    posted a message on WTS Better than IK chest? 150 vit / 100 str / 75 AR / 12% life / socket / 13% mf
Imgur is acting up, so can't upload the image yet, but here are the exact stats:

    Archon Chest
    404 armor
    98 str
    60 int
    150 vit
    75 all res
    12% life
    13% mf
    1 Socket

I'm a bit unsure on the price to ask, so this is as much a pricecheck as an "open bid" thread. I would say it's a lot better than IK, save for missing the IK set bonus. Ton of life and MF on top of it :)

Also, if I'm being delusional, I'd love to hear it as well! haha.

    Cheerios and thanks :)

PS: If you are genuinly interested I can link it to you in-game to compare the stats for you if you want.

posted a message on Can GeForce 640M handle diablo 3?
I play on a 2012 MacMini with 2GB RAM (1 memorybank is broken) and itś the cheap-ass base model, so only Intel HD3000 or something and the i5. I play perfectly fine on a FullHD 24" display.

Yes, I have to turn off other applications to increase the experience
No, It's not at native resolution
Yes, it is perfectly playable. I've clocked in many hours in Act 3 on both my Monk up to 1.0.3 or something and my Barbarian in 1.0.4. Played as whirlwind for a while without much trouble and lately I've played a somewhat slower paced spec.

You will get the occasional freezes when the game leads to another area, but that varies quite a bit. So, is it playable if you just want a mac and not shell out a ton of cash? Yes, absolutely. My machine is mostly for development, so I went with the cheapest lowest-end one there was. I play the game recreationally (as in...casual, nothing competetive of any nature whatsoever) and I'm perfectly content with what it offers to get my daily fix.

If you want to play in native FullHD, forget it. It'll be winter in hell first.

Edit: Oh, and since it's a "current" thing - I have no trouble whatsoever farming Uber keys and doing the Uber realms. at. all. Just thought I'd explicitly add that :)

Edit 2: Sorry, overlooked that you asked for playing at high settings. 1 AM here and multitasking (no, work, you pervs!). Maybe the above is still helpfull to someone else.

    Quote from PillsPillsPills

The haters scream fake because they are jealous. With the number of rolls of rares per day, we are bound to get some that are near perfect. The fact that humans exist is a much rarer occurrence, and we aren't fake...or are we...?

It's more a matter of the probability of somebody trolling on the internet vs such an item dropping. But I don't really see anything in the screenshot that suggests "Photoshop", and like gurg0 said, it *is* possible.

I don't know how the naming system works in Diablo for items (and I'd love to read more about it, actually), but this is what Google comes up with for that item name.

No idea if that is any indication on the fake-factor of the OP though, just found it interesting.

Is the massive rubberbanding I experience with the spec also related? It's getting pretty darn aggravating to keep being teleported back in the middle of a desecrate to be quite honest.

Ahhh, right. Didn't know anybody cared about those, hehe. Sorry, no idea. All I know is that post 1.0.5 (soon) inferno will be ilevel58+. Other than that, no idea :)

From the 1.0.3 patch notes (as you probably know this will change with the upcoming .5 patch):

Edit: As was pointed out below, the droprates changed later, so these are the new (actual) droprates. Thanks for pointing the error (which Blizzard should make a bit easier to find, quite frankly).

The new approximate drop rates are as follows:
    • Hell – Act III and Act IV
      • iLvl 61: 13.9%, up from 9%
      • iLvl 62: 3.45%, up from 1.9%
      • iLvl 63: 0% (no change)
    • Inferno – Act I
      • iLvl 61: 23.9%, up from 17.7%
      • iLvl 62: 12.6%, up from 7.9%
      • iLvl 63: 4.8%, up from 2.0%
    • Inferno – Act II
      • iLvl 61: 23.3%, up from 18.6%
      • iLvl 62: 18.6%, up from 12.4%
      • iLvl 63: 9.3%, up from 4.1%
    • Inferno – Act III and Act IV
      • iLvl 61: 27.1%, up from 24.1%
      • iLvl 62: 21.7%, up from 16.1%
      • iLvl 63: 16.3%, up from 8.0%

I would suspect that by "no major problems with balance" he means "it was not considered an issue". At least that's how I read it in context. (not voting since I haven't played in quite a long time but still find it fun to peek around sometimes :) )

posted a message on Memory reading tool ban?
Wouldn't it be safer to pass your network traffic through another computer and do some examining on the downstream data? Since you only want to alert on certain drops? After all, it gets through there first before going into your memory. That way you can't be detected.

Also, it is a bit less "grey area", since any modification you do to that datastream will (or well...cán technically) be immediately detected and will thus result in a ban. Considering they are a bit slacking on the "legendary drop alert" I think this is "acceptable grey area", but I'm probably pushing it here ;)

As to how? I'd start Googling for Linux-based network diagnostics/monitoring tools with "pass through" or something. (This last line is pure guesswork btw)

    edit: grammarfails.
