Aha! So the legendary weapon is the key.. 35% in a slot where normally you can't get any. Thanks for clearing that up.
And the rings.. Band of Fallen Heroes and Screaming Chain, right? Only ilvl 61 so they can't have 18% MF but then get a 15% set bonus.
I'm not sure it's entirely reasonable to say he "clearly has no idea about his own game" for not being on top of an obscure combination of legendary items which allows one class to break 300% MF, but again, thanks for showing us how it's done.

Yes that's a perfect set and the max you can get, but still you don't need all those fancy sets to break the 300.
Well yes saying he has no idea about his own game might be a bit over the top, but I would say that most of them have totally lost track about what's going on in and outside the game, if not he would have known (for example) http://www.diabloprogress.com/ where he could have checked the top 10 MF list before saying that you can't reach 300

I should add that originally I was searching an upgrade for my barb, after 750 crafts where I got ONLY crap, I switched to DEX amulets, within the first 5 amulets I got that one and gave it to my monk which wasn't wearing any gear at that time, what a waste.

Seriously the time to compare all the trash items you find and list them on the AH, you can just go for another run and possibly find a legendary / set item that wil surely sell.

That still doesn't account for RNG, i'm running with 375MF (397 with follower) and in my last 5 or 6 full act 3 clears I haven't got any legendary at all.

Being at paragon level 4, you have absolutely no idea if it's possible to be at 55 now or not, sorry, but there are WORLDS differences in XP per level required at lvl 4 or 55 ;).
That calculation doesn't add up tbh, he's now already at 165% base MF, now add 20% from follower, and maybe even just 1 or 2 pieces with 20 mf from gear(i'm sure he has that), that makes 225% MF + 75% from NV is 300%, so I am pretty sure he will see a fair amount of legendaries drop in his grinding frenzy.

Of course I don't know exactly aswell how the CD works, but I can tell you even creating a new game, I had to wait for the previous 15 minutes to pass for a new gob.
Maybe I was just insanely unlucky, maybe not, I'll never know I guess ;P

Also, under normal circumstances, you might, if you're lucky get one gob in 30 mins (maybe not even that), as testing was done with atleast 25 mobs bashing on me nonstop.

Just run around in the game I guarantee you will find more than 1 gob every 15 mins, this item might only be worth putting on a follower, other than that, it's trash.
