Diablo went from, play as long as want, whenever you want, to WoW style 1-3hr runs or choose to be an average geared player.
That sucks. You could pindle or meph while you waited to leave for the bus, but now, you either put in WoW-raid like time, or you won't get drops.
I found this today. Why do the dps need to be so fucking ridiculous on legendaries? The stats are not bad, but this thing worth nothing because the damage is too fucking low. It's not even good for a gold find gear set.

Sure that might be your opinion of diablo 2, i gave you mine and the reasons why diablo 2 lasted way longer then d3 did for me.
i'm done with d3, there is nothing left to do for me so, for this moment i quit the game. Diablo 2 however kept me going on playing for 6 years and for me those are the points that make the difference.

This is what I don't get from D3 apologists. Yes, what you call a pathetic or barely an endgame, Baal runs / leveling to 99 etc... was an endgame, that we and 90% of the people on this forum, enjoyed for years after release.
D3 has no endgame, confirmed by Blizz and ANYONE WHOS KILLED I.Diablo.
And thats why D3 sucks, no end game. There is only leveling, I reached Inferno on my 3rd toon at level 55, in a few days of non-hardcore play, around 3-4 hrs per session, then ground out Izrual to unlock Inferno, then killed I.Diablo in a couple of hours.
That's a pathetic level of difficulty when that is the entire game, infact I'd compare it to the various asian wow clones over the years.
Biggest thing for me is the uselessness of MF, in D2, you put in the work for a MF toon, and used it to kit your other toons, but the RNG is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RNG in D3 that even when you have MF cap ( im 2% off non-WD toon), there's no payoff, speaking from personal experience, probabilty says you will get luckier over time, but 0.1% of a decent item with a decent roll, without missing a stat or slot, to 0.11% is still shit.
If you make a game without endgame, that can be beaten in a day, thats a crap game.
Doesn't matter how pretty it is, doesn't matter good the gameplay is.
WE ALL PLAYED D2 WE OBVIOUSLY LOVE THE GRIND.

This isn't some indie studio, this is Blizz, they set the bar high, and failed to live upto it.
How the hell do you guys kill anything in Act3 with 380-400 MF? Do you wear crappy mf gear and die a lot or do you switch at the end of every elite kill or do you wear good gear with MF (which is vare hard to find and extremely pricey)?
So you played a game for 400 hours before you realised it you found it boring? Not sure if slow in the head... It's 10-15x more hours of gameplay than the average game.
D2, WC2 WC3 DOTA CS NS etc... ate alot more than 400 hrs lol
Why compared it to todays MW3 etc? That took me like 2 hrs to finish....

End game has 0 do with genre. What on earth are you talking about?
End game, is game to play once you "beat" the game.
In D3 you beat the game when you kill Inferno Diablo. After which, there is no end game.
You are saying, because Diablo is an ARPG, there is no endgame, or need for one?
Or farming items and selling them on the AH is an endgame?
Because that's not what Blizz said.
Ppl aren't asking for MMO content patches, we aren't asking for MMO rewards, we want a game with endgame.

Just got done playing emulator games and thought this was valid.
I just finished FFVIII completely, after you beat the game there's all this wicked endgame stuff.
That took quite sometime to complete, for shame diablo 3 , for shame.

We have the ilvl63 WoS, and the Buff Blue WoPride, its time peoiple shared those fantastically rare legendaries for the lolz.
I wish i'd thought of this before salvaging.
