Okay, I just discovered something else about Goblin portals a few seconds ago. If someone is soloing and they get a portal and click to go inside, as one of my friends accidentally did just now, then they invite you to party, you can no longer enter the realm with them. I attempted entry both via "teleport to player" and going to the physical location of that beautiful, shimmery golden portal. Ye shall not pass!
Grats on the portal, been having the same dream since the goblins where introduced. Still no luck for me, but sooner or later -most likely later- I will have a chance to smack Greed silly like a ripe Piñata
You probably already know this, but you cannot get those portals in rifts. I was running bounties and then checking the Halls of Agony 2, Core of Arreat and Festering Woods if they hadn't already been done in a bounty. Reset and repeat. It took about 40 minutes for it to happen in a full group on Torment IV. Earlier last night I also found a rainbow gobby in the zone just outside New Tristam, but that is just a portal to Whimsyshire. You can tell those fuckers apart by their pastel appearance and the portal is rainbow colored. Now imagine if Blizzard made them look the same as Greed portals--both the goblins and the actual portal--and you had a 50/50 chance of getting either or once a portal dropped. Could that be the ultimate D3 rage troll? Good thing they got rid of Jay Wilson
One of my groupmates suggested moving all utility paragon points into gold find. I went into Greed's Domain on T4 with a full group and a magic find of 4600%. I came out over 91M gold richer.
Upon killing Ms. Greed herself, I received the legendary gem, Boon of the Hoarder: Killing an enemy causes 25% change for gold explosion. That 25% goes up with each rank as it is in blue. Not sure why the wiki says 30% (is it a random role?).
I have never been so happy playing D3 as I was last night. It was quite the rush and I had a hard time thinking straight: I should have changed out the gem in my helm to an emerald. Regardless, that was one hell of a run.
What do you mean in the video when you say you could have selected the original stat, exited game, and been fine?
If you try to change a stat with Myriam and you do not choose the two options that come up, but instead reselect the original stat, then "leave game" and return, you will be able to enchant any stat you want again. I did not learn this until after my stream--a bit too late.
Sucks IF it makes you feel better I got SoH as one of my first ever legendaries (with 2200 DPS) and I eventually got another useless 2300 DPS wep so I salvaged my SoH....
Wow. So sorry, man. I worry about salvaging Legendaries for that reason~ Sometimes we may not realize how good the passives can be until another shows us the way.
I was so happy, I finally got a Shard of Hate drop first time ever; Then I accidentally enchant the wrong property. All captured live--I think you can actually see the exact moment where my heart breaks in two.

Well, I guess I won't mention my gender if it offends people so much or brands me as an "attention whore" as Meown puts it, rather unkindly.
What kind of response would I have received if I just wrote "mature gamer" with no gender instead? I can't help wondering, if a male gamer posted with "mature male gamer", would he receive such criticism and scorn for posting his gender? It seems to be one-sided and rather presumptuous to assume that a woman gamer identifying her gender is doing it for purely sexual purposes. In fact, a lot of these comments just serve to reinforce my views about gender identity being problematic in the gaming community. Though, not always
Edit: And of course I want attention: That is why I posted to forums and have a stream going. But the kind of attention I want is very different from what some of you have indicated I want. I've already explained that in an earlier post, so not going to regurgitate the gemeinschaft and gesellschaft of gaming via streaming again.
not to be a douche or anything but what does you being female have to do with anything
Being female has to do with everything. Everyone just pretends it doesn't because they're afraid of being called sexist
This is a discussion I have had numerous times with other gamers. The cold, hard truth is that there is an overwhelming majority of men in hardcore gaming. Now, that is not to say that women don't game--clearly we do--duh. And a lot of us don't go online and stream b/c of the infantile comments we get like "go back to the kitchen" and "show your boobs" kind of stuff. Or when you see one do it it's such a clear money grab with paypal donation links and begging for gear, etc, that it's a bad representation of women in gaming.
And sometimes it's just better not to identify one's gender in gaming b/c you do get flamed for it or get "bad attention" as I call it. That is you get stuck playing with gamers who can't treat you like a person anymore. So yeah, it's a risky thing to admit.
You're damned if you do, damned if you don't, but I personally like to identify as female. I want other gamers to know that there are hardcore women gamers and we are not shy to be ourselves --and we are not asking for money/gold/gear/sugardaddies, etc... I like social play and interacting with others while I game. It's more fun for me, that's my personality.
It *is* special to be a woman gamer as we are a small minority of gamers, so I proudly and emphatically list it as part of my identity. Love it or hate it, it is what it is.
edit: Thank you for your honesty, Mormolyce. I think asking why gender-identification in gaming matters to someone is blatantly insincere.
Hello, I am a mature female gamer who has been playing video games since before kindergarten and PC games since not too long after that. I am currently playing my third Diablo installment on Inferno difficulty as a crit-specced DH.
I like to livestream for the social element. NOT HANDOUTS OR FLIRTING. This is not spam, I just didn't know how to find other like-minded players, so here I am. I promise to be more active in the forums than just this post, but I am pressed for time between work and my dog and my gaming habit.
