At this point is just too convenient to invest a small amount of money to buy gold and gear up a char to lvl up in high mp10 than playing the game, if you are not a masochist (as me).
If Blizzard wants to keep raising the gold stack for RMAH, they will just go down a neverending spiral because third party sites will always have the cheapest gold and Diablo 3 just keep pumping this currency without limits, inflating the economy without stop.
Some time ago i would never said this but i really wish we would had a Ladder reset every few months to keep the economy from collapsing or implement some BoA system to avoid oversaturation of items on the AH, maybe tied to some sort of enchant npc (mystic) that will empower your items but make them untradable.
I know i will sound like a hater, but i just need to vent some rage at Blizzard: "Good job idiots, you didn't foresaw gold inflation and botter competition after a month of the game lifespan! Just keep making gold cheaper on the RMAH, it will fix the problem!"
I really hope next patch and expansion will make these problems worthless...
At this point, if i ever feel like playing this game before "Loot 2.0" i will just stay in HC.

May 7, 2013Seifa posted a message on 1.0.8 Official Patch NotesPosted in: NewsQuote from Serpenth
I know it's hard to believe but they can't do it all in one day. There will be no miracle patch. It's piece by piece as it has been for the last year and the game has improved greatly.
Actually I'm not even sure this is a serious post, these notes have been around for weeks, even a month.
And there were more pressing matters from retail than these "minor" quality of life changes. They had to rebalance Inferno to make it playable for the majority of players without using cheesy tactics (grave ressing, perma smoke screen and others), improve legendary items, crafting and PvP (which got screwed quite bad in my opinion).
I agree Blizzard is taking very cautious steps, even too much for my taste, but i'm quite happy that they are still working on this game to make it more enjoyable every time. -

Apr 2, 2013Seifa posted a message on Developer Journal: Multiplayer ImprovementsFilter for multiplayer games is a really good thing, I hated when i joined random parties and found out it was a PvP game, quite annoying and i abandoned co-op games quite fast. While most (read: all) of my friends stopped playing D3, it's boring killing monsters alone. Hopefully the new matchmaking and tweaks on co-op will make playing in group better.Posted in: News

Mar 5, 2013Seifa posted a message on Developer Journal: Itemization UpdateThe best thing i read is the new Legendary system. It's a shame that all those low lvl Legendaries don't get much love (rephrase, they don't get it at all). If Inferno drops all orange (brown? w/e) items scaled to max lvl, it gives some good diversity.Posted in: News

Dec 27, 2012Seifa posted a message on The PVP Blog Is HereI don't care about PvP, but this blog was quite bad. After 7 months of hyping some form of PvP, they just gave up and went back to the basic formula... duels.Posted in: News
It feels like they want to give a cookie to the PvP crowd so they won't yell about its lacking anymore.... I would be disappointed too if i wanted what they promised months ago....
Meh.... it's a low blow in my opinion, really low. -
Aug 22, 2012Seifa posted a message on A Message From JayI think Jay is a real sensible person. After working hard on Diablo 3, he and his team has been swarmed by harsh criticism (valid or not it's not my point). They started working hard to deliver 1.0.3, and it didn't stop. Just a few days before the release of 1.0.4, Brevik did that interview and i think Jay couldn't take it anymore and vented some frustration.Posted in: News
Was it a good decision? Ofc not. Is it justifiable? I don't think so. He made a huge mistake as a human, and he will probably pay the price for a while. I feel sorry for him... -

One thing i would like to say is: don't get paranoid over a Blue response, i'm confident they've read your thread and the feedback is noted (or at least this is what i believe since WoW).

Oh well, i got my pet and i'm happy XD

Yeah, and i got it right now! Yay!

The SC economy is kinda screwed now, and we don't have a good recycle system to remove items from the game. Now it's easier to gear up with few dollars, as the OP's friend did, than progress by playing the game since the saturation and inflation is over the top now.... but i can't think about a good solution that doesn't require a complete forced reset of the economy

I never liked the idea to restart a character to have access to the ladder and have access to every items in the game (some Runewords and Uniques were really good). But we have no idea if Blizzard will use a similar system in D3 in the future, so this is just pointless brainstorming, but if they ever put a no AH mode, after a needed itemization overhaul, i think i'll gladly restart a new Demon Hunter.

I know, it's annoying to see other players or even close friends pulling out the credit card or economic skills to gain high end gear fast, way faster than you get while playing the actual game, but if you like killing monsters, just do it.
Playing HC is a good way to escape this AH madness, but i understand if you don't like it or you can't stand losing your character (i lost mine on March, and i didn't start a new HC character yet.... the trauma is too much).
Well, i did another messy post, without really saying anything.... sooooo... I can only say: "Play the game for your own enjoyment, fuck the other!" or take a little break <.<

Or if they do they are:
A) Actual progamers playing competitive games in tournaments with cash prizes and sponshorship (and they are still a huge minority)
B ) Chinese farmers

Now my hope is that Blizzard will be a bit more zelous with quality check for the AH. <.<

Now, i have my doubts one single guy could have made the difference in this case, there were thousands of dupers that day and one single mail could have warned Blizzard a bit earlier, but the damage was already done. In my romantic world, every one that had discovered the bug, should had sent an e-mail and stop. But this is an utopia.
I'm happy someone isn't blaming Blizzard for the bug (at least, not 100%), i can already see dupers screaming with their fists up the air: "OMG, Blizzard left a bug in the game! It's not our fault we abused it for greed and profit!!!!!! FUCK BLIZZARD!!!!!!111!!11!".
It's always stated that game breaking bugs are to be reported and it's not excusable to not do so and abuse it.
If you see a door open because the owner forgot it, you don't enter his house and rob him. Yeah, it's the owner's fault to have left the door open, but the police won't care: you are the robber.
I don't think the OP will get much sympathy, but i'm glad someone has a coscience and confessed his "crime".
