posted a message on Viable and fun build for GR <50 Need feedback!

    Hi there

I have been playing a fun build for my barbarian. This is what it looks like:

    build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#ShkRPc!ZYbj!ZbccZZ

    armory: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/helio-2127/hero/59837036

    I use:

Items: F+R for max dmg, no rrog

    Set: BK weapons, 6WW

Gems: Painenhancer, Taeguk, Bane of the Trapped

    Build:

I use furious charge to trigger F+R with WW of course. This is extremely fun and efficient as you can charge into groups of mobs directly and using rend and WW afterwards for max F+R dmg. Lot of people use Bash or Frenzy, which makes you have to stop moving. Furious charge keeps you going here and it helps a lot to get fury. Lets not forget about the stun of Furious Charge, and u can use it with almoost no CD among enough mobs.

After I charge I use Rend-Bloodlust (0.5% of your max life per sec for each enemy), which helps to keep you up while you have enough mobs available.

Passiv: Ruthless(dmg), Weapon Master(fury), Nerves of Steel (live!), Rampage (dmg), which I think work well together in terms of having enough fury and staying alive.

This isnt supposed to be a build guide. I just havent seen any guide which is like this build and I am surprised how well it works. This is rather a "fun and efficient" build for Grift <50. I managed to kill GR47 and I think I can do 48.

However I am asking you for feedback:

What could I change in my build/items to go higher GR? My biggest problem isnt my dmg, it's rather hard for me to stay alive due to not using Ignor Pain w/ its belt.

I woud love to hear some feedback. Please dont be mean, I am just a d3 player who likes the fun :)

    Thanks you guys

Hello, i have problem with diablo, my specs : i7 5820k, gtx 760 oc, ddr 4 2133, MSI X99s Sli plus.

It's realy annoying, without v-sync i have screen-tearing, with sync on, i have drops fps from 60 to 50/40 and it's feeling like 1ms freeze, lag. Without control fps in game options, i have ~300fps where i'm standig, when i'm move, fight, it's drops to 180/160 and these drops causes this freeze/lag .I've tried everything, change saund to 16-bit, v-sync off/on, change driver version, I have problem only with diablo, other games works fine. Sorry for my english. Please for help.

Well, 2.2 brought some new Problems I guess :)

    I really dunno your case.

What might help: reset your Nvidia Settings to Default.

Try to Limit your foreground FPS to your Monitor max rate. (having more FPS than Monitors MHz, dont make sense anyway!)

Get the newest Driver for ur Videocard (duh)

I guess the rest is up to Blizzard. Good luck

I basically have the same specs as you Zio, except Intel I7 not amd platform i will be trying a few things once i get off Work today and i will let you know what i find out!

    Hey! Oh ok. Ty

I will make the last tests today (change cpu cooler and reset my memorys frequency),

If i got something new, i will let u know.

    @Edit
I've made it and don't got any results! :>
The only thing that i got, was my ssd conector broken LOL...

The Problem is not your CPU cooler, it's the fact that there is mostly only one CPU being used to calculate the Sound channels, therefore it will heat up like hell, the rest of the CPUs are rather cool. This is not your PCs Problem.

Hi@all, Im glad that it worked for the most of you! Please Keep in mind, that this Tweak might not work for everybody.

The Problem that affects the most would be the Sound channels. Reason to this is, that the CPU only uses 1-3 hyperthreading, instead of using all CPUs for the Sound. Lowering the channels will kill some Sound Quality, but enhance over all gameplay.

(u can check this while u alt/tab during gameplay and u will see only see 1-3 high CPU performance, rest ist low)

Trilinear filtering and HardwareClass will lower a bit the graphics, yet enhance over all gameplay :)

@ZioNNN, if nothing help you increase FPS, try to completely reset you Nvidia Experience Settings to Default, using the tweaks above. And dont worry about ur CPU heating up. While only one hyperthread is being used to calculated the Sound channels, it will heat up like hell, res of the CPUs stay rather cool. It's more of a D3 Problem than your PC.

I did fix my stuttering a long time ago by dropping the audio channels to 16 from the ingame menu. Problem is some of the sound won't play anymore or they'll just get chopped off.

The stutters only happen in rakkis area and a few others due to how they handled sound (no idea what they did) but yeah.

Guess it depends if you rather have all the sound playing properly or way less stutters in those particular areas.
True. The problem is moslty baed on the sound channels. I do notice some drop in sound quality when setting it to 16. However I rather have no lags than the best sound. Hopefully this will get fixed with 2.1 by blizzard.

@globeree: glad to hear that this also worked for you!

posted a message on FPS drops? Lag spikes? Stuttering? SOLUTION here! WORKS!
    Hi all

Ive been through all kinds of solutions for the FPS drop during gameplay. None of them worked until I found the following solution. This is happening to many players as we can see. This issue only involves multiplayer, especially when 4 players encounter a lot of mobs.

