821-infinite-multishot-build/ I use that with dw.

    Best of luck farming~

Before looking into your gear, I would highly recommend you to drop Vengeance and Night Stalker in favour of Archery and Steady Aim, both of which will boost your dps significantly, with your current crit chance, Night Stalker isn't that effective, and imo Vengeance is a waste.

Secondly, I would consider dropping either Multi-shot or Ball Lightning, they both serve one purpose, AOE damage, so I think one is sufficient, you can instead substitute in traps, cluster arrow, ss, bat depending on your playstyle.

Gear wise, I don't know much about the US market at the moment, but one thing I would suggest changing is your chest and replace one with 10disc if possible, that will help a ton :) And try to find some crit in your gear especially when you don't run with Sharpshooter.

    Have fun farming~

    Just some noob passing through:
Isn't playing with a crossbow with natural low atk spd irritating? Cuz that's one of the reasons why i'm not buying a crossbow
    (using a bow atm)

(Ow and one more thing, is it smart to invest in high crit dmg when your crt chance is still low?)

That's pretty much a personal choice, 2h xbow packs the most punch so to speak, but obviously with a very slow attack speed, whereas I use 2x 1h xbow for faster attack, better hatred regen, and given enough critical damage, you will see some very pretty numbers :>

Actually got a new chest with 10disc, I just need to relog to update my profile :P

I use the nat for the 4pc bonus more than anything, couldn't care about the bonus, prior to that, I was using a lvl59 chest with 124dex, 125vit, 10disc, 110 life regen, and 3 sockets which served me well :>

But ye, you most certainly don't need nat chest, certainly hard with your current budget, but I am a big fan of discipline, I believe it offers a bigger margin of error and flexibility in game play :)

It's not a bad idea to have some resist, say ~2-300, but one thing at a time.
I would stick a better gem in your weapon too btw, 70% crit gems are relatively cheap to make and every bit helps.

Even if you can squeeze 7% as on your ring you will notice the difference immediately.

    Best of luck farming :>

I would change your int ring :P and chest with a more balance stats. Technically loh isn't as desirable on 2h xbow because of the slow speed, but since you obviously like it a lot, I would suggest at least getting some attack speed on your items, e.g. rings.

Quite interested in why did you take both rapid fire and ball lightning, both abilities seem to overlap each other a bit, if you want a big damage hatred spender I would suggest cluster arrow with loaded for bear instead.

    Have fun farming :>

You will run out of hatred with Ball Lightning or Chakram, but you will definitely not with this build. Furthermore, once you get used to it it actually offers a very fast pace play style. The problem I have with bl or chakram is you have to remain stationary most of the time :D

And I came up with this build because I was so damn bored of spamming hungering arrow/cluster arrow, just need a change of pace sometimes ;)

I think the calculation in pvp will be different, taking into account of armor/resist/dodge etc, there are several ways round it, nerfing the damage in arena by X% or increasing the health pool by X% etc, but I guess we will have to wait and see...

Personally I don't want to run into barb with 300k+ dps and 1k resist and all the armor etc... xD

    Sharpshooter..'nuff said

if you dont believe that SS is calculated in there, check my DH (http://eu.battle.net...66/hero/6379556) and then tell me if she can have 112k dps with that gear

    Err... no?
Even without ss he will be over 200k dps, I have 158k dps without ss, and 282k with...

But back to the topic, I think the top DH world has like 300k dps without SS, some of these profiles are just sick :P

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/janz7777-1521/hero/22240093

This guy has the sickest profile imo, while some korean DH players have higher dps, this guy has 70k hp, 50disc, 678k dps with ss, (~283k w/o)

I pretty much use hungering arrow for single target dps, multi shot with any builds fail in single target dps anyway :P but this will offer an alternative play style and can be faster pending on your gear etc :)

As title, so I was bored of A3 farming and decide to play around with specs. Most likely not the first who thought of the idea, but nonetheless decide to share it :)

This build as stated revolves around using the following skills:-

    Multishot - Suppression Fire rune,
    Preparation - Punishment rune,
    Night Stalker Passive

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#aQdgVS!XYe!YbcYZZ

This was the build I ran with, by utilizing the no cool down on punishment rune and restoring all hatred, you can effectively spam multi shot forever, since you gain discipline just as fast with Suppression Fire and Night Stalker!

Do bear in mind I ran with 4pc legacy nat which will no doubt help, but I honestly feel I was gaining discipline so fast that even without it wouldn't be an issue. And obviously for Night Stalker to be effective you have to have certain amount of crit chance :>

    Have fun farming :>

But interesting build nonetheless, you pretty much have to have the chest that reduce chakram cost to make it work tho.
