posted a message on Will Guild Wars 2 live up to expectations from Guild Wars 1?
I'm pretty much finished with Diablo 3 at this point and am looking for something else to play.
Guild Wars 1 was one of my favourite games of all time, so naturally I checked out the beta from pre-purchasing GW2.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed, but I remember GW1 taking some time to grow on me.
    What do you guys think?

This is my commentary of GW2 beta.

    Will NCSoft destroy GW franchise?

    Guild Wars 2 August 28th.

I'm pretty sure you will be disappointed by pre-purchase beta because its not polished yet. But once its done, will be awesome if its anything like the first one. Here is my gameplay commentary.

I made this guide for Wizards, but you can use some of the tricks that all ranged classes can take advantage of like

    - Ballista spots for free elite kills
    - Laming mobs through portal and taking no hits

Vs Mortar Minions: Run 90 degrees to attack, to dodge, hit and run 90 degrees, repeat
Vs Fireballing Chasers: Run in serpentine/zigzag formation
    Vs Invulnerable/Shielding Minions: Portal lame
Vs Too hard monsters: Skip or Portal lame or Ballista chokepoint
Vs Herald of Pestilance or Quills: Shoot from off screen or Missile Seeker behind doorway
Vs Reflect Damage: Items with +300 hp per hit will help a lot, if not, use crystal armor when pumping out dps
Not enough valors or too many skipped monsters, check The Keeps level 1 waypoint, use portal to level 2
    For everything else: portaling

Diablo 3 Inferno Farming Act 3 elites n Siegebreaker

Do this run for potential drops of good 1handers

27k Dps (33k with Magic Weapon)
    34k Hp

    http://youtu.be/i9nLZzh3IBk

    1. Go to Rakki's Crossing and grab Tyrael
    2. Clear path to Siege Breaker

    6. If no 5 valor, check The Keeps lvl 1, if none, check lvl 2
    7. When 5 valor, kill Siegebreaker

For extra MF in non-combat chests/racks, use Wirt's original leg for extra ~10% mf.

posted a message on Inferno Act 1 Goldfarming visuals + Tips on getting Gold Find gear
Hey guys, I made a visual guide for Goldfarming and getting Gold farming gear.

Great for if you don't have much time to farm or if you just entered Inferno, can't kill elites and need money for new gear.

Average of 4.5k every minute, may range from 2k-7k. Comes out to 270k/hour with two people, 225k/hour solo.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfVVYbZl9hc

***One update to this is the use of Ice Armor - Frozen Storm.***

Breaking Jars at The Royal Crypts, you and a friend take a side each break jars and pick up the gold on your partner's side. Right side will take a bit longer to do.

Tips on How to buy Gold Find gear at 2:32
You can buy most pieces for for 3k and under.

    Wizard

    Electrocute - Forked Lightning
    Arcane Orb - Celestial Orb
    Frost Nova - Cold Snap
    Teleport - Wormhole
    Ice Armor - Frozen Storm
    Diamond Skin - Crystal Shell

I'm not sure about whether all skills are relevant in the below builds, I just wrote down quickly what skills my buddies had.

    Demon Hunter

    Hungering Arrow - Cider Arrow
    Elemental Arrow - Ball Lightning
    Caltrops - Torturous Ground
    Smoke Screen - Breathe Deep
    Vault - Tumble
Rain of Vengeance - Dark Cloud

    Quote from Zubacz

Hehe, of course not. I had zero regen. It wasnt constant, just periodic, every half a minute or so. The only explanation I could think of recently, is that hydra actually does work with Life Steal, just gives the life back after it's duration is over. I will have to test this.

Edit: Mystery solved by rayraytime, on the other thead. Apparently the expiration of the hydra triggers the health after death hp gain.

That is pretty awesome!! Looks like I'll be saving costs on potions from now on.

