posted a message on Grim Dawn after release?

    Hello ladies and gentlemen!

I've been playing Grim Dawn ever since its release, and I gotta say I am pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to become very dull very quickly since one of my friends said it was exactly like Diablo 3, but with fancier looks.

That statement couldn't have been more wrong, I think this game has more resemblance to the Titan's Quest series more than any other, and I am absolutely loving it. The gameplay is smooth, fighting isn't slow and the way they have created their itemization and skill/spell distribution works really well. I haven't even reached end game content yet, and I don't even worry that the game won't hold up in that end, because the skills that I am working my way towards looks interesting and powerful, which is what I gather from the text descriptions alone!

Video of Grim Dawn/ARPG talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA8rnpBkwxw

What do you guys think ? Have you bought/played Grim Dawn after its release, is it the game it promised to be?

posted a message on Request for Feedback!

    Hello Diablo players!

I have returned to the piece of art that is Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. At the moment I will be running a hardcore/ladder Barbarian through normal to hell. Many hardships will come my way, hopefully none of them will result in a RIP

Also, I really want to share the thrill and experience with you guys, thus I decided to make a playthrough. To make sure it is at the best quality it can be, I would appreciate if you guys had any feedback to provide in achieving that goal.

    Kind Regards

posted a message on Whats the best way to obtain desired Ancient/Legendary items?

    Hello ladies and gents!

So, I've been asked about the "fastest" way to obtain legendary items.

Besides farming, the prefered way I use is crafting rare items of the item model I seek in legendary, say I want Bul'kathos weapons I craft Rare Mighty 1H weapons and then use the Kanai's cube to upgrade them into legendaries.

Video that shows what happens when you upgrade 20+ rare items: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhNWUjiQ2jg

This method has been my prefered way, as it takes a lot of farming away (apart the farm for the mats of course) and turns it into "profit!"

What are you guys doing to acquire your legendaries?

posted a message on Pushing the Greater Rifts! Journy to the LBs!

    Hello fellow Diablo players!

I've seen a lot of people asking about "How to push for higher GR levels", and I myself have been wondering on a few things when it comes to the hardcore Greater Rift pushing. So rather than seeking the answers, I decided to obtain experience and come to my own conclusions, which I want to share with you guys.

This thread will be updated everytime I make a new "accomplishment"

I will be pushing for higher GR levels on my Barbarian

    Gear: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Zlex-2223/hero/64552702

I mainly use the Wrath of the Waste WW set.

    24/09/2015 - Greater Rift #57 achieved!

The Rift started out fantastic, had some really great high density mob groups. I definitely learnt that you shouldn't spend time trying to kill solo Champion and at times Elite packs, since the time and effort is not worth it. You should skip and find your next high density pack og mobs.

Video with the entire rift: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14V9-Go8yZU

    26/09/2015 - Greater Rift #58 achieved!

Below average rift in terms of mob density! But still managed to pull through thanks to a great Conduit shrine and my ancient mighty weapon!

I believe I am ready to take on GR59 very soon, and then there is a very little way until the leaderboards!

Video with the entire rift: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coPSTYSXpnk

    29/09/2015 - Greater Rift #59 achieved!

All in all, a really nice Rift, my luck has been with me on all my attempts so far! I feel that I am better at deciding wether the elite/champ pack is worth spending time on, and certain Trash Mob groups.

Video with the entire rift: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhbvcIpAt1g

    05/10/2015 - Greater Rift #60 achieved!

Even though my gear has been upgraded, I feel very squishy, I think what I need now, is a lot of gem levels! Only 5 Rift levels to go before leaderboards!

posted a message on This Banwave is a joke imo

I find it funny, that people whine about being permabanned when they where fully aware of going against the terms Blizzard has provided.....

The question about bots being "untouched" during a banwave is interesting. How do you know that they all were "untouched" ? Where did you get that info from.

posted a message on LEAPquake revisited Mario is that you? (High Torment capable)

    Hello ladies and gents!

I sat down and did some theory crafting whilst looking back at the time of the leapquaking barbarian era, and thought to myself, how can I implement this to fit the current stage of the game?

Video showing it in action + explains everything

This is what I came up with (Keep in mind, this was aimed to be fun to play, not 100x more efficient than the current WW/HotA Dominance):

    Whirlwind - Blood Funnel
Call of the Ancients - Together as One
    Leap - Call of Arreat
Wrath of the Beserker - Insanity
Earthquake - Molten Fury (Pick Chilling Earth if you need more CC!)
    Rend - Bloodlust

    Earthen Might
    Nerves of Steel

    5 Pieces of Immortal Kings
3 Pieces of Might of the Earth
    Rings: Focus and Restraint
Amulet: Elemental Immunity or Hellfire Amulet

    Ring: Ring of Royal Grandeur
    Armor: Lut Socks
Weapon: In-geom (THIS IS AMAZING) The Furnace (if you are boring)

The build does have some survivability trouble in Torment X, though a unity over the Focus and Restraint combo can fix that.

posted a message on First hand experience with the PTR 2.3 [Barbarian]

So I was lucky enough to get into a game in the PTR 2.3 and I must say, the changes that has been implemented are amazing, especially the cube of course.

    Video with the whole thing:

So far I've used these unique affixes:

The Furnace - 50% Elite damage
Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan - 25% Damage whilst moving
    Unity/Conviction for the third slot.

The new Greater Rift system is also amazing, the trail removal was definitely a great addition.

Did a GR 51, with a pretty good time. Killed the Rift Guardian under a minute thanks to the new Bracers for Barbarians that provides up to 100% attack speed in 3 second whenever you hit an enemy with Hammer of Ancients!

What are your guys experiences with the PTR? :D

posted a message on The state of Diablo 3 today.

