Yep, it is. That's one of the things you ask yourself: "Why the **** Blizzard didn't keep all those good quality of life features from Diablo 2 at release?" I don't think no one can aswer that, but i think what happened: a brain fart from the dev team!

(Warning: my comment is not intented to be disrespectful towards Blizzard or its devs, i'm just joking)

Well, you have my support, of course. It's pretty annoying seeing my character running away from the fight because i miss clicked an item on the ground while i stutter, kite, whaver i am doing at the moment.

One thing i would like to say is: don't get paranoid over a Blue response, i'm confident they've read your thread and the feedback is noted (or at least this is what i believe since WoW).

Well, i tried farming another one just to sell and for the lulz, but i expected that i wasn't the only one to do so and the market is already saturated. Nothing surprising here :P

Oh well, i got my pet and i'm happy XD

I didn't know the existance of this amulet.... and i went to farm it. I'm a sucker for collectable pets and these days i'm kinda bored of Diablo, so i couldn't resist getting it :S

Yeah, and i got it right now! Yay!

I trust your word Stephen. I'm pretty naive as a gamer and i never found interest in economics in my rpg games, i always farmed my currency like a chinese (i find it really relaxing), but i know there are people that have passion for it and manipulate the ingame economy to gain the better profit and others that use real life money to buy gold, gil, zeny or whatever the currecy of the game is.

The SC economy is kinda screwed now, and we don't have a good recycle system to remove items from the game. Now it's easier to gear up with few dollars, as the OP's friend did, than progress by playing the game since the saturation and inflation is over the top now.... but i can't think about a good solution that doesn't require a complete forced reset of the economy :S

I'm still not sold to a Ladder system. I know that D2 needed it cause of dupes, and a fresh start every 6-10 months is a good way to keep the economy stable, but it's an artificial way to keep replayability, in my opinion.
I never liked the idea to restart a character to have access to the ladder and have access to every items in the game (some Runewords and Uniques were really good). But we have no idea if Blizzard will use a similar system in D3 in the future, so this is just pointless brainstorming, but if they ever put a no AH mode, after a needed itemization overhaul, i think i'll gladly restart a new Demon Hunter.

I understand your feelings, but as ruksak said, and he said the same to me some time ago while i was ranting against AH flippers and the whole game economy, you really shouldn't let other people's actions influence your view on this game (and other matters).
I know, it's annoying to see other players or even close friends pulling out the credit card or economic skills to gain high end gear fast, way faster than you get while playing the actual game, but if you like killing monsters, just do it.
Playing HC is a good way to escape this AH madness, but i understand if you don't like it or you can't stand losing your character (i lost mine on March, and i didn't start a new HC character yet.... the trauma is too much).

Well, i did another messy post, without really saying anything.... sooooo... I can only say: "Play the game for your own enjoyment, fuck the other!" or take a little break <.<

The problem....is you. Most people don't play games for income.

Or if they do they are:
    A) Actual progamers playing competitive games in tournaments with cash prizes and sponshorship (and they are still a huge minority)
    B ) Chinese farmers :P

And that's what i think it's wrong with some players in Diablo 3. You basically played a game you don't like for 1600 hours with dollar signs on your eyes hoping to hit the jackpot. That's pretty sad in my opinion.

It was a good read and i can only imagine the nightmare it was to check those suspicious transactions. At least legit players weren't hurt by a rollback and cheaters got the punishment.
Now my hope is that Blizzard will be a bit more zelous with quality check for the AH. <.<

I experienced a bit more of rubber band while using Vault on my DH to get out of multiple arcane beams and other bad things when i tank elites. Like everyone else, it didn't happen that much before 1.0.8.

I don't think i can hate the guy for his confession, but this is just a picture of the mentality of players that will do anything to gain profit or advantages. I saw exploiters in every game, i cheated too in other games while i was young and got my ban. From then, i never touched a hack, because i learnt my lesson.

Now, i have my doubts one single guy could have made the difference in this case, there were thousands of dupers that day and one single mail could have warned Blizzard a bit earlier, but the damage was already done. In my romantic world, every one that had discovered the bug, should had sent an e-mail and stop. But this is an utopia.

I'm happy someone isn't blaming Blizzard for the bug (at least, not 100%), i can already see dupers screaming with their fists up the air: "OMG, Blizzard left a bug in the game! It's not our fault we abused it for greed and profit!!!!!! FUCK BLIZZARD!!!!!!111!!11!".
It's always stated that game breaking bugs are to be reported and it's not excusable to not do so and abuse it.
If you see a door open because the owner forgot it, you don't enter his house and rob him. Yeah, it's the owner's fault to have left the door open, but the police won't care: you are the robber.

I don't think the OP will get much sympathy, but i'm glad someone has a coscience and confessed his "crime".
