Looks pretty nice, but im guessing that at this point u have to fish to avoid ranged mobs?

How well does it do like 80es? much fishing needed?

Still it looks like most groups are looking for the boss killer, which i take as being the Trag?

Yeah thats kind my worry aswell regarding singularity mages, it feels really powerfull but also really squishy and i dont know if the buffs from the others make up for it enough since i havnt tried it in groups.

Thats kinda why i have stuck to my Bloodmage build so far cuz it feels a lot more survivable.

Pretty much what the title says.

What build are you guys running when doing group GRs for paragon and gem leveling?

    Im P767 atm.
I like my current Bloodmage build, clearing solo GR 69 in 3-4minutes for the most par, but it does feel like there isnt a lot more to power to it.
So i dont really feel like gemming it up cuz im not sure it will really let me gain much more.

Sure the Trag set can go the highest GR's but the playstyle just looks to boring and is it even usefull in groups that are not pushing for max GR?

So is a Rathma Singularity mage build good for Group GRs?

theres nothing wrong with healing monks!

But there should be more viable support builds.

f.x barbs and crusaders should have different but just as viable support builds, that can keep the grp alive, to promote build variety.

Could be that barbs had a support more towards helping ranged dps, monks for melee and crusader somewhere between.

That would really open up for much more varied grps.

Surely there will always "best" setup, but this could make it a lot closer.

Ahh rights its just the 2 4sets.

Have u tried it out in gr's yet?

As for T6, so far i have just been running IK6 with TnT and the 2 BK (only 1 is ancient and still pretty shitty), i just run through whitemobs, and make a quick pass back for elites, so its pretty fast.

Havnt testet WW for speed T6 yet, but i would guess its just as fast. BK's are a must for the extra speed, since stuff just dies anyway.

    edit:

Just tested WW 6 for speed T6, but unless im missing something its not possible to get 4IK aswell, which limits the speed cuz WotB is not permanent. But i didnt spend much time on it, so i guess the run speed could just be found somewhere else, since those DD's really do rape stuff on T6

Thats a pretty nice SoJ, so i would go with that.

SoJ all the way for group play, but for solo a unity will most likely still be the best choice.

So far i have done a gr47 with 6WW4IK. on my first try i was using SoJ and just got raped pretty much, switched to Unity and cleared it with a couple of minutes to spare.

As for the SoJ rerolls, it would depend on your CHC and CHD. Most often u wanna have a 1:10 ratio, so reroll for which ever is lowest.

Let me know how it goes with 4R4IK, guessing u will have to loose the Vile Wards and with that a lot of trash mob dps.

Will it help enough on the RG compared to the loss of trash-clear-speed?

I kinda liked Reakors, specially for speed T6 and speed gr with a DH or two, but going for personal best on solo was a pain in the *** due to the stupidly low singletarget dps.

Reakors have alrdy proven itself, being caplable of 55+ with the right gear and dream rift.

But atm im having much more fun with the new sets, just because the RG isnt such a pain anymore.

The big thing im looking to see in the comming weeks, is if 55+ will be possible with the new sets.

Im sure the dps is there, with the best gear and right rift and all that. But will it be possible to stay alive up there without the mortick bracers?

Done a gr46 so far with 6IK+4WW. using unity + rorg and a non-ancient IKBB. So dmg wise theres still a lot to gain, just from the weapon alone, but thats also much needed as survivability reallly started becomming an issue at this point.

So for me to go hihger i will need much more dps so i have room to sacrifise more dps for survivability, like going with war cry or switching strenght gems for allres.

Why not 6 ww/4 IK? Is double damage really better than 2500% DD?

i had all IK parts alrdy, got a descent IKBB so when i got enough WW's i just started there with the testing :)

I dont know which is best actually, but my guess is they both have their merrits.

6WW4IK is prolly faster for clearing up to the RG i would imagine.

But unless u can position RG so all DD's hit, then im pretty sure that 6IK4WW is best for the RG.

But cant be long until better and more seroius players have testet the various options and can provide a better answer then me ;)

    Edit:

Just did another gr46 with 6WW4IK.

This is not the best comparison as i got really good mobs on the clear and had the RG up in about 6-7min, forgot to check timer when he spawned. finsihed with 4.30 left

6WW4IK does seem to have a lot of extra aoe power, and as long as its a RG where u can keep ww'ing on him and get DD's to hit while not dying then this seems to be superior to 6IK4WW.

With my current gear and setup im guessing 48/49 is my limit.

But if i get a get an ancient IKBB and all ancient gear, maybe switch a few runes and skills, then 50+ i definatly possible.

So with good gear and fishing a great GR, then im sure a 55 is doable, but its gonna hurt like hell without morticks bracers ;)

    Edit 2:

Just did a 47, bad mobs, not the best boss (that rakantoth one or whatever the name is), with 1min to spare, using 6WW4IK.

Staying alive is getting harder, can prolly do 48, 49 at most b4 i need to switch overpower for warcry-impunity.

Need a ancient IKBB to push much further i think, since im prolly gonna have to loose some dps to stay alive.

Most recently I'm talking about giving non-season players access too all the new legendaries. As a gamer who played alot of D2 and LOD. I can say that it's not enough for most to just race for paragon levels or greater rifts.

Sure I could play non-season then. But that doesn't appeal to me.

I hear this a lot from season players. Yet, I don't get it. Why does non-season not appeal to you, but at the same time the season-only rewards are not enough for you?

