Shaggy nailed it. As a Demon Hunter i'm annoyed as hell that the only viable builds for high Torment are variations of Marauder 6. No other set or legendary combination come close to the power of this setup.... which is a shame since they buffed a bunch of other spells but we all know that as soon as you get the full set you will use it because the other items are trash compared to it.

Ehi, at least i'll have a clean start soon and i can mess around a lot with my full skillset...

    Quote from Zohaib
Trading was an integral part to diablo,
This is debatable, because the first thing i think when i say Diablo is slaying monsters in a dungeon for loot and character progression.

posted a message on Why do people defend BOA?
This poor horse..... or goo. It has been beat so hard by this topic that it is no longer an equine.

I said so many times that BoA is an over reaction from Blizzard to shut down third party sites and scammers and there should be some sorta of limited trading between friends and clan but in the end i got a better gaming experience because drop rates are balanced around playing the game and not lurking on forum or spamming in trade chat.

What we had with the AH was a terrible experience because drop rates were balanced around free trading and we spent hours (if not days) to find something remotely usefull, probably to sell and grab another item. If you were lucky, you were set forever, you jumped to MP10 and you where done with the game. If you were smart, you flipped the crap out of the AH and you didn't even need to play the game. If you started playing from release, you gained enough gold to buy gear in an inflated economy and you were in MP10. If you had more money than common sense, you bought gold and you were done.

I think Blizzard's stance is pretty clear, they are removing Trading Forums from their board too, so don't hold your breath for some sorta of 180° (AGAIN).

Perfect rule for video threads. Too often i don't have the time or the will to watch a 15-20min video of a build or a discussion so i have no idea what the thread is talking about.

posted a message on 2.1 Preview - All changes to Legendary Items
I noticed that Sash of Knives doesn't roll Fan of Knives damage anymore.... i'm pretty sad to read that. I'm a fan of niche builds... even if i have M6 and i always play with that set because... only viable build in T6.

(And double post on the same thread, gotta farm that counter)

You linked the wrong image for Marauder's Treads. It shows Marauder's Gloves and Natalya's Bloody Footprints.

posted a message on [Suggestions] On the Philosophy of Farming
If Campaign Mode was so horribly linear i wouldn't mind if it was viable for farming, but since we are stuck with quests that have to be done in order, paths blocked until you complete each step and Azmodan "Master Tactician" and Diablo "Lord of Terrah" taunting you every 5 minutes, i'm glad i don't have to replay it in season.

I agree on your opinion about Rifts and Bounties, the former is waaaay too efficient and they screwed it. The free world we have has become useless and we are just playing inside our town to open the portal and enjoy a disproportionate drop rate compared to what's outside of the Rift bubble.

Then, when someone is in need of keystone (does it ever happen?) he will jump on Act 1 normal, because OP RING OF OPNESS drops only there. Your "I'm completely fed up with Act 1 bounties!" quote nailed this game mode perfectly.

Live Ubers are a joke, i have no idea why me and a friend tried to craft the Hellfire ring, but looking for Wardens and killing Bosses was a huge waste of time because the loot rewards outside rifts are too low. At least they will have something usefull to craft next patch, and i'm happy about it.

As you, shaggy, i wish that every mode has an equal reward system, because if i ever try to step out of Rifts of Act 1 Bounties i feel like an idiot, because going out of bounds makes me feel i'm doing it wrong.

posted a message on [PTR] Seasonal New Legendaries
Yeah, so many players wanted to seasons for competition and a fresh start.... oh wait, as expected they wanted new stuff to loot. Surely some of the new legendaries are on the meh side and should be looked, but expecting stuff like Marauder, Earthquake was delusional.

Blizzard is trying to not force anyone into season if they don't want to, smartly, and they can't put overpowered stuff there. As said above, they don't want nomal players to be left in the dirt.

Kudos to Rantallion for his thoughts, he nailed the situation perfectly. I'm just glad i will be able to have a fresh start once in a while to play with friends soon, as i always did with Diablo 2.

posted a message on Best Patch ever?
I didn't play 2.1 on PTR, but i think this is shaping to be the best patch, yet. They are adding ladders and greater rifts, but i'm more pleased that they are working to fix some gameplay issues, like dex being terrible for defence, 2 handed weapons being horrible and adding some legendary affixes to glorified rares... or at least make them a 5/2 to be a bit more appealing and giving all weapons a "free" socket.

Sure, we still have other issues like boring gems... but seeing how things are shaping up, feedback is being used and the game is going in a good direction.

posted a message on Is gems the only "season" only item?
    Quote from shaggy

More and more people seem to be defining how "good" they are at something by how many hours they devote to it. I guess this is the age of streamer mentality huh?
I know we are in OT territory now, but i think that in general if you devote more hours into something, you will get better.... but leveling faster isn't a display of skill, expecially during this "pre-season" where we saw afk exp farming and ghom botting. at least the former has been fixed, but i bet we will see a new experience farm exploit.

But as i saw recently, everything should be an esport and if you aren't flexing your e-peen hard enough, you are playing wrong and you are a scrub.

As i always said, i see season as a way to hard reset my progress and start from scratch, which i always found fun to do in Diablo 2 once every 4-6 months, but i'm aware to not being able to compete in the leveling race because i have other games to play....

What's up with the derogatory terms for modes you don't consider pro enough? I've seen it quite often lately.... Jeez, can't other people have different gameplay without being labeled as noobs and scrubs?

By the way, as other said, there will be new Legendary items each season that will be dropped on normal as soon the new ladder will begin, so players not partecipating will get the new stuff too.... with a bit of delay.

I'm a boring guy that sticks with the same class for ages. Until the recent buffs to Demon Hunter i would have switched to Crusader for the HC season but i changed my mind and i'll stick with the archer.

posted a message on low level paragons joining t6 games!!!..
This reminds me of people complaining about solo queues in LoL but doing nothing to play with other people they know and have sinergy with. I had people in D3V adding me after a successful MP10 farm run and i played with them again (and that's a miracle because i'm mostly a solo player. Hi clan, i'm still alive). I think the problem lies that co-op is waaaaay easier than solo to farm efficiently, so players left alone feel compelled to join pub games and try their luck to gain more experience and loot... and like in every game, random pub are a mess, but i won't blame the system but the fact that some players want to be carried hard and that ruins the experience for the rest of the group. At least we have vote to kick....
