1. Noone will care about MFswapping or not since Elites won't regen anymore.
2. I'm pretty sure the 500 counter can be botted.
3. BoE - people will not spend much on things they cannot later resell...leading to only the best legendary rolls being even in the economy.
These have already been discussed above, just condensin'
Most important surival tip for monks or melees in general: use shift button and be aware of your positioning all the time. Having similar or higher defensive values won't help if you just eat 'everything' avoidable on accident. There are times when you want to do that on purpose but common sense should teach you do "don't stand in shit" as a general rule.
There should be no problem with plagued or desecrator, maybe some issues with fire chains and molten due to how the mob ai works - but if you have an escape route that's regulary dealable. Vortex + anything fancy can screw you up, that's what your defensive cooldowns are for. And for arcane beams: step away from their spawns, simple as that. I hardly doubt your wizard loves eating damage from it.
Also at the moment Blinding Flash is way gimp vs anything dangerous - faith in the light will be nice in 1.04 for 2h SSS builds but 3 seconds is useless when you don't do spike damage.
Uhm, just use blind and breath of heaven before activating sweeping wing - that's a permanent 45% buff to your main damaging ability since it snapshots your stats on the cast. That's why everyone is using blind, but it's interrupt comes handy in times as well for sure.
Thanks for point this out, but for his gear level SW is only to augment the already very decent FoT. The only time that SW starts to take over is when Crit change and Crit Damage is high enough so that the unbalanced LoH coefficient on thunderclap (which procs the 20%x3sec weapon damage) starts to feel like exploiting. But I guess everyone is taking advantage of FoT while they can heh....
My friend, I am pretty sure "clearing inferno" is not the goal of diablo.
Today's gaming generation simply has a heightened sense of entitlement - you believe given a certain amount of effort you DESERVE to have certain gear, certain rating, certain "achievements". WoW offers that to an increasing degree - and also likely your dayjob (although to some WoW and dayjob is a blurred definition). If that's what you think makes a good game, then Diablo ain't for you.
Diablo is all about the random excitement of something random dropping. It's like buying the lottery without the financial risk (apart from your time being spent). It might not be quite up there in randomness and adrenaline as, for example, EVE pvp, but it's its own cup of tea.
But again, this is from someone who got a kick of out pressing "Reroll" in Baldur's Gate for upwards of 3 hours before landing in Candlekeep hurr...
Ah simple...Resist All way too low...aim for 1k total resists with OWE,
Also at the moment Blinding Flash is way gimp vs anything dangerous - faith in the light will be nice in 1.04 for 2h SSS builds but 3 seconds is useless when you don't do spike damage.
For mobility try Dashing Strike
or Lashing Tail (Sweeping armada), it punts them really far allowing a nice split
or even Deadly reach Foresight (or the armor one if it helps you), because deadly reach actually allows you to kite and fight without touching molten, or FoTing into 5 arcane beams.
Without posting your build we cannot make any recommendations for you except the following general comments:
Monk has to facetank while Wiz doesn't (not always), this means Monk needs more mitigation.
Your wiz probably has escape tools.
Serenity is not an escape tool, if you get surrounded you still will die because you are a monk you do not instagib. Serenity is an offense tool to dps through certain situations.
This leaves you with picking certain things such as:
Deadly reach (as a safer kiting secondary to FoT)
or Dashing Strike
or LtK knockback rune
or BoH fear
or Mystic ally earth ally
Until you can sustain a battle vs elites, get more mitigation or tools or skills.
Since we are so entranced by this word "death", could it be, then, that, those 9 million people rank amongst the most brainDEAD in the developed world?
Cheers, I think there is a 1 second delay between the main picture and the PIP with the plugin I use in WMM for the PIP, I'm trying to smooch Premier off work for future videos. The audio "should" be synced with the main picture but with WMM who knows :<
You may have seen the multiboxers in MMOs, You may have seen the quadriple monk or the triple wizard, You may have not liked them, because they are really playing the same character with 4x the power and 4x the loot. All the more power to them - after all they have invested a lot of time and money to play the way they do, and how they do it is their business. You may believe that even if Blizzard does not have active policy on those kinds of players, they give multiboxing a bad name. This is for you.

3.1 - Promoting Build Diversity There are some builds which are difficult to use solo, either because they lack the survival skills, or because the DPS skills lack the versatility to deal with all elite combinations. Here are some examples of combinations which I really enjoy using:
(Update 8/20: Going up to 4 characters means there are so many more options...will post something in 1.0.4!)
The first barb is a sprinter with one thing missing - War Cry, which the second barb covers. Many sprinters are also limited in their ability to chase act 3 ranged elites, because neither sprint nor WW work. Of course, a sprint build can be done without using WW, but WW is just amazing mobility. Bash is for non-awkward rage generation and superior WotB upkeep compared to Frenzy when chasing. My rune for Battle Rage is based on using a Mighty Weapon...of course using Axes will keep WOTB up even better. And of course, when you are spinning your way through 3 elite packs at a time, Crushing Advance is too good to pass up.
The second barb applies debuffs, carries magic find, and has two %life heals to distract even the deadliest of elites. Mob Rule is handy in allowing sprinter to spin up to speed.
What happens when you combine the biggest burst potential (arguable) in the game, with the biggest % damage increase skill? Explosions.
Here the demon hunter uses a Grenadier/Sharpshooter build, because with Conviction's 48% already, Steady Aim is no longer as attractive. Grenadier allows for a Long Fuse, Long Fuse, wait 0.3, LfB LfB combo. Conviction is popped right before the first LfB lands. Grenadier allows for cheaper trash clearing with LfB. And grenadier also allows for faster Hatred Regen while walking away and throwing Tinkerer into empty space.
The Monk's main role is cyclone strike and conviction (and carrying MF+tanking). The rest is up to personal preference. Note that Pacifism is used instead of STI because the monk does not have any dex, and Pacifism suits the non-perfect left-handed play very well.
3.2 - Cost Let's face it, Blizzard designed the item system with one thing in mind...longetivity of the item market. The triangle of MF, Survivability and DPS becomes very expensive to obtain when you seek all 3 stats. Even seeking high stats in two of those departments gets costly.
The way I set up my characters allows me to get away with making glass cannons, building cheaper MF, making 3k LoH tanks, etc, in a cost effective way.
Your buddies may not be willing to do non-existent DPS, but my Left Hand has no qualms about that!
3.3 - Misc Easier Traversing (Especially with one Barb chilling in town while the sprinter scouts), Quick Piggy-back (even if both die)...oh...I forgot to mention double the drops (tho I'm pretty sure one character can farm faster than I can...but can you farm twice as fast? Doubtful)
4 - Disadvantages - Hard elites in act3-4 are even harder with 2x HP...if you want to zerg them at respawn.
- Repair costs when playing badly.
- No Companions.
5. What you need: - 2 Physical Computers - 2 Mice - Reasonable Ambidexterity - A Sense of Peripheral Vision - Practice

So I've made an account, set up a home cam and FRAPS, and am learning the ropes of video editing.
My debut will occur some time this week.
It will either blow your mind, or I will be shot down in flames...my money's on the second scenario.
I've thrown the gauntlet, now off I go to deliver....o wait server maintenance
