I don't know if you're misunderstanding eDPS or something, but if you're only getting 2.5M eDPS out Arcane Torrent with 1.3M sheet DPS, something is wrong. I have a bit over 800K buffed DPS and I'm getting about 14.5M eDPS with straight Cascade cast and Ignite Magic Weapon buff.
Jaetch please, could you write me or tell me somehow how can I calculate my own eDPS? i have sheet dmg about 1,4m dps. But would like to know edps. Thanks in advance!
Basically, this OP is confused about the term eDPS. A popular way of calculating your eDPS is going to Ghom, checking how much HP he/she has, and then start attacking and see how many seconds it took for you to kill it. Then divide the HP with number of seconds it took, and you will know how much single-target DPS per second you did. Preferably, you want to do it with a pretty high HP on Ghom so it takes a longer time to kill, just to be sure that this is not just a big burst of DPS for 5 seconds, and then your DPS is way lower for the next minute. You should preferably spend time DPSing to at least the timer of your longest cooldown used.
Normally, this number will be way way higher than what it says on your sheet.
What the OP is doing is basically just multiplying their sheet DPS with +%element dmg and +%skill dmg. This value will rather be your "real sheet DPS", but not your effective DPS in a fight.
Also, measuring your DPS against multiple targets is a bit harder. It is so dependant on number of mobs, that I guess you will just have to play and see if your killing seems smooth or not when doing bounties, and then determine if it is high enough.
Yea, i know the "sheet" dps aint the really effective dps, but it still something people can "relate" to, to their own character, without looking too much into it, hence why i mentioned that, and not a ghom dps test :).
I'm running T5 grps and it's working absolutely majestic - My spec is 100% revolved around arcane damage, so Arcane Torrent + Archon, things are crazy.
On T4 Solo i kill elite packs within 5-10 seconds mostly, only using Arcane Torrent, and in Archon if they are stacked, about 3 seconds.

I find it really important to get a lot of arcane% dmg, and Arcane Torrent dmg, the numbers really amp up.

This is off topic but can you please tell me how you managed to farm 3 pieces of Asheara's set. I have been farming Ssthrass for 3 hours and have not had one drop. What torment did you use to kill Ssthrass on to get the legendary material needed for the set?
I will start the stream again tomorrow around 12-13 CET doing more Rifts and Bounties, trying to increase my gear and move up in Torment levels as soon as possible.

You realy want to spend real money on that plans? Gold is accountbound since patch 2.0. GL maybe some havin the plans laying around and dont need them.