So you don't think the rewards make it worthwhile to play season, but you also don't want to play non-season. Help me out - why do you not like non-season, why do you want to play season?

Season is a game mode that asks players to start over from scratch. Hit the reset button. I hate that. I absolutely despise being forced to start over again and throw away all my progress just because some artificial reset button was pressed. What's the point? And no, it's *not* fun to start over again, I was forced to do this in LoD with all the ladder-only runewords that, for a casual player, made non-ladder worthless.

If you want to start over, play season. If you don't, play non-season. But just because you personally prefer a certain game mode that does not mean that Blizzard needs to screw all those of us over that don't share your opinion and put all the nice and fancy stuff into your game mode. It's like a HC player asking for HC-only items. I never see HC player asking for this, yet they stay in their game mode. What makes season players so unique that they have to have access to all the items and take it away from non-season players?

No, no, no, no, no. I could not disagree more with this thread. Not everyone thinks like you. Diablo is still based on the ARPG genre, and for me an artificial restart has no place here. I payed the same amount of money for the game as you did, so I don't see why you should get significantly more content than me.

    I so much agree!

I Really dont like ppl like OP, they are so damn selfish, wanting all sorts of cool stuff for the gamemode that they like, while not caring about all the rest out there.

And then they use arguments that makes no sense at all.

Like, seasons will die if they dont get those exclusive items.

That is just a load of bull***. Take season 2, the exclusive items where pretty much crap except for the monk bracers.

So explain to me why there are so many ppl playing other classes on season?

Many seasonal players play season cuz they like the whole starting over again thing.

Many NS players just dont like starting over, negating all the progress they have spend time and energy gathering.

Both ways of playing the game are perfectly fine, but exclusive items are definatly NOT the only reason seasons are alive.

And blizz could easily drop it, as i think they should, cuz seasons would still be very popular with or without exclusives.

So why not let all of us have the good new stuff, no matter the gamemode preference.

At least, so far, they havnt put too many overpowered/required items in there, so ppl will feel forced to play a gamemode they dont like.

If the seasonal exclusives, stopped being exclusive, then NOTHING would change for seasonal players, they would be able to continue doing exactly what they where doing and liked doing.
Only now, the other part of the D3 playerbase would be happy aswell!

But noooooo, selfish players like OP do not want to share, screw the others, i wants my stuffs, u can w8 many months, cuz i dont care about u!

I think it's a bit much to say DH need a nerf, they're ahead but not by huge amounts...

    However I think it's 100% accurate to say that Crusader's need a buff :P

I dont think DH needs a nerf.

I think WD perma cc needs a nerf.

On solo DH needs to move much more, prolly dying a lot in the process, effectively nerfing their dps.

This is dps that they need to stay competetive with barbs and monks.

For solo it balances out fairly well, u got several choices between playstyles/classes to get to the highest GR lvl.

But because of WD perma cc, all balance is gone for teamplay, theres now only 1 optimal choice to choose from, instead of several.

So unless something changes for 2.2 launch group play in gr's will stay as it is now.

If u wanna go high, theres 1 choice.

If u wanna play the classes/builds u like, then u have many many choices, but need to accept that u will never get near the top clears.

DH isn't 10 lvls above everyone else. Just sayin.

    ATM on PTR:

    - Barb can clear 56-57 with the right rift

    - DH can clear 57 and probably a little higher (the bug allowing them to do so will be corrected though)

    - WD can clear 54

    - Wiz can clear 54

    - Monk can clear 54

    - Crusader can clear 50 something, don't have the number in mind.

So yes DH is a little more powerful than the other classes but not even by 5 GR lvls.

So please stop saying they're OP and outrank all classes by 15 GR lvls.

    Exactly!

Just wait and see how its gonna be in groups then!

Solo clears has been fairly balanced so far, no class more then 3 gr lvls behind.

But unless something is done about WD support no1 will catch DH's again.

Maybe Wiz has a small chance at hanging on.

DH's might have more dps, but its harder for them to effeciently clear trash solo.

On the other hand barbs are awsome at it, but lacks the singletarget dps. And for solo this balances out fairly well.

But but but, as soon as u can have a support perma cc everthing, DH's can unleash their full dps potential and no1 can keep up then.

DH dps is in itself isnt whats OP, its perma cc from WD so they can perform 100% on trash which is impossible solo.

It's funny how people who dislike seaons are the most vocal, yet 75% of the the poll suggest people will play seasons. This is reflected in my friend's list as well, where 80-90% of them all play seasons exclusively.

I use to be one of those people who didnt understand why you would play seasons. NS got dreadfully boring for me, so I tired seasons this time around and loved it. Got me back in to the game. I will say though that with all the new sets and items this patch, part of me does think maybe I shouldnt play seasons.

U might be right, but just remember a sample size of 80 isnt really enough to make any conclusions from.

Blizz mentioned something like over half of the playerbase participated in sesaon 2, maybe it was on the tavern talk, cant remember...

Anywho, im not really a fan of seasons, and definatly not the season exclusives, how would it hurt any1 to let all have them from the start?

Was actually thinking about doing s3 to try it out, but i also wanna try out the new sets as fast as possible.

I Dont mind starting from scratch lvl'ing-wise or paragon-wise, but omg, i really dont wanna farm that other stuff again like the different mats and keys.

Prolly gonna stay nonseason, and then see who of my friends go season and take it from there.
