exactly. i was in beta. it ended with killing skeleton king in normal and capped you at level 13. so nothing beyond that was really beta tested. which is just plain stupid.
it's like if the WoW beta let you gain 1 level and test the new starting zone for a few months and then blizz says "ok it's obviously ready, since we fixed the bugs these beta testers have found, ship it".
they know better than this, since they don't do it with WoW, and they didn't do it with sc2. i don't know what the hell is wrong with the diablo department...

#4 as is does hurt normal players.
if i swap to a shield for defense against an elite pack i see that looks like trouble, it will make my MF 0% and i will have to wait 3 minutes to engage them with my normal MF%

well, sweeping winds is more of a passive aoe, that's what i was going for.
i can't think of a good mage example, maybe the ice shield that does 100% weapon dmg to attackers?
life steal should give a heal from that whereas life on hit shouldn't because you didn't "hit" them.
i don't know if it works that way, but that seems to me to be blizzard's intent and reasoning.
i just use loh

0.6% of 40,000 is pretty shabby.
like 240?
that's on the 40k crits, so 120ish normally.
