I don't think he meant more of the best items, but less of the worse... So rather than a farming run getting you 50 rares, of which 3 are worth selling, you'd get 10 rares, of which 3 are worth selling. Changes how it feels. That's my take, anyway.

Not sure what I prefer... :)

I see what your saying here, and i guess you are rite, but idk would you like to see ALOT of presents and know that only 1 or 2 will be good ones or very few presents and know that only 1 or 2 of them will be good ones?

Not that I'll object if they find some fun "endgame" to put in the game. Just saying they absolutely do not owe it to you so you can't EXPECT it. You got the game you paid for.

No i am not expecting it. Item hunt is endgame you say? Well item hunt is available in game and yet people arent playing this game as much as they used to. The item hunt may have kept d2 alive but it most cirtainly isnt enough to keep d3 going. Im just saying if Blizzard wants to make more money from the RMAH then they will need something MORE than just an item hunt endgame.

I'd also like to add XP shrines for inferno mode ; How about change them to something more rare and useful, like a repair shrine or something similar.

I'd also like to try and get Blizzard to put back in the games list from D2. D3 atm has a near perfect system for gold and real money trading, but it leaves item to item trading very lacking, which imo was a very important part of D2. If there was a public games list with custom titles, it's my belief it would solve the problem some see with the AH's being the 'only' way to be viable in inferno.

True but think of it from a money making perspective, seeing as there is no subscription fee, how would such trades profit blizzard? They WANT the AH to be the most popular way people use to get gear as this would increase their chances of getting more money.

Lowering the amout of rares that drop (30-50%?) and raising the quality and level of those drops for their respective acts of inferno would do a world of good.

I'm not quite sure of this, think about it, how many people out there play the game, increasing the quality of the loot means there will be more quality loot on the AH, which means people will get to their "perfectly itemized character" at a much faster rate, which means people will stop playing. Like i said im looking at it both from a player perspective AND blizzards perspective, ie making people play more and buy more.

    Origional Thread

    http://us.battle.net...ic/6246615223#1

I’ve been playing D3 since the second day its come out and I must admit it’s a pretty enjoyable game to play, however of late I have found it relatively boring due to a few reasons.
    1) Items do not sell anymore
    2) I haven’t found an upgrade for myself from drops in a LONG time now
    3) Farming spots are redundant
So I have come up with a number of suggestions which I think will make the game a bit more enjoyable and more convenient for players. Before I get into it I want it be known that I understand where Blizzard is coming from: Money, there is no subscription fee but instead there is RMAH. I also understand where players are coming from, we are at a time and age where most players (the mediocre and sub-par players) want an easy game, and feel that they are entitled to the entirety of the game.
    http://25.media.tumb...fjjglo1_500.jpg

Before I go, I apologize in advance for spelling/grammar and I understand that a lot of these ideas may have coding difficulties/impossibilities.

    Resplendent Chests
Problems: I understand the nerf done on chest, i.e. where magic find no longer effects what is inside a chest, however of late I have noticed that resplendent chests are no longer fun to find. There is no sense in reward in finding one and it is no longer exciting to even open it.
Ideas: What if NV stacks effected what dropped out of chests instead? If you have 5 NV stacks this will guarantee 1 rare or even 2 to drop.

    NV stacks and DC/Breaks
Problem: I think we all agree that sitting down and playing the game for hours on end is not something all of us can do, I for one can play for max 2 hours before I simply NEED a break. Im also sure I speak for all of you when I say sometimes a DC when you have 5 stacks is extremely frustrating.
Ideas: Now I understand that if you let people come back with 5 stacks after a DC this maybe abused and people will just dc themselves then start a new game with 5 stacks. But maybe if you are in say a party and you get disconnected you should be allowed 5 minutes in which time if you rejoin the party you should be able to keep the NV stacks you had before leaving. Maybe a cool down could be put into effect too where you can’t DC more than once every so and so minutes, this would stop people from abusing this system to check the AH for example. Basically at this point SOMETHING is better than nothing.

    AH search
Problems: I’m sure I’ve seen this all over the place but I’ll go ahead and say it all the same. The search function is great but I do believe there is room for improvement. You would think that if people were able to find specific gear they would make more purchases (profit rite blizz? :P ). Or maybe they won’t (eg settle for less) I’m not quite sure what the pros and cons look like from a statistical point of view. But on the off chance that you would make more sales if we could find better items. Another concern though one which I think SHOULD be considered highly is sockets/gems in items on the AH. Now I understand people wanting to boost their items when they place them on the auction house with a gem or two.
Ideas: I think it would be nice if we could search for ATLEAST 4 affixes rather than 3. If we could search for 6 that would be AMAZING but once again I’m not quite sure what affect this would have on item sales and profit for you folks so I’ll leave it at that. Now for the gems, I think saying that we should remove gems from an item or disable them from search is a bit too drastic. Instead why don’t we let people choose? Let’s have a check box that allows users to either include/exclude gems from their search?

