All these options seems so barbaric to me. Where I am from, criminals are given a roof over their head and even a magical worldviewer in a cube, so they will not be bored.

Kego, go to your options > gameplay > check "Elective mode" and go look at your spells window again :)

Edit: important note, make sure to uncheck it again after arranging your skills. This will not reset anything you just set up, but prevent you from accidentally dragging a spell from your skills bar and thus removing all your valor stacks. Many have cried over that before you (and by crying, I don't mean complaining, but genuine sadness:( ).

Good. I wasn't the only one getting that feeling. Handfull of runs and not a single spawn, whereas before it was > 50%.

Just watched "Bad ass" with Danny Trejo. It's an entertaining low budget flick, so don't expect great storylines and stunning dialogues. Sit back, grab a snack and watch him walk through town in a T-shirt that says "I am a Motherfucker" and do his thing.

On my monk I do it with 15k base and we dont have berserker or stuff like that. Just Fist of Thunder ad infinitum.

However, I have the gear, and monks in general, the skills to eat his fist slams. I don't know how your gear is and how good barbs are at it, but if you cán soak his punches, you could try that. But you need something fairly spammable as a defensive thing, I suppose (mantra in monk's case)

I'm going to take the liberty to respond to that 30% issue - I can imagine when people say it is "more than 30%" extra damage, they mean the "effective in combat increase". I.e.: not 30% to your paperdoll in-town dps, but with Blazing Wrath, and perhaps Overawe and foresight too.

In that case 30% over 10k might not seem much, but 10k*1.15*1.48 = 17k. 30% extra from 17k is an extra 5k dps as opposed to 3k. I think that is what people refer to. In which case, you and Thaya are both completely correct and its a matter of semantics and not mathematics.

Just my $0.02 and if I've spoken before my turn, my apologies :)

PS: did the percentages from the top off my head, please feel free to correct me where wrong (assuming the 3sec Overawe buff).

Edit: also, I didn't read *everything* but that is what I got from glancing over the argument.

Well it gives 30% added overall damage if it gets increased by blazing wrath overawe and everything else of course. if it didn't it would be less than 30% overall since 3k extra to 17k to use your example wouldn't be a 30% increase. one thing i can think of is that the extra holy damage is calculated with passive dmg increases like blazing wrath factored in, but these increases are applied again to that damage when it's dealt, which would be a bug of course.

Might both mean the same, but for the sake of clarity; what I meant was that people "the player following a guide's advice" might be underestimating the power of FinL by merely adding 30% to that UB paperdoll dps. As you say, 30% buffed would be more than 3k, but rather around 5k. For the..uhm..."numerical inclined" this might be as obvious as having to breath, but I can imagine for others it's not so obvious at first sight, hence it being "better than it looks", since you (realisticly) always change your runes in an UB state in town.

Also, as a monk, I totally objectively recommend playing a monk :D Have a level 60 WD myself and I really missed the mobility and survival of the monk. Also - dual wielding axes and teleporting punches to faces.. I mean...come on!

Good thing you had that crowd control reducing amulet with ya, mate! Welcome back to the rest of us :)

Regarding the digital copy - I've had to wait about 15 mins, other people half a day or so. Overall, I haven't heard of anything more than 12 hours or so, and that was during the first 48 hours post-release. So you should be all set soon. (That was in the Netherlands, so perhaps our payment providers differ, but nevertheless)

    [EU Realm]

    Hi Folks,

Been frequenting diablofans for quite a few months now. At first to satisfy my Diablo 3 thirst and now for all the front page news, and even more so the great and informational forum posts.

I'll admit right off the bat, that I'm not that much of a hardcore D2 player, since I mostly played WoW in the past. Since that got, for my taste, turned into a steaming pile of Unburied guts, I have been looking forward to D3.

Since I got laid off last month, I'm an unemployed bum with too much free time. I've gotten my Monk into Act 2 inferno so far, after switching from my level 48 Barbarian.

I will be mostly posting in the trading forum to gauge prices on stuff and perhaps make some great trades with the people here.

Also, I have a Whimsyshire Inferno staff and as a "Hi!" thing, I'll gladly take you on a run through if you want. I personally can't handle Infernoshire (got dibs on the name!) yet, so you will have to be pretty well geared (Act4 would be my guess) to kick butt there. I can solo 2-man Hell though, so that won't be a problem.

Leave your tag here and I'll give you an in-game shout when I'm around. Be patient though :) (also, people with < 10 posts won't be considered, as I don't want people to just "scam" their way to a free run).

No idea what would be the best way to go about doing it, but just /w me in-game and see when I'm online. I don't have a lot of moments where I'll be available, but just give me a shout. If you could handle the inferno version I will gladly run a few rounds with you as well. Yup. you'd be boosting me for gear!

Well, time to make my first post in the trade forum and perhaps I'll see you in fruitcake land!

    Cheerios!
    Raven
