I swapped my AR paragon points to life regen at 70. Not sure if it is actually better, but ~8k life regen/sec feels better than 235 all resist.
Personally I like the AR more than Life regen because I used my other points on LoH. With around 6-8k LoH I don't really need much life regen, and the AR makes LoH even better since AR mitigates damage. I only have 42 points in AR but without it, I take almost 16% more damage.

I have a short question about the calculation of the effective char sheet DPS. My unbuffed and buffed char sheet DPS match perfectly, so I seem to have gotten all the stats right.

Buffed char sheet DPS is 1000728. Additionally I have +43% cold damage (just wanted to see the DPS for my FO) and +41% Arcane Orb Damage.

Now I read in another thread, linked from the FAQ here, that these should multiply. So I was expecting my buffed char sheet DPS to go from 1000728*1,43*1,41=2017767, but even if it would be 1000728*1,84, it would result in1841339. Your sheet shows 1809575, though.

I think you multiply them, as seen in D39 Full gear calc, but you have lost me with the calculation in D17 Full gear calc.

Did I enter something wrong or do I calculate it wrong?
If you have buffs enabled, those are additive with the +arcane Orb damage. Let's say you're running MW: deflection for 10% bonus damage. The calc would be

1000728/1.1*1.43*1.51=1964429 effective buffed char sheet dps. Basically D17 is a sum of all the weapon damage buffs, including MW, GC, SF, +skill damage% (like arcane orb), UW, etc. Your char sheet dps is multiplied by that sum+1, which is also multiplied by a similar factor accounting for your elemental damage.

In other words, elemental damage is multiplicative with skill damage, like you said, whereas skill damage is additive with buffs from skills like MW and such.

    I hope that makes sense.

I prefer Disintegrate over AT because I like the aoe of chaos nexus. For bosses AT does more damage but for just general aoe disintegrate wins out for me. AT is easier to channel though, since it has the lower AP cost, so it tends to work better with higher APS.

I run with 2 cost reduction pieces of gear, plus a -4 cost SoJ and power of the storm. I only have 4 APoC, which barely matters since I can practically channel in town without dropping my AP, but against 1-2 mobs I should be gaining AP. I do run with Templar, but no Arcanenot or Astral Presence.I'm at 1.49 APS and the other stats you can see in my spreadsheet if you're curious.
Well, legacy SoJ makes a huge difference in your case. I guess, you can replace that cost reduction with +damage on your other ring and still have no AP problems. Most people don't have/use that SoJ, however.

Anyway, I still use AT and I like it just as much as I like Disintegrate (they have their pro's and con's, like I said earlier). Yet I still think that Disintegrate is the way to go for T1-2, because if mobs die in 2 seconds, that initial delay caused by AT's travel time actually makes a noticeable difference. For longer fights I feel that these spells are on par thanks to AT being cheaper.
I agree that SoJ makes a big difference, but it's possible to run without. You'd just want more cost reduction and definitely need to run Power of the Storm. I've played around with quite a few different configurations and I think I can manage without PotS if I have 3 pieces of cost reduction and paragon cost reduction, but I'm not positive.

Short answer is it's never bad to stack AR as a wizard. Except for the slots like chest and pants that can roll over 500 armor, AR on a piece should always be better than an armor roll (not counting those that use Energy Armor, which can put armor rolls on par with AR depending on your actual stats). Damage mitigation is always good to have and you can literally never have too much. Even if you have so much mitigation that you can't get illusionist to proc, you can still use more (since more mitigation means less damage taken which means your life replenishment stats are better).

As for your low life replenishment stats, you can put paragon points into LoH, which is what I do. With good mitigation, that LoH can go a long ways.

EF is a non-elemental damage weapon, so don't put anything in the C7 and C8 cells. If that doesn't fix it, let me know.

I've been looking over the spreadsheet and trying to calculate the values myself. However I've been finding it difficult to find a definitive answer. My question is regarding Crit% vs +Skill damage. Anyone have a straightforward conversion? . Considering I'm using a Wave of force build would it be smarter to go with the +DMG or the Crit %? Here is the item screenshots. If someone can help me out I would be very thankful.

On the equipped tab, put the item with crit%. On the other sheet put the version with +skill damage and keep the other gear the same. Compare effective dps and you'll see which is better.

I messed up the Unwavering Will contribution to EHP but just updated the spreadsheet to correct it.

In case there's any confusion, your Int, Vit, Str,DPS, HP, CC, CD, APS should exactly match the in game value (APS rounds to 2 decimals though). Your armor and lowest resist should match the in game values exactly, though they might differ by 1 due to rounding on the char sheet.

Updated Str, vit, and Int for a lvl 70 character
Added Unwavering Will to buffs list
Updated Enchantress EHP calculation to include armor from paragon points
Updated HP calculation based on lvl 70 character

As Bagstone said, the spreadsheet is working fine. I just haven't updated it with the new passives or updated the EHP calculation to account for higher level. The DPS part works just fine.

posted a message on How to get rid of an old Triumvirate ?
I found a OH just before logging last night that was a dps upgrade over my triumvirate, but without the 10 APoC I think I'll hold out until I get a good legendary. Otherwise, if you find a really good dps weapon with elemental damage, it makes it a lot easier to drop the triumvirate.
