am i over valuing all resist? He's got plently of legendaries but some of his stats are way off balanced? or does it not matter if your DPS is high enough?
you need to go on the AH and put in those stats see what similiar items are selling for.
Lately it seems that if gear is missing one key stat it wont sell. Then small stat changes seem to make its value go from 2-10 mil up to 50+ mil. Market seems to be saturated right now and gear that would sell for 100k-1mil a month ago is not selling anymore.
I would rather not get any legandaries and then finally get one that is actually good. I've had 1 set piece drop, in the 2nd week the game came out.
I just hit paragon level 30, so i've been playing quite a bit! In that time i've probably gotten about 8 legendaries, but they have all been worthless. Yesterday I finally got my first legendary above level 60, it was level 62 gloves, which ended up being frostburns that are worth less than a mil.
I'm the kind of guy that does full clears when farming. I break most barrels, open most chests and kill almost all white monsters. So I've gotten a lot of my legendaries from regular chests and white mobs. Do you think if I stopped going for all barrels, white monsters and normal chests I would have a better chance of getting the legendary drop from an elite, hence upgrading the chance it will be a level 61-63 legendary? Or is that not how it works? Everytime I get a legendary from a white mob or chest it ends up being a level 57-60 piece of crap, is that just random or do you have a better chance of getting a 61-63 legendary from an elite?
I think everyone is under estimating the cost. Saying you can spend under 10 mil and have no problem clearing A3 is just lying.
Sure you could get through it but it would take forever and you would die constantly.
I have 53k dps, 40k life and around 750-800 resists with shout and I still do not consider A3 easy. I haven't really kept track of how much I spent but it is probably over 30 mil. I am now at the point where any upgrades are easily 10 mil if not 5x that much.
The 30 mil doesn't count the sweet ammy I found that is worth at least 50 mil.
Starting with no gear and you are good at finding deals on the AH, its still going to cost at least 20-30 mil to farm A3 without dying 10+ times per run.
dude if you can't farm act 3 with that gear and those stats I'm quitting right now. Its going to take me forever to get my stats anywhere close to that.
the gear he had probably wasn't crazy expensive. His all resists were pretty low, which changes the AH values like crazy. I bet with that gear he is having some problems in act 3-4. Keeping the DPS and crit chances he has and boosting his resists up to 700-800++ before war cry makes the budget go though the roof. Then trying to get some better weapons makes it insane.

I totally messed up a couple weeks ago when I found a sweet wizard helm I sold for 11 mil, and then bought a bunch of barb gear trying to build a tank, but I completely ignored Crit chance and damage, which screwed me. Now I am starting over trying to keep my resists and strength up and adding some crit.
I only have time to play 1-3 hours a night max, so just farming act 1 and little of 2 makes it a long journey!
on the main page of the site there is a video posted yesterday about barb spec's and gear.
Basically all resist, crit hit chance & damage, strength and vit. Your budget should be able to get you some pretty good stuff, I wish I had 30 mil to gear my barb!
Majority of Wizards are looking for something with crit chance. And to make it a nice *wizard* helm, it would need something with AP (either max AP or AP/crit).
Is it good for any other classes? I'm only really familiar with the barb
