There are 2 things here. First is of course those people who start later will get same gear much easier and cheaper than you get, BUT if you start later it's harder to make gold / money. Most of the people are already in inferno farming and there are lots of competition in terms of high-end items, also players know prices on AH so it's much harder to get cheap deals there.

So overall, yeah, if you start later it's easier to gear up the character but at the same time it's much better to start earlier if you want to make profit.
that is interresting, i wonder which effect is strongest.

kooqu: read my reply to doez, it is clear that im not here for a discussion on wheter its bad or not bad that the difficulty is varying. im here just to learn whether or not its true that the difficulty is varying. your whole post is really only talking about stuff that i said was irrelevant in this thread, that is quite an achievement when u think about it.

You are demotivated to play because in the future, players might be able to achieve the same as you in half the time, which means you really care about what other people are doing. Then you don't want this to be part of the discussion, which doesn't make sense.

yes i do care what other ppl are doing and im not looking to find a reason not to, that is why i dont wanna hear the "think about yourself instead" argument, because its so obvious and simple that anyone know it, its just completely trivial. and this thread is not really me making a statement about the game mechanic being bad or anything, its merely for me to learn whether or not im right about the difficulty varying as a function of time

hi, so my view is that the more time the game has been out the easier it will be to clear inferno. this is because of ppl getting saturated with better and better gear, so price on decent gear is falling.

however, i did see a video of kripparrian where he had bought a very good 1h sword very early for an amount which is far lower than it would have cost today. but this is maybe just some effect of being of the very first players to progress to a late stadium of the game, and therefore not representative of what is happening to gear prices now. (or no?)

so does this mean that what i have achieved in 150 hours will be achieved by players in the future in 80hrs? this demotivates me to play, because i know i can just wait and have better progress later. it feels kind of a waste of time.

of course ppl could argue that "u shouldnt worry so much about what other players are doing" so i will limit this discussion to not include any arguments of this form.

so any opinions? what are other ppl thinking about this?

yeah i have read that post, but i thought my stats was a bit lower that yours. this is the unbuffed stats.
i did manage to clear act3 yesterday cooperative, and was lucky to find a new weapon. so i have 6 mill now and wondering what do upgrade. i agree that my shield is bad, like 3rdbolt mentioned, but do you think i should get a stormshield or something? my shield has 75 res all which is not too fun to switch out tho

hi, im struggeling a bit in act 3 so maybe i could get some opinions on what is wrong with my stats and skills. i have read many similar threads but i cant get stuff working, even with somewhat similar stats as other people (or too low?)
note that i have a 70+ crit emerald in my stash but just changed it for 300 loh (and im very poor)

i saw someone writing that one should drop superstition, is that a good idea? and what items should be the first to be changed and so on. thanks
edit: forgot to write my skills: i tried this build posted by another forum member http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WXSVkP!bVe!aacccZ

i chose the barbarian because i wanted to use 2h, and now it is clear that its not an option in inferno. of course alot of people have seen the dude posting some videos here with 1700+ dps axe, and yes it works out fine then. but for someone who cant play 24/7 its not possible. so if i want to play a new char i have to sit for 40+ hrs again to reach inferno. to me playing in lower difficulties is not really fun, i feel like the challenge starts in inferno, and probably most ppl think so.

so, i would like to ask the ppl that follows the community tightly whether or not your impression is that blizz will change things so that 2h will be an option?

also as a short digreesion i think its almost beyond ridiculous to not include the necromancer, and i have zero belief that they will not. im totally sure it will show up in the first expansion, and that this is done merely due to economical reasons. they _know_ that people will miss this caracter and by doing it this way they will force alot of people to buy both d3 AND the expansion even though they are getting sick of d3 at that time.
