posted a message on Class build that doesn't require tons of uniques?
So I've got a hankering for some D2 again, but everywhere I look, all of the guides are centered around almost completely unique-based gear. Are there any builds that work well WITHOUT tons of uniques? I'm looking for something that'll be able to solo Hell at least somewhat easily.

How much are these worth? Similar gloves on the AH are anywhere from 100mil to 500mil, but people tell me that asking for 300mil for them is way too overpriced.

you ask people for advice and then you retaliate with 'WOW wall of text".

Because your posts are giant walls of text with little spacing. Very hard to read.

    fine don't read my post

Where exactly did I say that I didn't read it?

as i said my budget barb is only 2m

my gear cost 9.9 million without the gems.

Is it 2 mil or "9.9" mil ?

    Quote from orangedrop
again you don't need 100m you just need to be wise with your purchases instead of buying low level legendaries.

...I'm not wearing any "low level legendaries".

again i am not saying oh WW is the best. its not

Then why does everyone else say it is?

    Whoa, holy textwall. =/

if u like this build then you should stick with it. ww will be better because of its very high mobility but you need to be able to sustain yourself. I dunno abt ur ww gear but if its more or less similar in terms of stat then I can see why you are dying so much. Your AR is damn low. and ww barb needs around 1400 LoH. and I can see you are a slow moving farmer because you don't even have sprint in your skill set.

I don't see how WW is "better" without spending 100m+ on gear. I tried WW in MP5 and got my ass handed to me while also doing significantly less DPS. Whereas with HotA build I just smash through everything with no problem.

the thing abt farming is u go for low mps for speed
go for higher mp just for keys and organs.

But in higher MP you get much more magic find...in MP6 I'm at like 260% magic find with 5 NV stacks. Unless it's REALLY better to farm lower MP with higher speed...?

So when I first hit 60 on my Barb, I was using a WW build and it was working great. However I found a 2H build, and that worked even better, so I went with that instead. So far, I can farm MP5/6 rather quickly and easily.

But still, I see people all around here saying "WW build is best" and such, but when I try my WW build/gear in MP5, mobs take forever to kill and elites kick my ass. Whereas with the 2H build, I just blow through everything, including elite packs, with no problems.

I only have 3 million gold after spending ~6mil on the gear you see here. And like I said, I plow through MP5/MP6 with no problems; smashing through everything with 600k+ HotA crits and using Rend to make myself almost invincible from all the life return. And really, that's all I want to do: Farm MP5/MP6 for items, I'm not too concerned about paragon leveling as fast as possible.

Which brings me to another question: Where exactly should I farm? I've been doing Act 1 because the mobs are generally a lot easier than the other acts; most of them just being plain melee mobs with no annoying abilities or mob traits.

So they're buffing damage for pretty much all classes? Woo! And giving us much better MF as well? Wonderful. I'll definitely start playing D3 again with this patch. :)

Yeah, I'd rather just go with a standard rubber case. I don't look at the back of my phone very often...nor have it in view to others very often.

Wondering how the hell that monk is tanking Act III mobs with 60% armor and 650 resists. My monk's got 75% armor and 800 resists, PLUS a 16% string of ears, and still gets raped in Act III.

posted a message on Another Act2 Inferno thread
So after a bit of gearing and changing my skills up a bit, I can now totally face-rape Act 1 on Inferno. All the normal mobs barely hit me for anything, and every single elite pack doesn't hit me very hard either. The elite packs that used to own me, I own them now. (esp. Disentombed Hulk) Pretty much all of Act 1 is really easy for me.

I had tried Act 2 before, and just got totally roflstomped by the VERY FIRST MOBS, dying six or seven times before getting even halfway through. That was before, and even now, when sitting at almost 600 all resist and 9200 armor, I still get hit really hard by normal mobs, and elite packs are unkillable without 5+ minutes of kiting.

Unbuffed stats (NOT including Keen Eye or Hard Target)

    Skills

With Keen Eye and Hard Target, I get up to ~9300 armor, bringing me to ~75% damage reduction.

Now, the only solution people seem to come up with is "oh, get more gear, get better gear", yeah, that's kinda hard when all the good gear is over 1,000,000 (usually more) for each piece. A weapon with 800 dps and 500 life on hit? 5 mil was the cheapest I could find. Amulets/rings with resistance as well as decent stats? Over 1mil as well. I don't have 10 million gold to buy all this gear.

So am I just stuck gold-farming for weeks in act 1 until I can buy all this ridiculously expensive gear, or what? I've tried Act 2 again and again, but I just can't do it. Normal mobs hitting as hard as act1 elites, and elites requiring 5+ minutes of kiting just to kill...
