The reason I want to play the beta is to get first hand experience of the game.
I would like to get a chance to try out the classes and decide what class I want to play when the game first releases. Tho I have seen some footage of the beta already, I'd say its something very different to play it yourselfs. And ofc, I've been a fan of the earlier Diablo games, so I have really been looking forward to Diablo 3 since it was first announced.
