How about we put some thought into the actually economy of this country. You'll see the same crap happens on a daily in real life. If you don't like diablo 3 economy and are just hunky doory with how people handle 'real' money then maybe talking about the AH is something you should stay away from.

I believe I'm at 30k dmg/dps and 35k HP with roughly 4-5RA. I can't get myself to jump on the life on hit bandwagon. Maybe I'll look into it as I get my RA up. I do just fine in Act 2 but man I got handed my face in Act III because my RA came really into play.

really? i have 30k dmg/dps and still feel weak at times with my low AR. it makes up for it at times, but those crazy packs still cause problems.

I do see where this guy is getting at. He does have a point. But at what point do you draw the line? It's ok to figure it out by writing done and searching the AH for two hours for the best deal to stats or you can have a script that does it for you in 1 second.

Is it the time frame at which you can obtain it? The time spent farming X amount of gold remains the same. Is it that a program automated something? Is it because someone posted an item well below the sell value? This will stay the same without a script being ran.

So where exactly is the break for you, running a program in the background while it is reading you game data regardless of any function it maybe doing?

For some reason I wrote down this for stats to do Act 2 on my bard.

10k Armor (which I don't have, I think I have around 7-8k)
25k DMG/DPS
5-700 Resist All (not sure on the exact amount, so I made a 200 window)
30k HP


I got all this minus the 10k, and 6-7k plus HP and do just fine in Act 2 by myself. I wouldn't gauge your gear in a group because you just maybe carrying dead weight.

It seems to me you're lacking a decent about of resist all and short on your dmg/dps (low Str).

And it was my impression that the fans asked for harder. I guess their definition of harder was more farming. Trust me, I don't think farming to get an item makes content hard. Hard content is looking at the ground, watching cast animations, etc.

I get and see that gear was weighted differently in d2. but the idea of having subpar gear that would get you through the content seems, half ass to me as far as a design element. I do this with WoW in having crap ilvl item in my bag that tells the system I have X when I'm really using Y. Obviously in WoW it doesn't help you. I don't think it should in D3 either. Something about the idea of not so good gear allowing you to still clear content seems backwards to me.

Or am I looking at this wrong. I'm all ears for other ways/facts/etc.

I was kinda thrown off and pretty pissed off when I allowed this to hinder the enjoyment I got from playing the game and not actually think about what someone else my perceive to be a waste of time or just not worth it at all. I like farming my way even if it's not efficient.

I hate the AH at times when I think about only because I hate the idea of controlling a market. But it seems like a better option than figuring out all the 'best' sites to trade, putting people on REAL ID, etc. You know the process. I don't like RMAH because I hear all the good stuff is on there and not on the gold side. None of this do I have any actually backing to these feelings or claims I tend to put upon myself.

When I just play it in the way I do, and what's fun to me I don't even think about any of this. If you're one that can't, I don't know what to tell you other than it's your fault you feel that way, no one else.

At first it took my awhile to accept d3 for what it was. Beating a game on normal only to hear I need to do it on hard for the next content, then extreme and then hardcore. It's not the play style I've ever played. I never played the old diablo games but once I heard that farming for that one item, to do inferno, etc I slowly got it.

I accept the fact the game is what it is right now. It's fine. I know there are tricks and methods out there and until I care to figure them out I don't feel bad about experiencing something that someone else would state is horrible gameplay/mechanics/etc. If I teach myself that the game sucks, then I can see myself becoming a whiner. But I control my own destiny, not some company that made a game.

I see no problem with it. This is only problem because you found out about it and feel like you should've been in on the know.

I tried it out and I personally feel it's quicker to just run through a kill fast. Especially when you outgear what you're farming switch becomes to much of hassle for me. I accept it as such and would rather farm and ignore some % that may increase my chance of getting something better. If people wanna manually switch, let them. You already nerfed them with chests/etc. Let people play the game you put out.

Should I use the word 'fun' instead of 'cool'. Just because your meaning of 'cool' is different doesn't mean 'cool' isn't interchangable for me with the word 'fun'. Grow up and live a little. You're entitled to how you feel about my post but it was a legit question.
