The way i see it the D3X2 was likely under developement but was scrapped and the content was given away in patches. That means they are working on d4, because they are not doing like nothing at all in progressing the series. I dont see any reason its too soon for it now. Fifa is made every year, so is COD. We dont have to wait a decade

every time, like its not a law of nature that it will be a decade.

But i have a hard time believing its not d4 coming because of the d4 in the goodie bag.

You cant put a D4 in it and expect it not to be a hint. And dices doesnt really have anything to do with diablo, so its a stretch to have a D4 to begin with. And then there is a mistake on it, okay that happens sometimes. But the mistake turns out to be the exact blizzcon date. And at the same time blizzard is said to be notorious on these type of riddles in overwatch. So its something they would have done.

Sounds hard to be random imo.

what they have done is to say that farming inferno is nothing special anymore, but farming inferno with monster level 10 is the new big deal. so even though they hand out more legendaries and sets its not gonna question the player hierarchy in the game. yes more ppl will be able to farm inferno, but thats not gonna impress anyone anymore.

well honestly the economy has gone wild every patch, hasent it. just a brief mention: in the first patch the attackspeed items got nerfed huge, and in the next patch alot of weapons went from being worth millions to vendor trash.

do you think mf gear will drop large in value with 1.0.5? time to sell?

there is even a chance increasing the difficulty is going to be more attractive than having mf. because mf doesnt change lvl 60+ droprates in act 1, but probably the increasing difficulty will (because its not going to be attractive if not).

i agree this stuff sounds fake because of the quote saying that mf gear is to be relevant for the legendary drop. it should not be relevant because, as you know, the mf only affects the amount of legendaries, 7affix, 6 affixes and so on that drops. so when the premise is that a legendary will indeed drop, mf is irrelevant.

edit: i may be wrong here, i just noticed that for example the helm of command has like 5 to 7 affixes. i thought that legendaries was just the same as a 8affix rare with a different color (and some different stats). but if the helm of command can have 5, 6 or 7 affixes then maybe mf affects this. i dont know then

there must be some way to abuse this, gear up a char with 2 of these rings together with two wep that deals ~0 damage with fastest attackspeed and lots of IAS. then just hit something forever and let your party members hunt the goblins

could even be in arranged pvp with a villain tank barb that just take the hits

chaoslux: yes i am aware of this. my point is that i dont see why anyone would go a two hander instead of 1h+ shield because with 1h+shield you dont need to waste any time killing trashmobs on your way to kill elites, you just run past them. but with a 2h many people will probably die trying to bypass everything because its harder to have enough survivability without the shield. so i see a much higher elite kill per minute ratio when using 1h+shield. (im talking about pre 1.04 here).

wizz is also coming today it seems.

but someone here mentioned witch doctor needs buff. at the same time this is the least played class so they have cheaper items.

theadzig: yes i am aware of that, so probably killing everything is the way to go after the patch. i still wonder what the droprates of trash is compared to elites. this 4x would be the same as having 400% mf i think, but only if the legendary droprates also would have increased (which they will not for some reason).

what are the incentives to go 2h barb when you as 1h+board can just bypass all the trashmobs and just slam down the elites? i dont even take down the minions when i dont have to. (i think 2h i way cooler tho, but effective?)

posted a message on what we need is really spiced up pvp, not the standard no-risk model
my proposal is just a sketch, the details can be worked out.

maybe there could be just a limited number of games available at any moment (based on number of players at the time) so that farming places would be contested.

i think stuff in this game is going to be too "dull". what we need is something that really spice up the game, and i mean really. things that can make the game a blast instead of a grind.

the controlled pvp arena is ok, but we need some type of world pvp where dying has some real consequence. for example people can join your game and interrupt your farming by killing you and taking both your gold and your inventory items (not chest or equipped).

this way people would team up with their buddies to hunt other players. this solves the problem of group play being inferior to non-group-play since you wouldnt risk not being in a group.

the details can be worked out, and can even be quite different from what i have described.

the point is just to make the pvp a real battle that matters and is fun, instead of being in "controlled environments" without risk.

    what do u think?

i would prefer the game to not have normal through hell difficulties as i view these to be worth zero of anything.

    Huh?
this was merely to show a poster here that im not after a easy/boring/walk in the park game. what i meant is that the normal, nightmare and hell difficulties could have been left out of the game. i dont see what these difficulties bring to the table except for a streamline grind that anyone can do. probably there is not a single player in the world that finds this content challenging. but this is just an opinion on a digression, its not really what is to be discussed in this thread.

    Quote from Kooqu

You can progress through the game, work hard, and beat it in a couple weeks (or whatever time-frame your skill level allows), or you can let other people play the game for a year and then show up and beat it with barely any effort as a result of their auction house throwaways. It would not be unfair to describe this as akin to cheat codes.

Personally, I feel that the latter would cheapen the experience. Hell, the experience might completely change between now and then and you might never get a chance to play Diablo 3, as it is now, ever again.

If you just want another boring, easy game to play, go ahead and wait. You'll probably forget the game exists and never play it again. Honestly, it sounds like maybe you should just finish the game on Hell and be done with it. Either way, you're going to get a cheapened, easy experience.
i have completed inferno (125 hrs barb), im not after a cheap mindless experience. i would prefer the game to not have normal through hell difficulties as i view these to be worth zero of anything.

but i am uninspired to grind for better gear, since the product of grinding is going to devalue with time. i dislike the experience of grinding if it is performed just for the sake of grinding, but i do enjoy grinding when the product of grinding is something that has value. so its not the act of grinding in itself that i seek, but more the feeling of being on the way to a more valuable character, which is triggered by grinding. but if i grind 15 hrs the next days to increase the worth of my items and then take a break for a month before i return to play, then my grinding was basically worthless because i can get better gear from the ah by just staring out the window instead. and since the grinding was worthless, this doesnt trigger the "im on my way to a more valuable character"-feeling, meaning that the grinding is just for the sake of grinding.
