They may use the same functions as they already have. Although they may change it to where they have different channels, such as party, guild, raid, and general. That way they can keep things organized. Although you can use ventrillo or other headphone programs that allow you to talk to one another on a server you set up.

Maybe not exactly like Warcraft graphics. Yes they were a bit cartoonish and lacking in depth. However, they were also efficient. You do not want to make the graphics of any game so massive and in-depth, that the graphic overcome the computer and game play of said game. So when you talk about graphics you have to look at multiple factors.
Graphic Cards – Are they so “amazing” that the graphic cards on the market today can’t handle them?
Time – Will the time spent on the graphics be worth the time admiring them? Are the graphics and textures seen through out the dungeons and towns too immense that you have to have a loading screen every place you go?
Efficiency – Do they fulfill their purpose, yet still provide and in-depth, real life look and feel to the environment and players?

I agree with Phrozen. Looting other peoples corpses would probably not be the best way to go.

I guess when you look at it some of the most successful games have been in 2D almost 3D. However, we need to look at the technology race of today. The PS3, X Box 360, and your basic top of the line PC. All these platforms have constructed the empire on graphics and gameplay. Now taking into account the fact that you might not need good graphics if you have exciting, adrenaline pumping gameplay, this is what Diablo 2 LoD had. However, the market today looks at more then just mere gameplay. The graphics of Diablo 2 were fun but I think it is time that we step it up a notch. I think that if we could take the gameplay of Diablo 2 and put it in pulse pounding, mind blowing 3D graphics, we could blow all the other 3D MMORPGs right out of the water.
Of course this is just my thought.

I have been contemplating this for some time. When you look at the graphics of Diablo 2 you notice a certain sense of "old school" about them. The fact that it is almost bird's eye view but at the same time it isn't. I believe that to stimulate the senses of the new generation of gamers we need to up the playing field. We need to bring in a whole new line of graphics.
Now I use to play World of Warcraft before I got bored of it and because it got to complicated to enjoy. But I did love the graphics that were used. So I would have to say that the graphics of World of Warcraft would be a good way to go.

I may have to print that out and post it on my locker door.

I guess there really isn't that much to say. I've been a player of Diablo II Lord of Destruction for about 3-4 years. I did have a lot of upper lvl characters but my account stopped so I had to make a new one, just recently. Anyway, I have been looking for a place I can get up to date info on Diablo III. I came across this forum and thought it would be cool. I guess I could hang here for a while. Hope I get to know some of you guys too.
