It's the same reason why some people never find a Gull Dagger, a Windforce, or a Stone of Jordan - MF has, and always will be, random. I've been playing for years, and I've only ever found one Diggler and one Gull; I have never found a Windforce, Stone of Jordan, high rune, or anything else of value.

And I think the sword you're talking about is Kinemil's Awl, which gives +6 to Holy Fire.

I've been wondering about that for awhile, too. It disappeared right around the same time as the announcement.

There was an online version called - wait for it - The Sims Online. It opened in 2002 and was apparently very similar to the way Second Life is now. It was renamed to EA-Land last year, but has since shut down all services as of August 1st, 2008.

There's a bit more information here about the game.

I suppose if you're looking for an avatar/chat-type thing, look into Second Life or, if you're brave, vSide. I don't play with either one, so I'm not entirely sure if it's something you'd enjoy or not.

Myself, I prefer to stick to forum-based avatar things, silly as it is.

I can't decide which one I dislike more: Act 2 or Act 3. They're both equally boring and long and blah. I always spend more time trying to find a rush through those two Acts than I do actually playing through them (though I've gotten fairly quick with Act 2 now).

I think Gheed, Alkor, and Lysander (and I suppose Geglash, at times) had the best lines in the game. They all had quite a personality.

Curse you. I had nearly forgotten about Zaxby's (though I mentioned it earlier in this thread, lol), but now I'm craving it after not having it for over a year. I think it really, really sucks that all of their restaurants are in the South. Sigh.

My boyfriend's heading down to Tennessee in a couple of weeks to visit his family, and there's a Zaxby's right down the street from where he'll be staying. I told him to take the cooler with him, fill it up with Zaxby's meals, and bring them back up to Michigan so we can experience the glory again.

Funny thing is, I think he's actually considering it.

I'm from Michigan (United States), in a boring little retirement town called Fremont. This town's only claim to fame is Gerber Products Company, the company that makes baby food. Nearly everyone here, myself included, has worked for the company at one point or another (I was a call center rep; most miserable job I'd ever had).

I highly dislike this place. It's quiet and there aren't many people (the population's somewhere around 4,000) which is nice in a way, but there's nothing to do aside of walk around Wal-Mart. Woe.

Not bad for just starting out with the graphics.

Out of all of them, I think the first one has the most potential. Maybe you can soften up the edges of your render a bit and tone down parts of the background; it seems a little too "busy" without really having anything there, you know?

The fourth one, with the angel with black wings, isn't bad either. Again, I'd just work on the background a bit and work up the render so you can't see the background overlapping it.

Also, you may want to work on your text a bit. Text can be pretty tricky to use effectively, and though I don't know the limitations of your program (I use Photoshop, so I have no clue about The GIMP), you may just want to try messing around with options to see what works.

I can't really comment on your AMV, since I know nothing about them. What was the song you used for it? It sounds familiar, and it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just don't remember at the moment.

I'm not trying to be critical, so don't feel like I'm trying to put you down or anything. I'm just trying to offer some suggestions that might help you out; I'm no expert, so you don't have to listen to me.

I'm going to move this over to the Diablo III Game Suggestions forum. It might get a little more attention over there.
