Jun 2, 2012For passive I use Glass cannon, Astral presence and Galvanizing Ward (for the hp reg).. Sometimes you die, that's just how it is being in Inferno :). I find Archon very good. Can burst down big packs, and some combinations of champions/rares can be nuked down in less than 10-12sec with Archon.. Prefer that more than hydra, blizzard etc.
When I killed Siegebreaker I switched Archon with Teleport, and crystal armor with venom hydra.. Since 1 hit from him would kill you no matter if you have Force armor AND DS activated..
I have a slow 2H weapon with 1216 damage (0.90 speed), so I've been stacking quite a lot IAS (neck, rings, gloves).. In general it's not good since it uses all your arcane power quickly (when spamming arcane orbs), but when you're kiting it's better to be able to shoot 2 orbs, rather than 1.. Also using Magic missile (with seeker) a LOT. You can stand at max range and hit them, sometimes without aggroing them (dunno if it's a bug?!)
Hope this helps with your progress.. Act 3 is all about dodging .. I die pretty much with 1 hit, so just stand max range and nuke the crap out of them
EDIT: Been experimenting with Energy Armor with 5% crit (gives you roughly 2K more damage), since force armor is shit in inferno act 3+

I now only use full damage, so running around dodging everything with 58K damage, 22K life and whatever armor/resistance I have.
Act 3 and 4 is just 1-hit -> death as the ranged classes, and I think it's pretty much intended like that.. I'm quite succesful kiting and spamming damage against champion/rare packs. Can beat around 2/3 of all packs I meet with these stats.
I'd suggest you forget about the survival gear and go full damage + practice dodging ranged attacks from monsters ^^..
I can post my build if you'd like.. It has brought me solo from A1 to A3 (atm at Ancient Crater level 1, right after Siegebreaker).

Have around 30k HP and 50.7K Damage.. Get a templar (if you solo) and start spamming arcane orbs from full range -> kite -> get some shots in and they'll die quick.. Even in act 3

Act 1 im using electrocute (6 hit rune) and changing the arcane power passive skill with Paralysis... Since Act 1 is EZ mode
