Hi there! I was running a measly 17% block with a dread shield all through act 3 and 4 with not too many problems. I've noticed a lot of barbs on the forums going nuts about block but I personally don't see it as mandatory to clear the content. For the time being I'm mainly using the shield as a huge stat stick. You can find fairly cheap ones with say.. 14% block/60 res/60vit/12% life and maybe even some other goodies like str.
Anyway, don't give up! From the looks of your stats you are getting close. I think I was farming siegebreaker with very similar stats. My resists were slightly higher and I had about 1000 life per second (with inspiring) instead of the life on hit you have. Perhaps this was what made the difference. This was me running a super defensive build though, I was no stranger to enrage timers.
I sort of went for this build because I found I was running around vs champs much more than I was hitting and you know what life on hit only works if you hit. It has worked very well for me so far, I've bumped my life per sec up since then and added some LOH to it and its going great.
Hi, I'm not 100% certain but I think my +poison damage wep is doing half damage on plague affix champs. Perhaps other elements do less to arcane/molten/frozen etc? Hopefully someone can confirm this =p
Greetings! My best advice for you is to increase your HP. Probably a good idea to replace both rings, you're right on the money with the helm socket and ammy as well.
-I would probably do a Vit/aspd ring in one and a Vit/Res ring.
-A 180+ Vit/Str or Res(if you can afford) ammy would probably do you good too. The life on hit is great but i have a feeling you are dying because you are being burst down, LOH is not really gonna help you there.
-A blue belt with 100Vit 80Res would run you about 500k.
This should bring you to a fairly high Res pool and greatly increase your HP while maintaining your damage. After this i would look into working on increasing the Vit on your gear without losing too much Res or maintaining it for that matter. Hopefully this will get you into Act 3.
With regards to your build it looks fine, every1 has a different playstyle they are comfortable with. I personally like the feel of ignore pain(+2sec duration) instead of threatening shout. It gives me that extra burst survivablity and much needed uptime on champs.
Oh and don't feel like you need to get Stormshield/String of Ears/Helm of command and what not. I can fairly comfortably run Act 3/4 with 5 neph without any of those. Feel free to PM me for any other advice. Hope i was helpful.
Hello fellow barbarians! I'm currently having some trouble with champ mobs in the beginning of Act 4 Inferno. Running it with a DH makes it easy but i have difficulty doing it solo.
To give a little perspective about the trouble I'm having, this is pretty much what happens:
Engage elite with leap, ignore pain soon after, charge for a heal, leap again and pretty much after that I'm running away until ignore pain is up again. I rarely die straight up, tends to be me hanging on low hp that i cant get back up and then I'm gone. That or they enrage =p which tends to happen vs shielding/extra hp mobs.
I find that i have little to no time to stand and frenzy attack any decent affix combination due to taking too much damage from X,Y,Z on the ground around the champ. hence i opted to try out a life regen build as i am running around alot.
I'm thinking of either getting more dps in general, or a decent weapon with LOH, a mid-range Stormshield, or a well rolled String of Ears. Would love to be able to afford all once but I could probably only afford a piece a week at my current rate. Oh and maybe my skill build needs a tweak.
