posted a message on Public games in HC how safe are they?
I just started playing HC myself and jumped into a few pub games.. Good results generally. My char is low level normal so not sure what its like for those that have been playing for a long time. The biggest issue I have seen with HC , IMO, is a lack of communication. Granted, there is no time to type while fighting but I would rather find some people to play with that can communicate over TS or Mumble since that would make playing HC so much better through shouts outs or planning the next move. Most pubs seem to have that one player that just keeps barreling ahead recklessly and I'm not ready for that style of play myself..

Thanks for replies... I think I will back off on the MP then. It is taking much longer to level and having already lost 2 DH around the same level of 16 to stupidity, I would rather not lose this WZ. I will try to stick to MP for the increased experience also..

I will get back to the Barb but he is a SC character so of little use to any of my HC characters and now that I've tried HC, it really is bringing some excitement to the game with the chance of losing everything.

posted a message on A few ( possibly n00bish ) questions about MP
I don't play often so I am a casual player. I still haven't beat Hell with a SC barb and honestly don't even know if I will try. If I play, I am more interested in trying out HC now.

I just started a HC character this morning ( my first wizard ) and set the MP to 5 hoping it would allow me to access slightly better gear from elite and mini boss kills. I also believes it's supposed to provide more experience thus leveling you up faster..?

Two kills today though left me wondering why I am bothering to risk my wizards early development with higher MP.. the wretched mother fight in the cemetery and then the Headcleaver fight both dropped nothing but white items. I saw basically no improvement in any other drops either. It also feels like this wizard is taking a little longer to level than a recently deceased DH did on MP0.. but that could be because the monsters are fairly harder to kill and it's just taking me longer to move through?

I have to admit, I don't get too involved in understanding how all these things interact so maybe I'm just missing the point of MP.. is this more for the players that are in Hell/Inferno and looking for ways to have more challenging runs?

posted a message on Any guilds/clans have a decent number of 35+yr old players?
Hello... I have been looking at some of the groups that post they are for mature ( which I read as people over 35 with jobs/mortgages/kids/etc.. ) I'm looking for a group of players that are closer to my age ( which happens to be 44 ). I don't mind playing with 20 somethings but that is a pretty big gap and when it comes to discussing things out of game, there is going to be a disconnect ( i.e. tastes in music, life experiences..... ) I've been a member of a COD clan for a while that focuses on 30+ yr old players and I'm looking for something similar with Diablo 3.

A little gaming background on me.. my first real online gaming experience was Diablo when I was in my early 20's and IT WAS ADDICTIVE ! I spent many nights up until 2 am when I had to be at work by 7 am... it was brutal but I loved it! After about a year went by I just needed to give it up because it was really getting out of hand. I played Quake 2 for about a year when it came out. After that, I switched over to a mac so my gaming on a computer stopped and I played on my Genesis... I pretty much skipped the entire playstation1-2 and xbox era completely and didn't really play games at all for that stretch of time. Around 2008, I bought the Wii and when BlackOps came out I tried it.. LOVED IT! Even more than the game, I loved playing with motion controls... it makes more sense to my older brain than thumbpads do ;). This one of the reasons Diablo 3 is appealing to me so strongly. It's simple, fast paced and very addictive :Thumbs Up:

I skipped over diablo 2 ( computer wouldn't have run it properly and I was much more involved with a band at that time and didn't have time for a game like diablo 2. But, now I'm not really playing music too much and my pastimes have again brought me back to gaming. Diablo 3 has been an amazing experience so far but I really only have an ally or two that I play with and I'm looking for others. I take the game serious but not too serious ( i.e. I have little interest in studying the intricacies of stats and all this theorycrafting people talk about ). I am a team oriented player but I might be interested in trying friendly PvP when it's available.. I just want to play, help others and get some help in return and maybe talk about music, life etc. while playing the game... I would like to use some type of voice chat during game because the whole typing thing takes to long ( I have Teamspeak and Skype installed on my iphone but can use anything that has an iphone or mac client.... yes I still game with a mac ;) )

So, rather than me hunting around for a group of players that fit into my "age" group, I thought it would be easier to just be found!

    My battle tag is Str8UpJack#1243

How many members do you have that are around or 40+yrs old? Sounds like a good place to group up and play.