Nice guides:) Thanks for posting these, especially Izual, since I don't think a wizard guide for this is up yet. It's impressive you are able to do Inferno with 27k. I had serious problems before I got to about 35k even in act 3, and 38k to down Diablo.
Just a question. As I wrote in my little guide, I seemed to had been gaining small amouts of health from an unknown source when I was very low on hp during the Rakanoth fight. I basically did the same as you, but when I was waiting for the jump I was gaining health every half a minute or so. It wasn't regen. I had to get up to 60k hp for that fight, just to counteract that curious thing. Any idea what might have caused that?

I actually responded to your other post about it lol. Did you have galvanizing ward on?

hope they dont fix this rakanoth strategy in the near future.
as a wiz those 2 adds are the most annoing in the whole game, putting them in a boss encounter is just ridiculous.

I know right? Some people suggested frost nova and incinerate them quickly, I definitely didn't have the gear for that to be a consideration.

posted a message on Guides for Iskantu, Rakanoth and Izual Inferno Solo (Post Nerf)
I was having a bit of trouble with some of these bosses especially with public groups, so I ended up soloing them. Hope this helps, let me know if there are any other videos you'd like to see.

    Iskantu
    http://youtu.be/4ybedZdXoaI

This is just the general kiting strategy with some escapes/delays applied to Iskantu. Use Teleport/Diamond Skin to buy time (tank/divert hits) before casting Blizzard and Hydra.
8% movement speed boots were used, this will help a lot in outrunning the minions.

    Skills:
    Teleport - Fracture
    Diamond Skin - Crystal Shell
    Energy Armor - Force Armor
    Magic Weapon - Venom
    Hydra - Venom Hydra
    Blizzard - Unrelenting Storm

Passives (I forget) - Probably Evocation, Cold Blooded, Glass Cannon

    Rakanoth
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwdhOADelWg

    Followed the build from Wups
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5235707329#9

    To beat Rakanoth,

    1) You need to take advantage of Familiar with Ancient Guardian which blocks a hit for you if you're under 35% hp.

    2) To keep yourself below 35% hp, take off all your Vit gear, leave the game, then put it back on in new game. You get back some of your hp if you don't leave. Replace all your health regen gear. If they're on, they might put you back above 35% hp.

    3) Stay out of his view, so he teleports to you. When he appears, drop a hydra and run away with your speed boost from Storm armor and teleport with wormhole if you can.

    4) If he starts moving into your screen, you need to get out of his view or he will summon his minions.

    Skills:
    Hydra - Venom Hydra
    Arcane Orb - Obliteration

    Teleport - Wormhole
    Storm Armor - Scramble
    Familiar - Ancient Guardian
    Magic Weapon - Venom

Passives: Evocation, Glass Cannon, Cold Blooded
FYI - Cold Blooded served no purpose, I just forgot to change it out.

    Izual
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWITZM0WxTA

The main problems with this boss are when they charge you and the mob aggro.

    1) Charges: to negate the charges, stay as far away as possible or have a pit/unwalkable terrain between you and the boss/minions. Use illusions to make the floating guys charge away from your direction.

    2) Mobs: stay at the edge of the map where the monsters are less likely to spawn on you. Try to lure the monsters to your allies, they can do significant damage and tank for you. Use shields and teleport generously, especially with non-boss mobs... it is likely they will catch you at some point. Never getting hit by Izual is the priority though, when he hits, game over....at least with my 27k hp.

Start off slowing and damaging Izual with a small pit, since it is pretty easy to do. Blizzard 2 ends of the pit to slow him enough such that he'll never catch up, I wore 8% movement speed boots for this video.

At 75%, the first minions will come, try to stay at the edges of the map where Tyrael is likely to draw aggro, use escape skills to lose them. Now start making a big circle around the map to draw least aggro and keep a full screen from Izual.

At around 33% hp, the floating minions will spawn. Focus on running/dodging. Tyrael will take care of them and eventually you will be in good enough position to kill them behind pits or not at all. I'm not sure if they disappear or Tyrael kills them since they weren't in view when I did my run.
