I was looking at some chant's will with ias, and there are some nice ones that can be bought with not that much money and may make me gain some DPS and getting over the 3.0 mark :) (1.77 aps*72%IAS)

Hello there fellow wizards! Here is my wizard: http://us.battle.net...17/hero/3044347

Right now I'm kinda stuck with upgrades, I play mp1-3 archon for XP farming and I can do mp8 quite comfortably with CM for machine pieces and organs.

The obvious upgrade would be some Inna's pants, but I lose a lot of EHP with that also LOH.
I was thinking of getting a chant's force with Apoc and getting a mempo, but that is way over my 40m budget right now.

    What would you suggest?

Let me see if I'm reading these numbers correctly: On MP1 from 75k EHP and up it is better to move from FA to PA and from 304.2 stop using PA and switching to somehting like SA or PPB.
Is this right or I'm misundertanding what you are trying to convey?

Nice guide dude. A question: Do Archon works in team play? I currently play perma frozen CM and it works like a charm in teams. I'm looking to gear up, but transitioning to archon means solo play and I kinda got bored of that.

I fixed my cm wizards gear yesterday and put on storm chaser.. it actually is a lot of fun. Even though they haven't mentioned it, I am pretty sure they will nerf it since it was an accident. (unless they do like they did with nats)
Well the old natalya's doesn't drop anymore so there is not that much hope for twister to stay as it is. I do hope they buff the other runes 'tho.

I don't know if when I gear up I'll go infinite archon, but right now I'm having a blast evaporating stuff like it were normal and showing the little terrorist of Keep lvl 2 that the explodey one is ME!
You'll go infinite archon because Storm Chaser rune will be brought back in line with other ET runes. That is, a nerf of a factor 4 this time.
And you'll enjoy archon (as I do), for it will be the last, non-kiting viable wizard build.

I know, I know. Seems like barbies are the only ones allowed to play and not get nerfed. The only thing I have against infinite archon is that it really doeasn't scale well in teams and well, the gear check is kinda expensive.

Man, I do remember back a couple weeks ago playing a kiting build to farm act 2 and running like a scared little girl trying to kill something really scary like mortar arcane jailer fast fire guardian on assassin and having to tour half dungeon for each pack. Then I saw a video of somebody rflolstomping that same pack in like 5 seconds with WW critical mass and decided to change my dps gear for crit gear, dropped like 20k sheet dps but I started owning act 2 really bad.
Then patch 1.04 hit, WW got nerfed and it didn't feel that powerful anymore. I tried start pact, but I'm really bad aiming meteors and had to kite a lot, feeling like a scared little girl again. Then I read a thread about Storm Chaser, and behold, once I got used to the moving tornadoes I started tanking the mobs and melting them with short fuse again. I liked to rhythmically spam buttons (we used a signature to release the 3 charges nado back then, lol). Now I roll act 3 alone or in groups having a blast with my friends, not being the paper canon DPS, but being the tank AND the dps with shardnado. Dropping Diamond Armor, teleporting in the effin' middle of the monsters and obliterating them with perma frost.
I don't know if when I gear up I'll go infinite archon, but right now I'm having a blast evaporating stuff like it were normal and showing the little terrorist of Keep lvl 2 that the explodey one is ME!
Hope the other CM wizards like me are having fun too (and getting those sweet legendaries with sick MF like me).

    Hello, folks!
I tried pony level starting with 5 stacks already, but the results were the same. I get better items farming act 3. Of course, I can't say this with certanty, since the items are randomly generated, but it seems I didn't get any better results on pony level...
Now I'm inclined to believe that mf makes THE difference. But, unfortunelly, I can't afford 50mil+ items.
Phrensta and InfinityX, how did you get gold to buy these expensive items before you have a high mf % gear? I'm asking this because I tried to farm gold and even if I get 2 million per day, it would take me an eternity... lol
In fact, the main reason why people want high MF is to farm items and, consequently, sell them for gold/money.
Well, I started to focus on mf early on, on piece by piece base. Unless you want to spend real money on it it is a little by little work. Most people are dropping mf pieces right now at good prices because all the rage (and money) is on legendaries. I would start buying one piece every 3-4 days and little by little your loot will improve and you'll get your money back faster on each mf piece you add.
You can always start with a cheap switch set for dealing killing blows to elites and start improving little by little, white mobs have a nice chance to drop yellows and legendaries and I've gotten a couple of legendaries so a real mf set is worth the hard work.

I have always farmed wth MF. Since the patch hit I have gotten around 15-20 legendaries, with like 4 really good (yeah, you get fostburns too) ones.
I almost always farm in teams for sinergies and buffs to kill act 3 really fast and having fun chatting with some friends from R/L and some more that I've made since the patch hit, now that my MF is mine I got no qualms always contributing to the team with perma frozen and some nice bit of DPS with shardnado. But I do really well alone with my 8.5k DPS Enchantress with Grand Vizier for a nice boost to the MF and have trouble with just a tiny number of bad affix/mob combinations.

TL;DR yeah farming with mad MF is totally worth it.

My main (and mf gear) for act 2 farming:
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/InfinityX-1817/hero/3044347
I can get up to 50k dps and 33% crit chance but I lose 100% MF and I don't think that's enough for act 3 farming.
