Does Strongarm Bracers works with "Piranhas"? or Does any other skill would trigger Strongarm Bracers Knock back +Damage% bonus Effect? Trying to decide between Strongarm Bracers or Aughild's Set or Reaper's Wraps?
Just a few pointers of what I've noticed to supplement what has been previously mentioned:
- APD bracers are amazing REAL toughness that doesn't show on stat sheet for Lightning Monks running LTK or if you are in a group with people running stuns. I've recently swapped to Aughild's but feel that APD provides vastly better real toughness but of course you lose the elite damage.
- Life/%Life is vastly vastly overrated toughness, as is dodge. I have had my toughness go to 18M-20M with life/%life and yet feel way more squishy than with a well tuned 12-15M toughness. I suggest trying to hit 80% dmg reduction from both ARMOR and RES. Therefore I suggest spending Paragon points like this:
Core: Max movement speed to 25%, then dump rest in dex. Dex allows you to kill faster, and with the passive Seize the Initiative, provides armor.
Defense: Max Armor first, since this is harder to get for monks. Then put the rest in res unless you have been extremely lucky with gear and OWE, then I would put the rest into life regen.
- In conjunction with the above, don't be afraid to swap out diamond gems for emeralds when your res is nearly the high 70's in damage reduction. You will gain more overall from the dps increase and armor gained from dex gems.
Decided to start experimenting with new abilities because I've been run the same one in all of inferno and even before that. During a Champion Pack (Blue Named Monsters), they were all low on health and one died with Exploding Fist (Impending Doom), which resulted in extra loot dropping. At first I just thought it was just a one time thing, but did it a few more times and here ya go.
The 2nd build worked slightly better for me, cause it brings them all down pretty consistently. Also you generate more spirit to actually spend on Exploding Palm.
Quick Note:
Some Champion Packs like Shielding and Illusionist make this next to impossible. Range monsters makes it hard to get them together for the explosion to work.
And yeah, I found that amazing as well... In fact, I am continuing to craft pants until I get a 2 socket roll, then I'll go do more belts, shoulders, or chests.
You will be crafting for a long time then, because it is a known issue/bug that crafting pants can't roll 2 sockets and the same with crafting chests (can only get 1 or 3 sockets, not 2).
