im only using my string of ears on the hard hitting mobs like p2 diablo (adds), pony level, and opressors (spelling ?) oh and the champion pack big fat dudes in a3
1. you will need about 65-70k HP
2. if you have over 1k resistance drop superstion its useless and replace it with inspiring presence (1% hp regen persecond ( so your getting about 650-750hp back a second)
3. LOH is NOT needed but if you have it at your desposal use it
4. 10k armor around res around 1k is a nice threshold
to get you hp up get your vit around 1500 ( chest and pants can occupy 225-250 (300 max) each ) and smash life % on helm ( socket needed and life % on ur shield can get up to 14). so if you want around 30% life
just to show what melee reduction stuff can do with string of ears (19%) i was swapping out on a seigebreak farm this morning and noticed if i swapped it out i was taking 6k -7k hits - swapped it in i was around 3-4k hits (running a stormshield with 19% block 4% melee reduction), swapped it completely out with a normal belt and a blue sacred shield with 25% block (nothing else) it was hitting me for 9k
I ended up selling it for 1.8 million, when, I may very well have just vendoered it seeing it being a level 54 item.
and this is what 99.9% of the qq'ing barbarians do , they vendor the item cause they got pissed off they didnt get a item for themselves
And you are basing this on what? Your own research? Things you hear your mates complaining about? You had a dream about it?
Back on topic... the resists that they mention aren't solely from the items you gear. Warcry's impunity rune increases your current resists by another 50%, so it gets even more effective the more resists you've got to begin with.
should be players in general not just who play barbs, majority of the people i know dont know what other classes needed in the game.
oh and for the record impunity raises it up 40% - so if you have a neck piece with 60 all resist it will increase your resistance by 90 with the buff up
are your DR stats with your barb + enchantress buff ??? needs to be around the 10.5k + with both those buffs and it looks like you have spent some $$$$$$ on 2 block items yet your still getting squished........
I read alot of posts about 5 stack belial / siegebreaker farms, and then to realise that they have to skip literally 60-80% of packs to pick the easy elite/champion comps
I for myself have a1 on farm running full mf gear getting 5 stacks before getting to warden and standing in everything the elites throw at me, last night thanks to some a3 theorycrafting i could stand in EVERYTHING in a2 but still had to move out of the bombs on belial in p3 in my full progression gear (time to start swapping out peices for mf)
a3 is starting to become actually fun with my monk mate where we can 'tank' half of the elite packs until we see soul lashes and run away like school girls hahahahaa
get 5 stacks for the nv buff before u get into the cursed hold and kill all elites / butcher with about 150% mf + see if that start imporving ur loot drops
what have you effictively got on 'farm' a1 or a2 ???
if your comfortable with rofl stomping start running with mf gear for full runs and ull start seeing more blues/rares drop of trash mobs (even legendaries. this also helps when u have 3 of your mates with you aswell - more loot does actually drop !!!!!!!
also do you know what other classes are looking for in regards to gear to sell on the AH ?
