as others stated your loh and AR are too low. i disagree on the required amounts though. i'm running act 3 with 700loh + 5.4% lifeleech (2.4 weapon + 3 passive) and 700 AR buffed with no problems. i think you can even go down to 650 AR. good luck!
By 2.4 i'm assuming your attack per sec is 2.4 hit?
Plus, you got 5.4% LL (also, Life Leech will become better when you have high DPS)...so if it adds up, you also have similar gear to 1k ish mid LOH...
So by just assuming you have high IAS (2.4 hit per sec), you did not take in to account that IAS stats, which also helps to boost your LOH by quite alot.
I guess the 1.5k LOH and 800 Resist all (which is a rough figure to run a WW barb) still applies to new players that can not obtain similar gear as yours.
Even shitty dps offhands are used because sprint, which is the main damage, not whirlwind, uses only MH dmg stat to figure out how much dmg sprint does. Then, sprint tornado ticks either alternate wpn speeds or they use the offhand, cant remember which but i believe they alternate speeds, so thats why you want an axe, sword, or dagger OH w/ mace MH for the passive. All of that + you can get lifesteal and a shitload of crit dmg on an offhand weapon while you cannot get those on a shield. Makes it an easy choice

Not to say Shield is not good, unless, you can find a 10% crit, high block, high STR and VIT, also gear that has plentyful IAS to make up for the lost of DW IAS..
The double tornado dual wield will be still the best spec. Nothing can overcome this dps and speed no matter what they do. They even buffed sprint for more damage and bash to generate more fury so it is gonna be even easier to keep WOTB enitre run.

If you're taking into factor that maxvalue for STR and VIT are different on some (the qouted) Slots, you could even save some money. Shoulder and Belt can have upto 300 STR, while on Chest and Pants there could be upto 300 VIT. Thus getting 100 STR on a Shoulder or Belt slot will be easier (cheaper) than getting 100 STR on a Chest or Pants slot (which can only have upto 200 STR) - Vice versa the same is true for VIT.

Yeap, all value i've added as a referrence search is kinda the cheapest in their own category (~40% of Max stats value per slot gear which i've been using since the very start) .This allows you to not sacrifice STR and at the same time, benefit from VIT. Sometimes you can ignore VIT on some gear cause it saves you quite alot of gold (ZOMG Gears with Crit + Crit dmg + IAS).
For chest, its best to get 3 socket. Base Str 40-50 + 3 Flawless Ruby (34 Str x 3), and a lil higher Vit if you like. Same for Pants (2 socket). You will still need to choose your gear wisely.
For WW spec
The list should able you to farm Act 1-2 with ease (~20k dps, 25k hp), Act 3 will be very fun and challenging, but if you are aware of those really hard hitting mobs, Kite and sprint, you will be fine. And if you think you can't beat them (Flee mobs) just ignore and run to the next pack.
WOTB Rune switching
My Current gear only gave me 28k Hp (although i wish i have more). Depending where i farm, i always switch WOTB rune between TOC or Slaughter. For Example, if i farm Ponyland, i'd prefer Slaughter cause i can pull the whole map of elite carefully, locate them where i want, gone in 15 sec, For bigger maps, Rune TOC is a must.
Whether you know how to maintain your WOTB comes down to practice (takes me 1 day of "dying like a bitch" to notice what Not To do)

I'm pretty sure there are still quite abit of people playing. Tbh, the change in 1.04 will not alter the stat priority imho. High STR, as much crit as possible, magical >500 crit dmg, >35% IAS and ard >50k hp is still being chased by many.
Since the price for the stats i've listed per gear is very affordable for many starters, i still think is a good way to give many starters what should they be looking for rather than just looking at those 100mill out of reached gear and get demotivated for WW/SNB spec.

Yeap, for SNB, the main diff is Shield where you can get more AR and block ofcourse. You should get around 800 resist all buff with 35k hp. If you can not afford a 70 ish AR double resist shield, may be go for 50 ish as i've listed on how to search on AH. Browse thru and you will see the price diff between 50 vs 70 resist (which is by few hundred k to millions of gold).
Reason for 800 resist is just not to get hit "too hard", and shield mitigate quite alot of dmg (and skill such as OP reflect/ Ignore pain/ Leap), but it is best to get Dread shield as minimum, or if you have a lil more to spend, Sacred shield is good. Buy something with 19% - 22% block, which is easily below 500k with reasonable stats (50str, 50 vit, 50 AR).
Any All resist gear around 40-50 range is dirt cheap. Since patch 1.03, Resist gear price has dropped like "Splat". For current patch, Any stats that can increase DPS is alot more desireble if compare to high resist, but not to say Resist is bad, just that they lower the par by like 1/3. For example, i use to have 1300 - 1400 Resist all with 35k hp, SNB pre 1.03 patch, and Act 3 onwards is still challenging and not much time to slack at all. But now, 800 ish resist all will kinda make you go thru Act 3 w/o feeling like hitting a brick wall.
FYI, you still need some kind of awareness and practice to get SNB perfect. Again, any gear that you buy should have double resist, AR + phy resist/Fire resist, its still dirt cheap.
