i have 4pc nat, but i use the crappy helm only for rd packs+infintie gloom

7/10 or +1 for legacy Nat's (+1 only because you are not using 4P at all times, which defeats the main purpose of wearing legacy pieces).
You start to trail behind damage-wise when using legacy Nats and it will only get worse unless you can get your hands on well rolled items in other slots.

My DH with few upgrades: http://eu.battle.net...10/hero/3079747

I have probably hit a ceiling where I can go with my funds. Im down to some 30m, things do not sell on GAH, and every piece of gear that would be upgrade now costs mad amounts of gold.
Im looking for upgrades within reasonable budget:
    • Rare ring, gloves and around plevel 70 also neck.
    • I hope for Witching Hour drop :) If that happens, I will want to reshuffle Nat's and Inna's pieces to keep at least both 2P bonuses.

I'm trying to pick up a natalyza gaze with socket just for pLvLing. Not cheap tho. =( I use the 4pc for ubers and inefficient higher mp farming (pretty rare that I go for anything over 5). I do fine with 3pc (my boots are well rolled legacy) in MP4&5. I mainly use it for the infinite gloom for higher MP lvl vs RD pack as I don't kill them in two glooms as I do int he lower MPs. For pLvL i do 1-2 and obviously you just roll through those. I play super casual believe it or not.

Maybe invest in some CHD rings. Maybe even a 2/3pc nat for dex/crit.

i'm actually poor, just got lucky drops and good at sniping on ah. XD nothing ever sells >_>

i have a nats chest, just need more gems.. impale/1.25 hatred/9 disc, and a 9% hunger/9ias/160 dex skull grasp.

Looks good in a lot of ways, I see what you're going for. I would say look into a witching hour for a belt and upgrade your shoulders and ammy next.

    Ooh..I get to play :)

Interesting skillset. How do you play with 20k hp? no gloom for rd pack? no additional disc? i guess you nuke them down with the smoke screen which would explain the cluster bomb. personally i wouldn't have 2 hatred dump (or hatred gen). i think if you drop your cluster bomb for gloom your quality of life will be a lot happier.
I know you are going for an IAS+CRIT DMG build (with SS obviously to pick up the slack) but you need more crit chance!!

i think RoV/beastly bombs just plain sucks as it has such poor range. better off with stampede or something else.

no socket in helm? :( you will be doing this for a long while. pick up a cheap mempho. i know youre lacking serious crit chance here, but you should try making that up somewhere else.

    I forgot a score, 4/10

I wouldn't call it lame. No one has been complaining that Jagged Spikes doesn't do enough damage. It's plenty strong as it is right now, especially since it can proc CC effects and Life on Hit.

It's not one of the skills that needed a buff.

I call it lame because I and I think a lot of people read it as a BUFF, but it's just a rewording by Blizz. That's why its lame. With 4PC Nata you can get near infinite caltrope which makes it total easymode. :P

I think this will help with fast affix since you get the full duration? or is the damage only while in the caltrope?

"Enemies in the area also". I really hate the wording. I don't know why they say over 6 second now..

Didn't see anything too interesting but this.. from the unofficial patch notes:

Jagged Spikes : Enemies in the area also take 270% (up from 45) weapon damage as Physical over 6 seconds.

That means guaranteed 270% weapon damage over 6 second? vs taking continuous damage while in the caltrope? Right?

posted a message on Get Nats Mark or other gear?
IAS is calculated into the "WEAPON DPS" sheet. Which means, a 1200 DPS (with say 9% IAS) does less raw damage per hit than a 1150 DPS (with no IAS). Look at the weapon damage range (min-max). Yes, you can gain 9% more IAS meaning you can shoot more. But get IAS on other gear and not on weapon. IAS is still nice, and you probably do not want it on your weapon unless its 1350-1500 dps range because thats how they get you in those ranges. This is more so for 2h xbow. For bows, the damage range is wicked huge (very low min, and can get to reasonably high max) so it may not matter.

posted a message on 1.0.4 Changes to Demon Hunter
RoV is a CC not a damage ability. We do a lot of our burst/dpsing while RoV is stunning or knocking back monsters. Yeah, the DPs increase is nice, but that's not why we use RoV!!! Lower the cooldowns! If people want massive dps for ROV w/o the CC (stampede/striking) than by all means...but we all know what will edge out.

The changes are lackluster. =( We need more survability or buffs to our discipline spenders, maybe lower some of their cost? Our passives are okay, but there is very little variety to choose from imho.

The new Natalyza will probably be pretty amazing/op. Will it still have 2 disc regen per second? We don't know yet.

posted a message on Balanced DH- Does it exist?
Definitely worth it but not easy to attain. 1.04 should be better, you may still die in 1-hit, but co-op will a lot more forgiving atleast.
Even with balance, you may only take 2-3 hits. I am doing okay with just 22k hp and 150 ar, reduced melee dmg is actually a godsend. I am actually able to take atleast 1 spear throw if I don't cast gloom fast enough in Act 3. It also does help that I am rocking 4pc natalyza and can spam gloom, but with high dex, I am able to "luckily" dodge a lot of attacks that would otherwise kill me. I would definitely aim for 35k hp, 250 ar, and 50k dps unbuffed. I am know its just people throwing out number, but I think you should be able to survive 2-3 hits with that from MOST monster. Golgons and 2-handed skeletons will still probably own you, and anything with the enrage buff (red glowy) thing will probably hurt a bit. I don't recommend eating any fireballs if you don't have to.

Smoke Screen and Gloom are definitely your best friend, so stack as much discipline as you can.

You have to get close for cluster bomb to be effective.

Evasive Fire w/ Cover Fire and Hungering Arrow are both effective and viable hatred generator. :) Both with their pros and cons. They fill many different play styles, and many other abilities definitely synergize better with one or the other. I've been supportive of EF for some time now, but am already enjoying HA w/ SoT and cluster bomb as my current build. Unrelated, but I really didn't like cluster bomb due to its almost unnatural aiming, but with some practice, it is my favorite nuke.

posted a message on More DPS Please.
Because it is damage per second like what your character profile says. Obviously your damage can vary base on your crit chance, weapon damage range, ability and weapon % damage, mark of death modifiers, passive damage boost modifiers, etc. etc.
