posted a message on A little Heart to Heart about RoS...

I agree with all of the MVPs concerns. They've put a really nice feedback on these matters. It is becoming really obvious that Blizzard are working on means to make Vanilla obsolete, so that people buy the expansion. They have really few new features to offer and that's the only way to justify the price of RoS. The first thing that got my attention since they've announced F&F Beta and Vanilla 2.0.1 features was that Adventure mode, bounties and rifts were expansion exclusive. Why? They've said it numerous times in the past that these features were inspired by community feedback, and will come in as a free patch. The post is still on tweeter if I am not wrong. So why make them exclusive? Because they want Vanilla to get obsolete, so that they get more money. This was enough for me to be pessimistic of how RoS will turn out, it really gave out that they didn't have enough features to justify the price of the expansion.

posted a message on Trying to think of a PVP method that would work due to the balance issues

Where exactly is the player vs player interaction? You still are killing monsters, and the only factor is how fast you kill them. I know that it is ARPG, but I do not see this as a fun PvP feature. It is like a time trial, there should be some kind of interaction, a way that you can make it difficult for the opponent to succeed. This is really boring. A good way is to make some kind of map objectives that are guarded from your opponents elite monsters, and these lets say capture points gives you points over time like (AB in WOW). The opponent this way can try and defend side by side with these elite monsters. Since it would be uneven if you have to kill monsters and the enemy, there could be some waves of mobs that are attacking these points(like DOTA, LoL). The other mode can be CTF, and there could be some kind of teleports that can be opened by killing some kind of a boss. With these portals you could carry the flag more effective, or lets say if the player carrying the flag uses the teleport, the flag drops at the other end and has to be carried by someone else from your team, this can bring some strategical aspect to the game etc.

posted a message on "Vanilla" Difficulty and Loot 2.0 discussion (Diablo Digest)

You've made good points and your concerns about some features are justified. I do not understand though why aren't we voicing these concerns to Blizzard? Do you open such threads on official forums? It is nice that we discuss them here, but if Blizzard is willing to listen and change things, why don't we tell them directly about this? I know they are following these forums, but there are more people on official forums than here that could share their opinion on the matter as well. Limiting difficulty for Vanilla is a really bizarre choice and has no logic in it. They are restricting a lot of things just to force people into buying the expansion. Do you like Blizzard being like this? I am one of the people that wouldn't hurry and buy the expansion. I haven't played vanilla that much anyways because I was waiting for these changes(specifically loot 2.0) so that I can enjoy the game more. Why do they have to take away stuff, so that it gets boring for me and I have nothing to do but buy the expansion?

In vanilla rare unid items didn't roll according to the MF you had atm of identifying them, they rolled according to how much was your MF at picking them. So you couldn't get a 6 affix items when they dropped on 0 MF, because you identified them with 300. I think same logic applies for bags.

@istzod Apologies I was mainly referencing some points Dead made about 3rd world countries, I thought you had agreed that 3rd world countries could and should benefit from a RMAH type game.
Never said that. I just said what my observations were on this. I do not support the idea of AH in this game at all.

People in 3rd world countries could do really good money from this. You can make more money in a month than the average wage, so yeah some people think that this should be in. And people who I know, who did this, didn't play the game for fun, had no idea what diablo is all about(they kinda disliked grinding, when it's the main idea of such game), and only did it cus of the money. They did not even like D3, well it was kinda disappointment anyways.

All true. And Blizzard did what they thought to be best solution, knowing they can't change human behaviour, so they offered safe heaven for sellers and buyers along. If there is potential money to be made, then it will be made, especially in those countries that average one dollar for hour wages.

So what you're saying is ruin the fun, and let people in africa... you know what never mind. I'm not even going to respond to your statement other than to say you have exceeded every level of stupid on my stupid-meter and have ventured into absolutely-mentally-challenged-and-significantly-more-retarded-than-a-down-syndrome-child-on-meth territory. Please bring your stupid elsewhere.
In my opinion, there shouldn't have been a RMAH in the first place.

So are legendary items build changers only on the expansion or do they have these affixes on the vanilla as well? Are they actually the loot 2.0 items, or only new legendary items in RoS will have these abilities?

posted a message on New PvP concept mode: Summon Elites
I really don't find it as a fun idea, plus if it were implemented like that, people will tend to use only one elite affixes combo, which is overwhelming the other options.