Blizz has no solution but I give it a good try:

    Head over to this location:
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Documents\Diablo III

Open up D3Prefs.txt in a text editor and modify the following highlighted options to match the image.

    source: http://www.fixmylag.com/diablo3-lag-latency-ping

This SOLVED THE MAIN PROBLEM for ME! I won't go through all other possible tweaks - as there are too many (which dont work ;-)).

Before changing this I had FPs DROPs DOWN TO 15-20, now I DO NOT DROP BELOW 50FPS! When shit hits the fan with crazyness going on I might drop to 40ish. If nothing crazy is going I play at a constant 80-100 + - FPS during 4 player and casting.

    My System:

    Asus GTX 780 ti

    i7 4790 @3.6GHz

    16GB Ram

    D3 on SSD

    BenQ XL2420z Screen @120Hz

    SETTINGS:

V-Sync OFF, other settings dont really matter I suppose. I did limit the FPS in fore- and background to 120/50. Rest on max quality.
No NVidia tweaks. All on performance - as your PC settings dont really matter - the problem lies within the corrupted D3 settings/programings.

Try this and let me know please! GL

posted a message on Do you mostly play solo or in a group?
    Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if you mostly play solo or if you play in a group. Playing with clan members or friends is also considered group play in the poll.

I am just really curious, cos I personally do not play solo, only when I farm materials of course - so only when I "have to" play solo.

Farming gear, leveling, etc. I only play in group. Mostly public and also with friends.

I just kinda think this game was made to play with other people, so I dont really have fun playing alone.

    Please let me know :)

OMG I just got a Cindercoat from Kadala with about 250 shards. This was meant to be :D The reduction is insane! I can drop 5 Meteors to empty AP.

Just need to reroll the life%

I got 50% crit chance w/out the energy armor. If you calculate the inflagration crit bonus, I think I crit enough that way. 'corse it's nice to see numbers go up, but it shouldnt fck up ur play style. So I'd rather dump 5%crit and have enough AP.

Prismatic is also nice for higher torments. I'd say torment3 +. after I get cindercoat it might still be a possibility to drop the AP and use energyarmor.

For now that my AP costs are just too high (with no reduction) I cannot dump any of it.

@Helycon: What would you suggest: I rolled 3APOC on my offhand. Is it worth it or should I rather reroll to something better and have 0 APOC with Meteor? (It's 0.067 for Meteor Shower, you stated)

The only way to get more AP on crit is a Wizard Hat. Frankly, I think there isn't an amazing one out there, which makes looking for one a waste of time.

Also, Meteor has a very low coefficient, making APoC pretty much useless. It's 0.067 for Meteor Shower. I would suggest going for resource cost reduction, which will make you able to cast more meteors to start with. Regen is easiest to gain with the Tal's 3-piece. But that's not as easy to obtain as you might want. I actually think that's one of the biggest issues with meteor at this point: they are VERY expensive to cast for seomthing that has a high chance of missing the target and not doing any damage at all. They are pretty cool, however ;)
That's kinda what I thought. So I get a Cindercoat for reduction and I guess I should be fine with the Arcane Power. I did change my skills according to "Attitude". So I dumped Archon and Teleport for Sparkflint and 5%CritEnergyArmor. I then noticed that cos of the EnergyArmor I lost quite some Arcane Power which I didnt like. I could only cast 3 Meteors and I was empty. So I changed back the EnergyArmor to my Teleport, which is awesome once u get sucked into a grp of Elites - without teleport there is no escaspe-skill.
BTW I really like that build. Im not just all about numbers and best skill and best items. I also play for fun and that build is just a hell of a fun!

Helicon and Attidue thank you guys a lot for the honest help!
I did fck up a lot at first, rerolling my first legendaries (I rerolled 2nd). I didnt know back then.

I will definitely consider the rest you wrote. The things I can still reroll and change. I will also definitely get a Cindercoat first at Kadala!

Thanks again! BTW I play Torment I-III max

p.s.@Helicon: (3. I reckon he's stuck on the fact that rings cost a fortune to reroll. Gems are just expensive.) I can still reroll. got enough gems and gold.

I'm having a hard time finding the right slot to roll for. I dunno which item I wear is reallly crappy (actually all of them, but which one the worst? ;)

I play Meteor Fire Mage / Archon, wouldnt wanna change.

Could anyone help me out and tell me what slot I should get next?

What i just got on Conflagration is: First hit that has a fire damage portion will only apply the debuff. Subsequent hits will benefit from the increased crit chance.

Any fire damage you deal (including fire Hydra) applies the debuff, no connection to proc coefficients.

No visual indicator! The burning effect you see is just the fire damage, not the Conflagration debuff.

Does Ignite trigger Conflagration on the mobs?

Would be really interesting how exactly the mechanics work here.
