13k dps is on the low side for a3. Your def stats are good enough if you play careful, but the problem is that your champ fights are going to take awhile and you have basically no sustain. what weapon/shield u running ?

if you want to play a lazy barb and stand in stuff then you need 1k+ resist. important to note that with 9k armor and 700 resist you are literally wasting a passive right now (1k armor overkill) and should be running ruthless for more dps and go that route OR stack more resist and go the tank route

oh yeh, keep string of ears for the HARD hitting melee mobs - for everything else get a decent str/vit/resist/life% belt

always will help out the new guys who want to be "that insanely geared barb"

you can gain life pretty easily you can either stack vitality to the point where its retarted (1500+)

or you can get 50k life with1100 vit and around 21 life% get life % on gear helms can net up to 20+ (14% + on gems) and then 4%+ on normal stats shields can get up to 16% shoulders, belt and neck can have up to 10 i think chest aswell - rings can have up to 5 ???

upgrade your vit gem to a star (AND NEVER SELL IT !!!!)
get a chest piece with more vit with resistance (3 sockets is godly here to cheat hahha) dont worry about str in chest they get expensive you want ur vit stacking on chest + legs
get a leg piece with same stats and resitance
find the same stat helms without resistance and add crit
find a vit shield (str can come later ) with 16+block either a dread or a sacred with 8.0% crit - all resistance is not needed on shields as they also get expensive with the juicy stats
bit of mixing and match pieces but you get the idea where u can get cheaper stats on certain peices
defensive passives and using EQ is never a good combo
offensive passives and using EQ is different but ive never used it since ive gone with the more basic approach of weapon master + ruthless and only using wotb using insanity
frenzy maniac is only used for me when im running bloodthirst (3% life steal)

when i mean by garbage i mean by the ilevel 51-55 you see clutter you bag space and people that have been in inferno for a long time know what im talking about

this morning when i logged on the sub 55 ilevel was very minimal , i asked the question so i could get an idea if stuff had changed or was it just luck

give you and idea with gear changing shoulders and belts are common to have over 200+ str

chests can have decent vit 200+ and then 3 sockets
pants can have decent vit 200+ and then 2 sockets

3 days ago i was in the same boat as you then i saw the light - whole point of all barb dps builds is crit / crit damage so that sword has to go and replace with a mace/axe - swap beserker for ruthless its then a process of slowly replacing block with more crit / crit damage - nerves of steel / tough as nails whatever gives u more armor

swap charge dreadnaught with ignore pain with ignorance with bliss (play style change your going to be alot more toe to toe with mobs now after the beserker and IP wears off)

7k res 7k armor and make sure ur hp is around 50k over (1k vit with 25 life%) the str around 1500 - 6% attack speed (one piece) crit around 40% and damage to about 220% with a 900dps weapon and you will hitting the 30k mark and start seeing the light

if you hit for 200k and ur running with bloodleech only (3% life steal) it will heal for about 1200 (0.6%) havnt tested it with my loh weapon though.....

unless i got extremely lucky in the past 2 hours in a1 and a2 the level 51-55 are not cluttering up my bag as from last night and there is more ilevel 61/62 loot - that being said the yellow ilevel 63 items were rare too but thats how its intended in the earlier acts - im at work now but i know its very early days to see if blizz implemented somthing to test out before 1.03b

is it possible for ilevel 59/60 items that drop and have ilevel 62 prefixes and suffixes ? cause im getting huge rolls numbers on lower tier , pitty sometimes arent rolled with the right combos

for whatever reason when i roflstomp act 1 in my full mf gear solo ill always have more yellows than blues in my stash (317% mf wth 5 stacks) (not worried about the quality of yellows here)

did a few runs in my full mf gear in act 2 last night and it was like i was running with half but to my surprise i wasnt - it just seemed that there is a lower chance for rares ?????

ill get about 2-3 rares per elite kill with full mf gear in act 1 yet in act 2 i will barely struggle to get 2 rares. can anyone else confirm this as ive been gearing up my MF gear since downing downing diablo. but if this continues i mayaswell just roflstomp the later acts in my proper gear.......

has anyone else had this experience and act 3 and beyond ?

1.03 for barbs means you can have SOOOOOO much fun experimenting - sword and board is cool to take on like 4 elite packs or even take on the same 4 packs with a 2 hander and crit for some stupid amounts
