Search 1h weap with over 150 int and get the best one you can with 1.40 or higher IAS. That's how I do weapons and I have 75k base dps. I value 100 int on a weapon more than 200 dps. So I'd take an 800 with 200 int over a plain 1200
much more interesting that i have 500 int less than you but exact the same dps! int on weapon is totally overrated! look for a 1.6++ wep with at best a socket & optional ADDITIONAL critdmg!
i second that,
obviously what i say is heavily influenced by other stats you have on rest of y our gear, as crit chance or intelect, but in my own case basing on spreadsheet calculation if i switched my weapon that has 60% crit dmg and 60% crit dmg socket into weapon that has 200 intelect on it, i would loose 4k dmg.
Imo find something with additional crit dmg + socket and fit nicely developed crit dmg gem into it. Intelect on weapon is a nice bonus, but not gamebreaking
Immagine me with a 1100 dps 1h with 90 %+ crit hit damage and possibly a socket for another 70 %+.
That's 120000 dps+.
If you cannot afford to get crit+crithitdmg+attackspeed+int on the pieces that allow it. Do this:
Neck: Crit, crit hit dmg, int
Gloves: Crit, crit hit dmg, int
Rings, Crit hit dmg, attackspeed, int
This is because rings can roll more attackspeed than crit (value is approx 2:1 while crit rolls to like 4 on rings and attackspeed like 17), while gloves and necks can roll so much more crit compared to max attackspeed. With approx 230 % crit hit damaage 1 crit is better than 2 ias. It would be 200 % if attackspeed didnt benefit the offhand so much.
Thats good to know. I have some good Atack Speed Gear, Like, Boj Anglers, Lacuni, Visage and Tal rasha chest. They all have Atack speed on it. My weapon has almost 1k DPS and 100 int on it, and offhand near 280 dmg, 180 int, 6.5% crit. I do have like 1600 int, but my dps is just 55k.
I'm very interested on your stats, your DPS is huge, and you don't have that much atack speed (I have around 3.18).
Do you mind to show pics of your actual gear, so I can compare to mine and maybe change it? This way I could sell my gear and buy some with more Crit/Crit Dmg.
Also would be nice if you play at US and could add me so we can talk ingame.
Thanks for all the replies. Tried today, just like 2 or 3 tries, just had 15 minutes, and already got him to phase 2 and took like 50% of his hp at phase 2 as well.
So the fight is possible, doesn't seem that hard, all I need is a low ping.
Looks like that phase 2 is the big problem. Phase 1/3 looks OK.
Lol I'm actually like 30 mins away from finishing the uploading of my diablo solo kill video with WD. I did a tutorial that explains how to do the fight and all the tricks you need to know. Did it with 40k ish DPS and 32k health, stay tuned.

Don't believe so. I've had everything cleared up to him for a while. Been farming DPS gear. Up to 71k. I think ima try again at like 85k or so. (71k being without Totem or Soul Harvest, just including Pierce the Veil)
That's a very high DPS, mind to show/tell me how is your gear? With an SS or something. I have some good gear, but only 50k dps.
For act I, everything seems to be working as long as you as you can stack up some decent gear 60. Not even really need resist gears, VQ builds are working fine, just like other much standard/defensive builds.
In the act II, i have hit a wall before I read the great thread by Naught, buy a few resist gears, go for a defensive build (skills wise, not stats wise) and actually get it done in a couple days without much problems. ~25k DPS+, 20-25k HP and ~250-300 resists will get the job done.
Now I would like to discuss about the acts III and IV. I had an interesting discussion with a fellow WD last night, that was supposedly farming Siegebraker VQ style with zombie bears. I was thinking about giving it a shot myself.. Since I read Naught's post, the rather defensive build worked out pretty well for me, but now I feel like in the act III since i'm going to die a LOT anyway, I might aswell try to go for some suicidal build that consists in lowering the HP of the champions/elite packs as much as I can before I get dropped, and finish them off the second or third attempt.
Fellow WDs that are doing good in acts III-IV without GREAT gears of course (nothing above 35k HP - 500 resists - 50k dps buffed), whats your skill build philosophy? Unbreakable grasp/kite kite kite with at least a couple defensive active skills? some VQ build with bats or bears? Something in between?
Would be very interested to read about it
Forget About VQ past Act II. Doesn't matter if you have a nice gear or a bad one, you Must kite, and you will die with 1-2 shoots anyway, so you will always have to Kite/CC with a variation of Darts+Grasp+xxx

Plus, only 10 items at AH and you cannot remove, or you sell, or you wait untill they expire.

Only variation I use is the hex glyph for +damage, but considering changing it for those damn reflects damage packs. Currently up to 65k DPS and down to 20k HP, been soloing pony level for days now. More WD need to use this instead of the stupid bears build, though I too have had to resort to it for killing certain bosses quickly (before getting instagibbed). I hope to eventually have the resist, armor, and hp to survive, but for now this lets me kite and kill everything.
65k DPS Unbuffed with Veil I assume? Pretty impressive, mind to show off you gear?