Last I checked there were no Barbarians in any of the group ladders on EU except the 2 player one, and they were at the very bottom. Personally I don't care if people exploits or not, the thing that I am annoyed about, is the limited ways to play your character at end game. Which I feel needs to be more diverse. More sets is a solution for sure, but if the keep pumping in legendaries and set items they eventually have to increase the Legendary drop rate and in the end the game is going to feel silly, like playing Drop Mode on Open Battlenet in Diablo 2.

They should definitely enhance the skills impact on the game themselves and sure add some new sets and legendaries to compliment that, but it has to stop, before it gets out of hand imo.

posted a message on The state of Diablo 3 today.

    Hello ladies and gents!

I've been thinking about how Diablo 3 looks today, and I can honestly say it hasn't changed for quite a while, in terms of how it's being played.

Video with everything as a podcast with some nice background SUPER SONIC movement WW farming:

After the huge buffs for set items, which introduced Raekor's Charge Barbarians and Leap Quakers, set items has been ruling the way to play the most effecient.

In my opinion that is a bad thing, because it makes a lot of people feel like they're shooting themselves in the foot, if they try anything different in their playstyle, which sadly is true if you play for effeciency.

To fix this, I've noticed many suggest Blizzard adds even more Legendaries and or buff them. Which in theory does create new ways of playing, if buffed enough. But it still wont change the fact that items will rule the way to play. There will always be the most effecient way to play, the best in slot items and so on. I think a mix with both buffing legendaries/adding new ones and buffing the impact skills themselves have in the game, could provide a lot of different ways to play. As mentioned there will always be 1 certain most effective way to play, but hopefully the other different playstyles wont be dragging so far behind as they are now.

    Game modes

Trials are being removed from the game, at least that's how it looks from the newly released preview patch notes for the PTR. While I think it's a good thing that we wont have to go through the drill of finishing a trial to then finally get our GR key, I actually think they should do something else with the Trial mode. Rename it, and give us the option to either do a GR or a "Trial Mode" for our rewards and gem upgrades. I myself enjoy the wave defeating style which Trial mode implements, and I definitely think instead of deleting it, they should rethink it and add it as a secondary game mode, so we will be able to mix it up a bit and not just constantly farm those rift style things!

Races is something that I also Diablo 3 would benefit greatly from. Path of Exile has a few of these, and they are amazing and quite honestly the only thing that kept me playing that game for so long. Competing in either a leveling race or a decent race was a ton of fun, and I would love to see something like that implemented in Diablo 3 !

I love playing Barbarian, but it is quite frustrating that when it comes to cooperative play, we are the worst character when it comes to "adding something to the team". We have some great damage output, but it's outshined by say a DH, and we can't take a more supportive role, since while we can perma CC minions, we don't offensively buff our teammates as well as a Crusader or a Witch Doctor. What I think could change all that, would be adding offensive runes for the War Cry shout or Threatning Shout, hell put it on both! I mean come on, War Cry screams of offensiveness! I YELL ATTACK YOU YELL HOW HARD!

These were just a few thought that I've been having about Diablo 3 nowadays, what do you guys think about Diablo 3 at this point in time?

Looks very interesting! Could is be possible for you to make a video clip of the build in action and upload it to youtube by any chance? :D

I wasnt much to this, but theres always a "but", ill try to do so. Unfortunately it will not be like tomorrow, because i just cannot drop the needed flail ;p

Doesn't matter, you can do it anyway :D, I will be sure to stress, that you should obtain the flail when using this build, if your build gets picked as the best one ^^

EDIT: Also take your time, there's a good amount of it before I close the challenge :D

    Ring1 - http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/eternal-union
    Ring2 - http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/oculus-ring

Basically, build that almost all the time stays still in one place.
So for that, Consecration + oculus ring will be a good choice.
Build should be made with tons of attack speed.
    More speed more shields.
So for that, Mempo is a come back, oculus ring again, lacunis, wh.
As you can see, Phalanx + Union ring along with the passive from
Hellfire amulet ( Lord Commander ) should bring more dmg burst, and TnT obviously.
Ice-climbers + Skeleton king pauldrons are just for more survi, along with Shi-mizu, when Prophet is down on cd.
Wpn + Shield just what to say, mandatory, just that.

Go for stacking ias, get some cooldown reduction, Daimond in head, reroll cd on shoulders.
Red gems all over other slots.
Mainly Holy element for this build is a way to go.

Last but not least; rift gems.

    Gogok -> ias+cd ( opop )

    Mirinae -> holy holy spam
Zei's -> ranged, isnt it ? ( but you can try enforcer for bowman )

Ive used this build when ROS started. I just love the animation of Blessed Shield.
And now... We have items that can bring this build up. And we have this sweet Captain America transmog <3

If ive forget bout something, just blame me and shout it.

    Best Regards

posted a message on Diablo 3 RoS: CHALLENGE! "Best Unorthodox Diablo 3 Build!"

    Hello ladies and gentlemen!

Video with more details on rules and an example of how the build/itemization should look like.

I bring to you yet another challenge, which hopefully will aspire a lot of people to start theorycrafting and come up with some crazy amazing builds!

The rules for the challenge are simple!

1# NO SET BONUSES, NO NOT EVEN 2 SET BONUSES!! It is however allowed to use a single set item, if you do not have anything better for that particular slot. BUT NO SET BONUSES

2# Your build has to be unorthodox, meaning it HAS TO BE DIFFERENT from all the popular farming/support builds that are going on right now.

3# Upload your build or create it using a talen builder such as: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian

Then link your video/build in the comments below, or on any of the forum topics that I have created.

The winner of this challenge, will have his build showcased in a video and claim the titel "ULTIMATE THEORY CRAFTER" There will also be honorable mentions in the video.