    Prompt
Problems: Countless times I’ve been in a city and I’ve accidentally pressed exit game :’(
Ideas: How about we have a prompt to make sure I really want to exit the game and lose my NV stacks?

    Killing spree
Problems: I’m not sure about you folks, but one of the best things about leveling was how I could chain pull and be rewarded with extra XP. It’s a lot more FUN to be able to go into a HUGE number of monsters and kill all of them back to back without stopping. The higher the number of the spree the greater my sense of satisfaction (I know I’m lame LOL)
Ideas: Let’s keep it going! How about we get gold for killing sprees? Not a LOT, but a slight amount for it to be rewarding enough. Or how about a rare item at the end of X mobs killed? Or maybe increasing amounts of gold drops from the mob as we continue killing them? Or how about for something truly heroic (50 + spree), an NV stack? Basically some sort of reward to make killing trash as enjoyable as killing elites.

    Tracking Items
Problems: I think I may have read this somewhere im not quite sure, but let me say it all the same, It would be nice if we could see the item we sold on the AH on the recently sold list.
Ideas: Maybe not for ALL the items or not forever but at least for the next 48 hours or the last 50 items. This option might want to incur a small fee as a gold sink.

    Companions and Tyreal
Problem/idea: I think this has been suggested already but once again I’m going to go ahead and say it; I don’t think companions or Tyreal should attack passive mob e.g. goblins.

    Gold/RMAH
Problems: I have found it quite annoying that after I search for something on the RMAH/ gold and then I switch over to gold/RMAH and then switch back everything resets.
Ideas: Now I’m not sure if this is a programming issue/impossibility, but I wish that these wouldn’t reset when you switched between gold and RMAH. Also on a side note I wish there WAS a reset button for the AH search options for when you DO want it to reset.

    Gold/Item Sink
Other than repair cost I think there should be another gold sink. I think that players should be able to slightly modify items for a relatively mediocre cost of gold but at the same time this would make the item bind to the account. This would somewhat help the over flooding of the AH with items in much the same way as in Hardcore where items are lost because players die. The modification and cost should be reasonable enough that people will WANT to do this to the items knowing that they will lose the gold they spent on it if they happen to get an upgrade. (I understand the implications on RMAH, and hence Blizzard profit, here but I’m pretty sure someone out there will have a more polished solution for this that will keep Blizzards money interest intact while maintaining a good item sink)

    Endgame
Now as we all know Diablo 3 lacks and endgame and endgame in Diablo 2 has always been an item hunt. Now I’ve heard of the endless dungeon idea but let’s make this fun for all player levels. What if with every 5 or 10 levels we increased the number of affixes on elites? As we all know in any game what we all want to do is boast and tell everyone how amazing we are/ our gear is/ our achievements are etc etc. Almost everything in any MMO revolves around people showing off to other people, and don’t deny it for a second lol. So how about it, every 5/10/x levels the number of affixes increase by 1. You may not proceed to the next level until all elites have been killed in one level. Your profile reflects the “Highest level reached” and with each additional affix you get better quality/extra number of yellows per kill.
Another Endgame idea would be a “Crazy Stats” dungeon: Basically upon entering this dungeon your stats are swapped with some other stat. For eg MF would = crit, GF = AS etc etc. Once you enter this dungeon it should have a one day cool down or some sort of cool down so people won’t restart over and over. All stat changes should also be listed in the form of a scroll that, say, expires upon leaving the dungeon or leaving the game. Maybe this too could be a form of infinite dungeon with each level having different swaps, and once again maybe every 5/10 levels number of affixes would increase by one and lastly a slot in your profile that displayed the highest “Crazy stat” dungeon level you’ve been to. This will give people more incentive to buy more gear, and play the game too as it would be pretty amusing to see what kind of stat swaps the RNG would come up with :D.

    Edit
I forgot to add this last part in here:
Players want to play a game where there is a reward after you play it for X amount of time. For some players simply KNOWING there is a reward is motivation enough for them to continue. For others they need to be able to visually see this reward and would like a "im this far away from this reward". This leads me to believe that there should be some sort of craftable end game items that would essentially take a LONG time to make. The mats required would be BOA and it should be a fairly good drop rate but alot of it should be required. On avarage players should take about a month to be able to craft one suck item. The end product however should be a relatively good item (not the BEST but just under, maybe a ilvl 62) and should have limited RNG factors to it. Having said that there should be SOME randomness to it (maybe one attribute per class per item per slot) so that players can eventually be like, hmm wonder if i should make another one and see what i get. Once one random property is rolled, it will not be rolled again until all other properties have been rolled.

Thank you all for reading and hopefully we can get some blues in here :D
